1 He that is wounded in the stones or is castrated shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
1 “Se um homem tiver os testículos esmagados ou o membro amputado, não terá permissão de entrar nas reuniões sagradas do S enhor .
2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
2 “Se alguém for filho ilegítimo, nem ele nem seus descendentes, até a décima geração, terão permissão de entrar nas reuniões sagradas do S enhor .
3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever,
3 “Nenhum amonita ou moabita, e nenhum de seus descendentes, até a décima geração, terá permissão de participar das reuniões sagradas do S enhor .
4 because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way when ye came forth out of Egypt and because they hired against thee Balaam, the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
4 Essas nações não os receberam com alimento e água quando vocês saíram do Egito. Em vez disso, contrataram Balaão, filho de Beor, nascido em Petor, na Mesopotâmia, para amaldiçoá-los.
5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam, but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee because the LORD thy God loved thee.
5 Mas o S enhor , seu Deus, se recusou a ouvir Balaão e transformou a maldição em bênção, pois o S enhor , seu Deus, os ama.
6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
6 Enquanto viverem, jamais promovam o bem-estar e a prosperidade dos amonitas ou moabitas.
7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for he [is] thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian because thou wast a stranger in his land.
7 “Não mostrem ódio aos edomitas, pois são seus parentes, nem aos egípcios, pois vocês viveram como estrangeiros entre eles.
8 The sons that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
8 A terceira geração de edomitas e egípcios poderá entrar nas reuniões sagradas do S enhor .”
9 When the host goes forth against thine enemies, then keep thyself from every evil thing.
9 “Quando saírem para guerrear contra seus inimigos, mantenham-se afastados de tudo que é impuro.
10 When there is among you any man that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chances by night, then he shall go abroad out of the camp; he shall not come within the camp.
10 “O homem que ficar cerimonialmente impuro por causa de uma polução noturna sairá do acampamento e ficará fora o dia todo.
11 And it shall be when evening comes, he shall wash [himself] with water, and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp [again].
11 Ao entardecer, ele se banhará e, ao pôr do sol, poderá voltar ao acampamento.
12 Thou shalt have a place also outside the camp where thou shalt go forth abroad;
12 “Determinem uma área fora do acampamento onde possam fazer as necessidades.
13 and thou shalt have a stake among thy weapons; and it shall be when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig with it and shalt turn back and cover thy excrement;
13 Cada um deve ter uma pá como parte de seu equipamento. Quando forem evacuar, cavem um buraco com a pá e cubram as fezes.
14 for the LORD thy God walks in the midst of thy camp to deliver thee and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore, shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee and turn away from thee.
14 O acampamento deverá ser santo, pois o S enhor , seu Deus, anda no meio dele para proteger vocês e derrotar seus inimigos. Cuidem para que ele não veja em seu meio qualquer coisa vergonhosa e se afaste de vocês.
15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant who is escaped from his master unto thee.
15 “Se escravos fugirem e se refugiarem com vocês, não os devolvam a seus senhores.
16 He shall dwell with thee, [even] among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates where he likes it best; thou shalt not oppress him.
16 Permitam que eles vivam em seu meio em qualquer cidade que escolherem, e não os oprimam.
17 There shall be no female cult prostitutes of the daughters of Israel nor any male cult prostitutes of the sons of Israel.
17 “Nenhum israelita, homem ou mulher, se dedicará à prostituição em templos idólatras.
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow; for even both these [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.
18 “Quando apresentarem uma oferta para cumprir um voto, não tragam à casa do S enhor , seu Deus, nenhuma oferta proveniente dos lucros de uma prostituta ou de um prostituto, pois ambos são detestáveis ao S enhor , seu Deus.
19 Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother, usury of money, usury of food, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury.
19 “Não cobrem juros sobre os empréstimos que fizerem a um irmão israelita, seja de dinheiro, de alimento ou de qualquer outra coisa.
20 Unto a stranger thou may lend upon usury, but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands upon the land which thou doest enter in to inherit.
20 Poderão cobrar juros dos estrangeiros, mas não cobrarão juros de israelitas, para que o S enhor , seu Deus, os abençoe em tudo que fizerem na terra da qual estão prestes a tomar posse.
21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it; for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
21 “Quando fizerem um voto ao S enhor , seu Deus, cumpram-no prontamente. O S enhor , seu Deus, cobrará de vocês o cumprimento dos votos, ou serão culpados de pecado.
22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall not be sin in thee.
22 Não é pecado deixar de fazer voto.
23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform, that which thou hast promised unto the LORD thy God, that which thou hast spoken of thy free will with thy mouth.
23 Mas, se fizerem um voto voluntário, cumpram cuidadosamente a promessa feita ao S enhor , seu Deus.
24 When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou may eat grapes, thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put [any] in thy vessel.
24 “Quando entrarem no vinhedo de seu vizinho, poderão comer uvas até se saciarem, mas não as levem num cesto.
25 When thou comest into the standing grain of thy neighbour, then thou may pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing grain.:
25 E, quando entrarem no campo de um vizinho, poderão apanhar as espigas de cereal com a mão, mas não usem a foice para cortá-las.”
