1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the families of the sons of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which [is] Zion.
1 Então, congregou Salomão os anciãos de Israel e todos os cabeças das tribos, os príncipes dos pais, dentre os filhos de Israel, diante de si em Jerusalém, para fazerem subir a arca do concerto do Senhor da Cidade de Davi, que é Sião.
2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto King Solomon in the month Ethanim, which [is] the seventh month, on the solemn day.
2 E todos os homens de Israel se juntaram, na festa, ao rei Salomão, no mês de etanim, que é o sétimo mês.
3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
3 E vieram todos os anciãos de Israel, e os sacerdotes alçaram a arca.
4 And they brought up the ark of the LORD and the tabernacle of the testimony and all the holy vessels that [were] in the tabernacle, which the priests and the Levites carried.
4 E trouxeram a arca do Senhor para cima e o tabernáculo da congregação, juntamente com todos os utensílios sagrados que havia no tabernáculo; assim os trouxeram para cima os sacerdotes e os levitas.
5 And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him [were] with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.
5 E o rei Salomão e toda a congregação de Israel que se congregara a ele estavam todos diante da arca, sacrificando ovelhas e vacas, que se não podiam contar, nem numerar pela multidão.
6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, in the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubim.
6 Assim trouxeram os sacerdotes a arca do concerto do Senhor ao seu lugar, ao oráculo da casa, ao Lugar Santíssimo, até debaixo das asas dos querubins.
7 For the cherubim had their wings extended over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staves from above.
7 Porque os querubins estendiam ambas as asas sobre o lugar da arca e cobriam a arca e os seus varais por cima.
8 And they drew out the staves so that the ends of the staves could be seen out in the holy [place] in front of the oracle, but they could not be seen from outside, and thus they remained until today.
8 E os varais sobressaíram tanto, que as pontas dos varais se viam desde o santuário diante do oráculo; porém de fora não se viam; e ficaram ali até ao dia de hoje.
9 [There was] nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD cut a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
9 Na arca, nada havia, senão só as duas tábuas de pedra que Moisés ali pusera junto a Horebe, quando o Senhor fez aliança com os filhos de Israel, saindo eles da terra do Egito.
10 And when the priests came out of the holy [place], the cloud filled the house of the LORD.
10 E sucedeu que, saindo os sacerdotes do santuário, uma nuvem encheu a Casa do Senhor .
11 And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
11 E não podiam ter-se em pé os sacerdotes para ministrar, por causa da nuvem, porque a glória do Senhor enchera a Casa do Senhor .
12 Then Solomon said, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
12 Então, disse Salomão: O Senhor disse que habitaria nas trevas.
13 I have surely built thee a house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
13 Certamente, te edifiquei uma casa para morada, assento para a tua eterna habitação.
14 And the king turned his face about and blessed all the congregation of Israel, and all the congregation of Israel were standing.
14 Então, virou o rei o rosto e abençoou toda a congregação de Israel; e toda a congregação de Israel estava em pé.
15 And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth unto David my father, and with his hand has fulfilled [it], saying,
15 E disse: Bendito seja o Senhor , o Deus de Israel, que falou pela sua boca a Davi, meu pai, e pela sua mão o cumpriu, dizendo:
16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there, but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
16 Desde o dia em que eu tirei o meu povo de Israel do Egito, não escolhi cidade alguma de todas as tribos de Israel para edificar alguma casa, para ali estabelecer o meu nome; porém escolhi a Davi, para que governasse sobre o meu povo de Israel.
17 And it was in the heart of David, my father, to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
17 Também Davi, meu pai, propusera em seu coração o edificar casa ao nome do Senhor , o Deus de Israel.
18 But the LORD said unto David, my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart;
18 Porém o Senhor disse a Davi, meu pai: Porquanto propuseste no teu coração o edificar casa ao meu nome, bem fizeste em o propor no teu coração.
19 nevertheless, thou shalt not build the house, but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build [a] house unto my name.
19 Todavia, tu não edificarás esta casa, porém teu filho, que descender de ti, edificará esta casa ao meu nome.
20 And the LORD has established his word that he spoke, and I have risen up in the place of David, my father, and sit on the throne of Israel as the LORD had said and have built a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
20 Assim confirmou o Senhor a sua palavra que tinha dito; porque me levantei em lugar de Davi, meu pai, e me assentei no trono de Israel, como tem dito o Senhor ; e edifiquei uma casa ao nome do Senhor , o Deus de Israel.
21 And I have set there a place for the ark, in which [is] the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
21 E constituí ali lugar para a arca em que está o concerto que o Senhor fez com nossos pais, quando os tirou da terra do Egito.
22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and extending his hands toward heaven,
22 E pôs-se Salomão diante do altar do Senhor , em frente de toda a congregação de Israel, e estendeu as mãos para os céus,
23 he said, LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God like thee, in the heavens above or on earth beneath, who keeps the covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart,
23 e disse: Ó Senhor , Deus de Israel, não há Deus como tu, em cima nos céus nem embaixo na terra, que guardas o concerto e a beneficência a teus servos que andam de todo o seu coração diante de ti;
24 who hast kept unto thy servant David, my father, what thou didst declare unto him; thou didst say it with thy mouth and hast fulfilled [it] with thy hand, as [we see] this day.
24 que cumpriste com teu servo Davi, meu pai, o que lhe disseras; porque, com a tua boca, o disseste e, com a tua mão, o cumpriste, como neste dia se vê.
25 Therefore, now, LORD God of Israel, fulfill unto thy servant David, my father, what thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if thy sons keep their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
25 Agora, pois, ó Senhor , Deus de Israel, faze a teu servo Davi, meu pai, o que lhe falaste, dizendo: Não te faltará sucessor diante de mim, que se assente no trono de Israel; somente que teus filhos guardem o seu caminho, para andarem diante de mim como tu andaste diante de mim.
26 And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be made firm, which thou didst speak unto thy servant David, my father.
26 Agora, também, ó Deus de Israel, cumpra-se a tua palavra que disseste a teu servo Davi, meu pai.
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens, the heavens of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have built?
27 Mas, na verdade, habitaria Deus na terra? Eis que os céus e até o céu dos céus te não poderiam conter, quanto menos esta casa que eu tenho edificado.
28 Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prays before thee today,
28 Volve-te, pois, para a oração de teu servo e para a sua súplica, ó Senhor , meu Deus, para ouvires o clamor e a oração que o teu servo, hoje, faz diante de ti.
29 that thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, [even] toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there that thou may hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make in this place.
29 Para que os teus olhos, noite e dia, estejam abertos sobre esta casa, sobre este lugar, do qual disseste: O meu nome estará ali; para ouvires a oração que o teu servo fizer neste lugar.
30 Therefore, thou shalt hearken unto the supplication of thy servant and of thy people Israel when they shall pray in this place and hear in thy dwelling place, from the heavens; please hear and forgive.
30 Ouve, pois, a súplica do teu servo e do teu povo de Israel, quando orarem neste lugar; também ouve tu, no lugar da tua habitação nos céus; ouve também e perdoa.
31 When anyone shall have sinned against his neighbour, and an oath is laid upon him to cause him to swear and the oath comes before thy altar in this house,
31 Quando alguém pecar contra o seu próximo, e puserem sobre ele juramento, para o ajuramentarem, e vier o juramento diante do teu altar, nesta casa,
32 thou shalt hear from heaven and do and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head, and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
32 ouve tu, então, nos céus, e age, e julga os teus servos, condenando ao injusto, fazendo recair o seu proceder sobre a sua cabeça, e justificando ao justo, e fazendo-lhe segundo a sua justiça.
33 When thy people Israel are smitten down before the enemy because they have sinned against thee and shall turn again to thee and confess thy name and pray and make supplication with humility unto thee in this house,
33 Quando o teu povo de Israel for ferido diante do inimigo, por ter pecado contra ti, e se converterem a ti, e confessarem o teu nome, e orarem, e suplicarem a ti nesta casa,
34 then thou shalt hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of thy people Israel and bring them again unto the land which thou didst give unto their fathers.
34 ouve tu, então, nos céus, e perdoa o pecado do teu povo de Israel, e torna a levá-lo à terra que tens dado a seus pais.
35 When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against thee, if they pray in this place and confess thy name and turn from their sin when thou hast afflicted them,
35 Quando os céus se cerrarem, e não houver chuva, por terem pecado contra ti, e orarem neste lugar, e confessarem o teu nome, e se converterem dos seus pecados, havendo-os tu afligido,
36 then thou shalt hear in the heavens and forgive the sin of thy servants and of thy people Israel, teaching them the good way in which they should walk and shalt give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
36 ouve tu, então, nos céus, e perdoa o pecado de teus servos e do teu povo de Israel, ensinando-lhes o bom caminho em que andem, e dá chuva na terra que deste ao teu povo em herança.
37 When there is famine in the land or pestilence or blasting or mildew or locusts or caterpillars, if their enemy besieges them in the land of their gates, whatever plague, whatever sickness [there is],
37 Quando houver fome na terra, quando houver peste, quando houver queima de searas, ferrugem, gafanhotos e pulgão, quando o seu inimigo o cercar na terra das suas portas ou houver alguma praga ou doença,
38 every prayer and every supplication made by any man or by all thy people Israel, when anyone knows the plague of his own heart and spreads forth his hands toward this house,
38 toda oração, toda súplica que qualquer homem de todo o teu povo de Israel fizer, conhecendo cada um a chaga do seu coração e estendendo as mãos para esta casa,
39 then thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, and forgive and do and give to each one according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest (for thou, [even] thou only, knowest the hearts of all the sons of men),
39 ouve tu, então, nos céus, assento da tua habitação, e perdoa, e faze, e dá a cada um conforme todos os seus caminhos e segundo vires o seu coração, porque só tu conheces o coração de todos os filhos dos homens.
40 that they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou didst give unto our fathers.
40 Para que te temam todos os dias que viverem na terra que deste a nossos pais.
41 Likewise concerning a stranger, that [is] not of thy people Israel, but comes out of a far country for thy name's sake
41 E também ouve ao estrangeiro que não for do teu povo Israel, porém vier de terras remotas, por amor do teu nome
42 (for they shall have heard of thy great name and of thy strong hand and of thy stretched out arm), when he shall come to pray in this house,
42 (porque ouvirão do teu grande nome, e da tua forte mão, e do teu braço estendido), e vier orar a esta casa.
43 thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, and do according to all that for which the stranger shall have called unto thee, that all peoples of the earth may know thy name and fear thee as [do] thy people Israel and that they may know that thy name is invoked upon this house, which I have built.
43 Ouve tu nos céus, assento da tua habitação, e faze conforme tudo o que o estrangeiro a ti clamar, a fim de que todos os povos da terra conheçam o teu nome, para te temerem como o teu povo de Israel e para saberem que o teu nome é invocado sobre esta casa que tenho edificado.
44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemies by the way which thou shalt send them and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen and [toward] the house that I have built for thy name,
44 Quando o teu povo sair à guerra contra o seu inimigo, pelo caminho por que os enviares, e orarem ao Senhor , para a banda desta cidade que tu elegeste e desta casa que edifiquei ao teu nome,
45 thou shalt hear in the heavens their prayer and their supplication and do their judgment.
45 ouve, então, nos céus a sua oração e a sua súplica e faze-lhes justiça.
46 If they have sinned against thee (for [there is] no man that does not sin) and thou should be angry with them and deliver them to the enemy so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near,
46 Quando pecarem contra ti (pois não há homem que não peque), e tu te indignares contra eles, e os entregares nas mãos do inimigo, para que os que os cativarem os levem em cativeiro à terra do inimigo, quer longe ou perto esteja;
47 and they return unto their heart in the land where they were carried captives and return and make supplication unto thee in the land of those that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned and have done iniquity, we have committed wickedness;
47 e, na terra aonde forem levados em cativeiro, tornarem em si, e se converterem, e na terra do seu cativeiro te suplicarem, dizendo: Pecamos, e perversamente agimos, e cometemos iniquidade;
48 and [so] convert themselves unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who led them away captive and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou didst give unto their fathers, [toward] the city which thou hast chosen and the house which I have built for thy name,
48 e, se converterem a ti de todo o seu coração e de toda a sua alma, na terra de seus inimigos que os levaram em cativeiro, e orarem a ti para a banda da terra que deste a seus pais, para esta cidade que elegeste e para esta casa que edifiquei ao teu nome;
49 thou shalt hear in the heavens, in the habitation of thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplication and do what is right unto them
49 ouve, então, nos céus, assento da tua habitação, a sua oração e a sua súplica, e faze-lhes justiça,
50 and forgive thy people that have sinned against thee and all their rebellions by which they have rebelled against thee and cause those who carried them captive to have mercy on them,
50 e perdoa ao teu povo que houver pecado contra ti todas as suas prevaricações com que houverem prevaricado contra ti; e faze-lhes misericórdia perante aqueles que os têm cativos, para que deles tenham compaixão.
51 for they [are] thy people and thy inheritance, which thou didst bring forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace.
51 Porque são o teu povo e a tua herança que tiraste da terra do Egito, do meio do forno de ferro,
52 Let thine eyes be open unto the supplication of thy servant and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
52 para que teus olhos estejam abertos à súplica do teu servo e à súplica do teu povo de Israel, a fim de os ouvires em tudo quanto clamarem a ti.
53 For thou didst separate them from among all the peoples of the earth, [to be] thy inheritance, as thou didst speak by the hand of Moses, thy servant, when thou didst bring our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.
53 Pois tu, para tua herança, os elegeste de todos os povos da terra, como tens dito pelo ministério de Moisés, teu servo, quando tiraste os nossos pais do Egito, Senhor Jeová .
54 And it was [so], that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands extended toward heaven.
54 Sucedeu, pois, que, acabando Salomão de fazer ao Senhor esta oração e esta súplica, estando de joelhos e com as mãos estendidas para os céus, se levantou de diante do altar do Senhor ,
55 And he stood and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
55 e pôs-se em pé, e abençoou a toda a congregação de Israel em alta voz, dizendo:
56 Blessed [be] the LORD that has given rest unto his people Israel according to all that he had said; not one word has failed of all his good word, which he spoke by the hand of Moses, his servant.
56 Bendito seja o Senhor , que deu repouso ao seu povo de Israel, segundo tudo o que disse; nem uma só palavra caiu de todas as suas boas palavras que falou pelo ministério de Moisés, seu servo.
57 The LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; let him not leave us nor forsake us
57 O Senhor , nosso Deus, seja conosco, como foi com nossos pais; não nos desampare e não nos deixe,
58 that he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his rights, which he commanded our fathers.
58 inclinando a si o nosso coração, para andar em todos os seus caminhos e para guardar os seus mandamentos, e os seus estatutos, e os seus juízos que ordenou a nossos pais.
59 And let these my words, with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be near unto the LORD our God day and night that he maintain the judgment of his servant and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require;
59 E que estas minhas palavras com que supliquei perante o Senhor estejam perto, diante do Senhor , nosso Deus, de dia e de noite, para que execute o juízo do seu servo e o juízo do seu povo de Israel, a cada qual no seu dia,
60 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD [is] God, [and that there is] no other.
60 para que todos os povos da terra saibam que o Senhor é Deus e que não há outro.
61 Let your heart, therefore, be perfect with the LORD our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.
61 E seja o vosso coração perfeito para com o Senhor , nosso Deus, para andardes nos seus estatutos e guardardes os seus mandamentos, como hoje.
62 Then the king and all Israel with him, offered sacrifices before the LORD.
62 E o rei e todo o Israel com ele sacrificaram sacrifícios perante a face do Senhor .
63 And Solomon offered sacrifices of peace, which he offered unto the LORD, [which were] twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
63 E ofereceu Salomão em sacrifício pacífico o que sacrificou ao Senhor , vinte e duas mil vacas e cento e vinte mil ovelhas; assim o rei e todos os filhos de Israel consagraram a Casa do Senhor .
64 That same day the king sanctified the middle of the court that [was] before the house of the LORD, for there he offered the burnt offerings and the presents and the fat of the peace [offerings] because the brasen altar that [was] before the LORD [was] too small to receive the burnt offerings and the presents and the fat of the peace [offerings].
64 No mesmo dia, santificou o rei o meio do átrio que estava diante da Casa do Senhor ; porquanto ali preparara os holocaustos e as ofertas com a gordura dos sacrifícios pacíficos; porque o altar de cobre que estava diante da face do Senhor era muito pequeno para nele caberem os holocaustos, e as ofertas, e a gordura dos sacrifícios pacíficos.
65 And at that time Solomon held a feast and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, for seven days and another seven days, [even] fourteen days.
65 No mesmo tempo, celebrou Salomão a festa, e todo o Israel, com ele, uma grande congregação, desde a entrada de Hamate até ao rio do Egito, perante a face do Senhor , nosso Deus, por sete dias e mais sete dias, catorze dias.
66 On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they, blessing the king, went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done unto David, his servant, and unto Israel his people.:
66 E, no oitavo dia, despediu o povo, e eles abençoaram o rei; então, se foram às suas tendas, alegres e contentes de coração, por causa de todo o bem que o Senhor fizera a Davi, seu servo, e a Israel, seu povo.
