¹ O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy wrath.

¹ Senhor, não me repreendas na tua ira, nem me castigues no teu furor.

² Be gracious unto me, O LORD, for I languish away; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are affrighted.

² Tem misericórdia de mim, Senhor, porque sou fraco; sara-me, Senhor, porque os meus ossos estão perturbados.

³ My soul also is sore affrighted; and Thou, O LORD, how long?

³ Até a minha alma está perturbada; mas tu, Senhor, até quando?.

⁴ Return, O LORD, deliver my soul; save me for Thy mercy's sake.

⁴ Volta-te, Senhor, livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua benignidade.

⁵ For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the nether-world who will give Thee thanks?

⁵ Porque na morte não há lembrança de ti; no sepulcro quem te louvará?

⁶ I am weary with my groaning; every night make I my bed to swim; I melt away my couch with my tears.

⁶ Já estou cansado do meu gemido, toda a noite faço nadar a minha cama; molho o meu leito com as minhas lágrimas,

⁷ Mine eye is dimmed because of vexation; it waxeth old because of all mine adversaries.

⁷ Já os meus olhos estão consumidos pela mágoa, e têm-se envelhecido por causa de todos os meus inimigos.

⁸ Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

⁸ Apartai-vos de mim todos os que praticais a iniqüidade; porque o Senhor já ouviu a voz do meu pranto.

⁹ The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD receiveth my prayer.

⁹ O Senhor já ouviu a minha súplica; o Senhor aceitará a minha oração.

¹⁰ All mine enemies shall be ashamed and sore affrighted; they shall turn back, they shall be ashamed suddenly.

¹⁰ Envergonhem-se e perturbem-se todos os meus inimigos; tornem atrás e envergonhem-se num momento.
