1 A Psalm of David. O LORD, hear my prayer, give ear to my supplications; in Thy faithfulness answer me, and in Thy righteousness.
1 Atende, Senhor , a minha oração, dá ouvidos às minhas súplicas. Responde-me, segundo a tua fidelidade, segundo a tua justiça.
2 And enter not into judgment with Thy servant; for in Thy sight shall no man living be justified.
2 Não entres em juízo com o teu servo, porque à tua vista não há justo nenhum vivente.
3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath crushed my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
3 Pois o inimigo me tem perseguido a alma; tem arrojado por terra a minha vida; tem-me feito habitar na escuridão, como aqueles que morreram há muito.
4 And my spirit fainteth within me; my heart within me is appalled.
4 Por isso, dentro de mim esmorece o meu espírito, e o coração se vê turbado.
5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Thy doing; I muse on the work of Thy hands.
5 Lembro-me dos dias de outrora, penso em todos os teus feitos e considero nas obras das tuas mãos.
6 I spread forth my hands unto Thee; my soul thirsteth after Thee, as a weary land. Selah
6 A ti levanto as mãos; a minha alma anseia por ti, como terra sedenta.
7 Answer me speedily, O LORD, my spirit faileth; hide not Thy face from me; lest I become like them that go down into the pit.
7 Dá-te pressa, Senhor , em responder-me; o espírito me desfalece; não me escondas a tua face, para que eu não me torne como os que baixam à cova.
8 Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in Thee do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto Thee have I lifted up my soul.
8 Faze-me ouvir, pela manhã, da tua graça, pois em ti confio; mostra-me o caminho por onde devo andar, porque a ti elevo a minha alma.
9 Deliver me from mine enemies, O LORD; with Thee have I hidden myself.
9 Livra-me, Senhor , dos meus inimigos; pois em ti é que me refugio.
10 Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God; let Thy good spirit lead me in an even land.
10 Ensina-me a fazer a tua vontade, pois tu és o meu Deus; guie-me o teu bom Espírito por terreno plano.
11 For Thy name's sake, O LORD, quicken me; in Thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
11 Vivifica-me, Senhor , por amor do teu nome; por amor da tua justiça, tira da tribulação a minha alma.
12 And in Thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that harass my soul; for I am Thy servant.
12 E, por tua misericórdia, dá cabo dos meus inimigos e destrói todos os que me atribulam a alma, pois eu sou teu servo.
