1 A Song of Ascents. Happy is every one that feareth the LORD, that walketh in His ways.
1 Bem-aventurado aquele que teme ao Senhor e anda nos seus caminhos!
2 When thou eatest the labour of thy hands, happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
2 Pois comerás do trabalho das tuas mãos, feliz serás, e te irá bem.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of thy house; thy children like olive plants, round about thy table.
3 A tua mulher será como a videira frutífera aos lados da tua casa; os teus filhos, como plantas de oliveira, à roda da tua mesa.
4 Behold, surely thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
4 Eis que assim será abençoado o homem que teme ao Senhor !
5 The LORD bless thee out of Zion; and see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life;
5 O Senhor te abençoará desde Sião, e tu verás o bem de Jerusalém em todos os dias da tua vida.
6 And see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
6 E verás os filhos de teus filhos e a paz sobre Israel.
