1 A Song of Ascents; of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'
1 Alegrei-me com os que me disseram: "Vamos à casa do Senhor! "
2 Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
2 Nossos pés já se encontram dentro de suas portas, ó Jerusalém!
3 Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;
3 Jerusalém está construída como cidade firmemente estabelecida.
4 Whither the tribes went up, even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
4 Para lá sobem as tribos do Senhor, para dar graças ao Senhor, conforme o mandamento dado a Israel.
5 For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
5 Lá estão os tribunais de justiça, os tribunais da casa real de Davi.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.
6 Orem pela paz de Jerusalém: "Vivam em segurança aqueles que te amam!
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
7 Haja paz dentro dos teus muros e segurança nas tuas cidadelas! "
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.'
8 Em favor de meus irmãos e amigos, direi: "Paz seja com você! "
9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
9 Em favor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, buscarei o seu bem.
