1 Say ye unto your brethren: 'Ammi'; and to your sisters, 'Ruhamah.'
1 Chamem seus irmãos de Ami, e suas irmãs de Ruamá.
2 Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not My wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her harlotries from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
2 “Acusem a mãe de vocês, acusem-na, porque ela não é minha mulher, e eu não sou seu marido. Que ela afaste as suas prostituições de sua presença e os seus adultérios de entre os seus seios.
3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
3 Do contrário, eu a deixarei sem roupa e nua como no dia em que nasceu. Eu a tornarei semelhante a um deserto, a uma terra seca, e deixarei que morra de sede.
4 And I will not have compassion upon her children; for they are children of harlotry.
4 E não terei compaixão de seus filhos, porque são filhos de uma prostituta.
5 For their mother hath played the harlot, she that conceived them hath done shamefully; for she said: 'I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.'
5 Pois a mãe deles se prostituiu; aquela que os concebeu agiu de forma vergonhosa. Porque disse: ‘Irei atrás dos meus amantes, que me dão o meu pão e a minha água, a minha lã e o meu linho, o meu azeite e as minhas bebidas.’”
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and I will make a wall against her, that she shall not find her paths.
6 “Portanto, eis que cercarei o seu caminho com espinhos e levantarei um muro contra ela, para que ela não ache as suas veredas.
7 And she shall run after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them, and she shall seek them, but shall not find them; then shall she say: 'I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.'
7 Ela correrá atrás dos seus amantes, mas não os alcançará; irá procurá-los, mas não os encontrará. Então dirá: ‘Vou voltar para o meu primeiro marido, porque a minha vida era melhor naquele tempo do que agora.’
8 For she did not know that it was I that gave her the corn, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied unto her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
8 Ela não reconheceu que fui eu que lhe dei o trigo, o vinho e o azeite; fui eu que lhe multipliquei a prata e o ouro, que eles usaram para Baal.
9 Therefore will I take back My corn in the time thereof, and My wine in the season thereof, and will snatch away My wool and My flax given to cover her nakedness.
9 Portanto, farei com que, no devido tempo, ela devolva o meu trigo e o meu vinho. Tirarei dela a minha lã e o meu linho, que deviam cobrir a sua nudez.
10 And now will I uncover her shame in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of My hand.
10 Agora descobrirei as suas vergonhas aos olhos dos seus amantes, e ninguém a livrará da minha mão.
11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feasts, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her appointed seasons.
11 Farei cessar toda a sua alegria, as suas festas, as Festas de Lua Nova, os seus sábados e todas as suas solenidades.
12 And I will lay waste her vines and her fig-trees, whereof she hath said: 'These are my hire that my lovers have given me'; and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
12 Devastarei as suas videiras e as suas figueiras, das quais ela diz: ‘Este é o pagamento que recebi dos meus amantes.’ Farei com que virem mato, e os animais selvagens as devorarão.
13 And I will visit upon her the days of the Baalim, wherein she offered unto them, and decked herself with her ear-rings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot Me, saith the LORD.
13 Eu a castigarei pelos dias dos baalins, nos quais lhes queimou incenso, e se enfeitou com os seus pendentes e com as suas joias, e andou atrás de seus amantes, mas de mim se esqueceu”, diz o
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly unto her.
14 “Portanto, eis que eu a atrairei, e a levarei para o deserto, e lhe falarei ao coração.
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she shall respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
15 E ali eu lhe devolverei as suas vinhas e farei do vale de Acor uma porta de esperança. Ali ela me responderá como nos dias da sua mocidade e como no dia em que saiu da terra do Egito.
16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call Me Ishi, and shalt call Me no more Baali.
16 Naquele dia”, diz o “ela me chamará de ‘Meu Marido’, e não me chamará mais de ‘Meu Baal’.
17 For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name.
17 Removerei da sua boca os nomes dos baalins, e ela não mais se lembrará desses nomes.
18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground; and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely.
18 Naquele dia, farei a favor dela uma aliança com os animais selvagens, com as aves do céu e com os animais que rastejam sobre a terra. Tirarei da terra o arco, a espada e a guerra e farei com que o meu povo repouse em segurança.
19 And I will betroth thee unto Me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in compassion.
19 Farei de você a minha esposa para sempre. Farei de você a minha esposa em justiça, em juízo, em bondade e em misericórdia.
20 And I will betroth thee unto Me in faithfulness; and thou shalt know the LORD.
20 Farei de você a minha esposa em fidelidade, e você conhecerá o
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will respond, saith the LORD, I will respond to the heavens, and they shall respond to the earth;
21 “Naquele dia, eu responderei”, diz o “responderei aos céus, e estes responderão à terra;
22 And the earth shall respond to the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall respond to Jezreel.
22 a terra responderá ao trigo, ao vinho e ao azeite; e estes responderão a Jezreel.
23 And I will sow her unto Me in the land; and I will have compassion upon her that had not obtained compassion; and I will say to them that were not My people: 'Thou art My people'; and they shall say: 'Thou art my God.'
23 Semearei Israel para mim mesmo na terra e terei compaixão de Lo-Ruamá. E para Lo-Ami direi: ‘Você é o meu povo!’ Ele responderá: ‘Tu és o meu Deus!’”
