1 Oh that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! When I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, and none would despise me.
1 Quem dera que você fosse meu irmão, amamentado aos seios de minha mãe! Se eu o encontrasse na rua, poderia beijá-lo, e não me desprezariam!
2 I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, that thou mightest instruct me; I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine, of the juice of my pomegranate.
2 Eu o levaria para a casa da minha mãe, e você me ensinaria; eu lhe daria de beber vinho aromático e o suco das minhas romãs.
3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
3 A sua mão esquerda estaria debaixo da minha cabeça, e a sua direita me abraçaria.
4 'I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem: Why should ye awaken, or stir up love, until it please?'
4 Filhas de Jerusalém, jurem pelas gazelas e pelas corças selvagens que vocês não acordarão nem despertarão o amor, até que este o queira. Coro
5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple-tree I awakened thee; there thy mother was in travail with thee; there was she in travail and brought thee forth.
5 Quem é esta que vem subindo do deserto, apoiada em seu amado? Esposa Debaixo da macieira eu o despertei; ali a sua mãe teve dores de parto, ali esteve com dores aquela que o deu à luz.
6 Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thine arm; for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave; the flashes thereof are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD.
6 Ponha-me como selo sobre o seu coração, como selo sobre o seu braço, porque o amor é tão forte como a morte, e o ciúme é tão duro como a sepultura. As suas chamas são chamas de fogo, são labaredas enormes.
7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, he would utterly be contemned.

9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a turret of silver; and if she be a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.

10 I am a wall, and my breasts like the towers thereof; then was I in his eyes as one that found peace.
10 Eu sou uma muralha, e os meus seios, como as suas torres. Por isso, sou para ele como aquela que encontra a paz. Coro
11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he gave over the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof brought in a thousand pieces of silver.
11 Salomão teve uma vinha em Baal-Hamom. Ele a entregou a uns lavradores, e cada um lhe trazia pelo seu fruto mil moedas de prata. Esposa
12 My vineyard, which is mine, is before me; thou, O Solomon, shalt have the thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
12 A minha vinha, que me pertence, dessa cuido eu! Você, Salomão, terá as suas mil moedas, e os que guardam o fruto dela, as suas duzentas. Esposo
13 Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken for thy voice: 'Cause me to hear it.'
13 Você, que habita nos jardins, os meus companheiros querem ouvir a sua voz! Eu também quero ouvi-la. Esposa
14 Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a gazelle or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
14 Venha depressa, meu amado, correndo como um gamo ou um filho da gazela sobre os montes perfumados.
