¹ Moreover David and the captains of the host separated for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of them that did the work according to their service was:

¹ Além disso, Davi e os capitães do exército separaram para o serviço alguns dos filhos de Asafe, e de Hemã, e de Jedutum, que deveriam profetizar com harpas, com saltérios, e com címbalos; e o número dos trabalhadores, segundo o seu serviço, era:

² of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph; under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied according to the direction of the king.

² dos filhos de Asafe: Zacur, e José, e Netanias, e Asarela, os filhos de Asafe, sob as mãos de Asafe, o qual profetizava segundo a ordem do rei.

³ Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six; under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD.

³ De Jedutum: os filhos de Jedutum; Gedalias, e Zeri, e Jesaías, Hasabias, e Matitias, seis, sob as mãos do seu pai, Jedutum, que profetizava com uma harpa, para dar graças e louvor ao SENHOR.

⁴ Of Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

⁴ De Hemã: os filhos de Hemã; Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, Jerimote, Hananias, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-Ézer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir, e Maaziote;

⁵ all these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the things pertaining to God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

⁵ todos estes eram os filhos de Hemã, o vidente do rei nas palavras de Deus, para erguer o chifre. E Deus deu a Hemã, catorze filhos e três filhas.

⁶ All these were under the hands of their fathers for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the direction of the king--Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

⁶ Todos estes estiveram debaixo das mãos do seu pai para cânticos na casa do SENHOR, com címbalos, saltérios, e harpas para o serviço da casa de Deus, segundo a ordem do rei a Asafe, Jedutum e Hemã.

⁷ And the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in singing unto the LORD, even all that were skilful, was two hundred fourscore and eight.

⁷ Então, o número deles, com os seus irmãos que eram instruídos nos cânticos do SENHOR, a saber, todos os que eram peritos, era de duzentos e oitenta e oito.

⁸ And they cast lots ward against ward , as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

⁸ E eles lançaram sorte, guarda contra guarda, tanto o pequeno como o grande, tanto o mestre quanto o discípulo.

⁹ Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah; he and his brethren and sons were twelve;

⁹ Ora, a primeira sorte saiu por Asafe para José; a segunda para Gedalias, que, com os seus irmãos e filhos eram doze;

¹⁰ The third to Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁰ a terceira para Zacur, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

¹¹ The fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁴ The seventh to Jesarelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁴ a sétima para Jesarela, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

¹⁵ The eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁵ a oitava para Jesaías, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

¹⁶ The ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁶ a nona para Matanias, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

¹⁷ The tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁷ a décima para Simei, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

¹⁸ The eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁹ The twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

¹⁹ a duodécima para Hasabias, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

²⁰ For the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

²⁰ a décima terceira para Subael, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

²¹ For the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

²² For the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

²² a décima quinta para Jerimote, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

²³ For the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

²³ a décima sexta para Hananias, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

²⁴ For the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

²⁴ a décima sétima para Josbecasa, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

²⁵ For the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

³⁰ For the three and twentieth to Mahazioth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

³⁰ a vigésima terceira para Maaziote, ele, os seus filhos, e os seus irmãos, eram doze;

³¹ For the four and twentieth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
