1 To him that excelleth upon Gittith. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. O Lord of hostes, howe amiable are thy Tabernacles!
1 Quão amáveis são os teus tabernáculos,
2 My soule longeth, yea, and fainteth for the courtes of the Lord: for mine heart and my flesh reioyce in the liuing God.
2 A minha alma suspira e desfalece pelos átrios do o meu coração e a minha carne exultam pelo Deus vivo!
3 Yea, the sparrowe hath found her an house, and the swallow a nest for her, where she may lay her yong: euen by thine altars, O Lord of hostes, my King and my God.
3 O pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha, ninho para si, onde acolha os seus filhotes, perto dos teus altares, Rei meu e Deus meu!
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thine house: they will euer praise thee. Selah.
4 Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; louvam-te perpetuamente.
5 Blessed is the man, whose strength is in thee, and in whose heart are thy wayes.
5 Bem-aventurado é aquele cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração se encontram os caminhos aplanados!
6 They going through the vale of Baca, make welles therein: the raine also couereth the pooles.
6 Quando passa pelo vale árido, faz dele um manancial; de bênçãos o cobre a primeira chuva.
7 They goe from strength to strength, till euery one appeare before God in Zion.
7 Vão indo de força em força; cada um deles aparece diante de Deus em Sião.
8 O Lord God of hostes, heare my prayer: hearken, O God of Iaakob. Selah.
8 Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos, escuta a minha oração; ouve-me, ó Deus de Jacó!
9 Beholde, O God, our shielde, and looke vpon the face of thine Anointed.
9 Olha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.
10 For a day in thy courtes is better then a thousand other where: I had rather be a doore keeper in the House of my God, then to dwell in the Tabernacles of wickednesse.
10 Pois um dia nos teus átrios vale mais que mil; prefiro estar à porta da casa do meu Deus a permanecer nas tendas da perversidade.
11 For the Lord God is the sunne and shielde vnto vs: the Lord will giue grace and glory, and no good thing will he withhold from them that walke vprightly.
11 Porque o Senhor Deus é sol e escudo; o não recusa nenhum bem aos que andam retamente.
12 O Lord of hostes, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
12 Ó Senhor dos Exércitos, feliz é aquele que em ti confia.
