¹ A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

¹ De Davi. Fazei-me justiça, Senhor, pois tenho andado retamente e, confiando em vós, não vacilei.

² Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

² Sondai-me, Senhor, e provai-me; escrutai meus rins e meu coração.

³ For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

³ Tenho sempre diante dos olhos vossa bondade, e caminho na vossa verdade.

⁴ I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

⁴ Entre os homens iníquos não me assento, nem me associo aos trapaceiros.

⁵ I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

⁵ Detesto a companhia dos malfeitores, com os ímpios não me junto.

⁶ I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

⁶ Na inocência lavo as minhas mãos, e conservo-me junto de vosso altar, Senhor,

⁷ That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

⁷ para publicamente anunciar vossos louvores, e proclamar todas as vossas maravilhas.

⁸ O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

⁸ Senhor, amo a habitação de vossa casa, e o tabernáculo onde reside a vossa glória.

⁹ Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men:

⁹ Não leveis a minha alma com a dos pecadores, nem me tireis a vida com a dos sanguinários,

¹⁰ In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

¹⁰ cujas mãos são criminosas, e cuja destra está cheia de subornos.

¹¹ But I will walke in mine innocencie: redeeme me therefore, and be mercifull vnto me.

¹¹ Eu, porém, procedo com retidão. Livrai-me e sede-me propício.

¹² My foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.
