1 Come, and let vs returne to the Lord: for he hath spoyled, and he will heale vs: he hath wounded vs, and he will binde vs vp.
1 Vinde, e voltemos ao SENHOR, porque ele despedaçou, e nos curará; feriu, e nos atará.
2 After two dayes will he reuiue vs, and in the third day he will raise vs vp, and we shall liue in his sight.
2 Após dois dias nos dará vida; ao terceiro dia nos ressuscitará, e viveremos em sua presença.
3 Then shall we haue knowledge, and indeuour our selues to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning, and he shall come vnto vs as the raine, and as the latter raine vnto the earth.
3 Então, conheceremos, se prosseguirmos em conhecer o SENHOR; a sua saída está preparada, como a manhã; e ele virá a nós como a chuva, como chuva serôdia e temporã que regam a terra.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I doe vnto thee? O Iudah, how shall I intreate thee? for your goodnesse is as a morning cloude, and as the morning dewe it goeth away.
4 Ó Efraim, que te farei? Ó Judá, que te farei? Porque a vossa benignidade é como a nuvem da manhã, e como o orvalho da madrugada, que cedo passa.
5 Therefore haue I cut downe by the Prophets: I haue slaine them by the wordes of my mouth, and thy iudgements were as the light that goeth forth.
5 Por isso, os abati pelos profetas; os matei pelas palavras da minha boca; e os teus juízos são como a luz que sai;
6 For I desired mercie, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more then burnt offrings.
6 porquanto eu desejei a misericórdia, e não sacrifício; e o conhecimento de Deus, mais do que ofertas queimadas.
7 But they like men haue transgressed the couenant: there haue they trespassed against me.
7 Mas eles, como os homens, transgrediram o pacto; eles se portaram aleivosamente contra mim.
8 Gilead is a citie of them that worke iniquitie, and is polluted with blood.
8 Gileade é a cidade dos que praticam iniquidade, e está poluída com sangue.
9 And as the eues waite for a man, so the companie of Priestes murder in the way by consent: for they worke mischiefe.
9 E como as tropas de salteadores esperam por um homem, assim é a companhia dos sacerdotes que matam no caminho num mesmo consenso; pois eles cometem lascívia.
10 I haue seene vileny in the house of Israel: there is ye whoredome of Ephraim: Israel is defiled.
10 Vi uma coisa horrível na casa de Israel; ali está a prostituição de Efraim; Israel está contaminado.
11 Yea, Iudah hath set a plant for thee, whiles I woulde returne ye captiuitie of my people.
11 Também para ti, ó Judá, foi determinada uma colheita, quando eu reverti o cativeiro do meu povo.
