1 Woe is me, for I am as the sommer gatherings, and as the grapes of the vintage: there is no cluster to eate: my soule desired the first ripe fruites.
1 Ai de mim! Pois sou como quem colhe frutos de verão, como a colheita de uvas; não há cacho de uvas para comer, e nem figos temporãos que a minha alma deseja.
2 The good man is perished out of the earth, and there is none righteous among men: they all lye in wayte for blood: euery man hunteth his brother with a net.
2 O bom homem pereceu da terra, e não há um que seja justo entre os homens; todos armam ciladas para sangue; cada um caça a seu irmão com uma rede.
3 To make good for the euil of their hands, the prince asked, and the iudge iudgeth for a reward: therefore the great man he speaketh out the corruption of his soule: so they wrapt it vp.
3 Eles fazem diligentemente o mal com ambas as mãos; assim exige o príncipe, e o juiz pede por uma recompensa; e o grande homem fala sobre o seu desejo malicioso, e assim eles tramam em conjunto.
4 The best of them is as a brier, and the most righteous of them is sharper then a thorne hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation commeth: then shalbe their confusion.
4 O melhor deles é como um espinho; o mais correto é mais afiado do que uma cerca de espinhos; é chegado o dia dos teus vigias e visitação; agora será a sua perplexidade.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, neither put ye confidence in a counseller: keepe the doores of thy mouth from her that lyeth in thy bosome.
5 Não confiais no amigo, nem colocais confiança no vosso guia; guarda as portas da tua boca, daquela que repousa no teu seio.
6 For the sonne reuileth the father: ye daughter riseth vp against her mother: the daughter in lawe against her mother in lawe, and a mans enemies are the men of his owne house.
6 Pois o filho desonra o pai, a filha se levanta contra sua mãe, e a nora contra sua sogra; os inimigos de um homem são os da sua própria casa.
7 Therefore I will looke vnto the Lord: I will waite for God my Sauiour: my God will heare me.
7 Por isso olharei para o SENHOR e esperarei pelo Deus da minha salvação; o meu Deus me ouvirá.
8 Reioyce not against me, O mine enemie: though I fall, I shall arise: when I shall sit in darkenesse, the Lord shalbe a light vnto me.
8 Não te alegres, Ó inimiga minha, a respeito de mim; quando eu cair, me levantarei; quando me sentar em trevas, o SENHOR será a minha luz.
9 I will beare the wrath of the Lord because I haue sinned against him, vntill he pleade my cause, and execute iudgement for me: then will he bring me foorth to the light, and I shall see his righteousnesse.
9 Sofrerei a indignação do SENHOR, porque pequei contra ele, até ele pleitear a minha causa, e executar o meu julgamento; ele me tirará para a luz, e eu verei a sua justiça.
10 Then she that is mine enemie, shall looke vpon it, and shame shall couer her, which said vnto me, Where is the Lord thy God? Mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be troden downe as the myre of the streetes.
10 Então ela, que é a minha inimiga, verá isso, e a vergonha a cobrirá, que me diz: Onde está o SENHOR teu Deus? Os meus olhos a contemplarão; agora ela será pisada como lama das ruas.
11 This is ye day, that thy walles shalbe built: this day shall driue farre away the decree.
11 No dia em que teus muros forem reedificados, naquele dia o decreto será afastado para longe,
12 In this day also they shall come vnto thee from Asshur, and from the strong cities, and from the strong holdes euen vnto the riuer, and from Sea to Sea, and from mountaine to mountaine.
12 naquele dia também ele virá a ti, desde a Assíria e das cidades fortificadas, e das fortalezas até ao rio, e do mar até ao mar, e do monte até o monte.
13 Notwithstanding, the lande shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, and for the fruites of their inuentions.
13 Mas a terra será desolada por causa daqueles que nela habitam, por causa do fruto das suas obras.
14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flocke of thine heritage (which dwell solitarie in the wood) as in the middes of Carmel: let them feede in Bashan and Gilead, as in olde time.
14 Apascenta o teu povo com a tua vara, o rebanho da tua herança, que habita a sós no bosque, no meio do Carmelo; apascentem-se em Basã e Gileade, como nos dias antigos.
15 According to the dayes of thy comming out of the lande of Egypt, will I shewe vnto him marueilous things.
15 Como nos dias da tua saída da terra do Egito, eu lhe mostrarei coisas maravilhosas.
16 The nations shall see, and be confounded for all their power: they shall lay their hande vpon their mouth: their eares shall be deafe.
16 As nações verão e se envergonharão por causa de todo o seu poder; elas colocarão sua mão sobre sua boca, e os seus ouvidos ficarão surdos;
17 They shall licke the dust like a serpent: they shall mooue out of their holes like wormes: they shalbe afraide of the Lord our God, and shall feare because of thee.
17 lamberão o pó como serpentes e sairão dos seus buracos como vermes da terra; com pavor virão ao SENHOR nosso Deus, e terão medo de ti.
18 Who is a God like vnto thee, that taketh away iniquitie, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He reteineth not his wrath for euer, because mercie pleaseth him.
18 Quem é Deus semelhante a ti, que perdoa a iniquidade, e passa por cima da transgressão do restante da sua herança? Ele não retém a sua ira para sempre, porque tem prazer na sua misericórdia.
19 He will turne againe, and haue compassion vpon vs: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all their sinnes into the bottome of the sea.
19 Tornará a ter compaixão de nós; sujeitará as nossas iniquidades, e tu lançarás todos os seus pecados nas profundezas do mar.
20 Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.
20 Darás a Jacó a verdade e a Abraão, a misericórdia que juraste a nossos pais, desde os dias antigos.
