1 After, the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying vnto them,
1 O S enhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say, These are the beastes which yee shall eate, among all the beasts that are on the earth.
2 “Deem as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. “De todos os animais que vivem em terra,
3 Whatsoeuer parteth the hoofe, and is clouen footed, and cheweth the cudde, among the beastes, that shall ye eate.
3 qualquer animal que tenha os cascos divididos em duas partes e que rumine.
4 But of them that chewe the cud, or deuide the hoofe onely, of them yee shall not eate: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not ye hoofe, he shall be vncleane vnto you.
4 Mas, se o animal não apresentar essas duas características, não pode ser consumido. O camelo rumina, mas não tem os cascos divididos, de modo que é impuro para vocês.
5 Likewise the conie, because he cheweth the cud and deuideth not the hoofe, he shall bee vncleane to you.
5 O coelho silvestre rumina, mas não tem cascos divididos, por isso é impuro.
6 Also the hare, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not the hoofe, he shalbe vncleane to you.
6 A lebre rumina, mas não tem cascos divididos, de modo que é impura.
7 And the swine, because he parteth ye hoofe and is clouen footed, but cheweth not the cud, he shalbe vncleane to you.
7 O porco, embora tenha os cascos divididos, não rumina e, portanto, também é impuro.
8 Of their flesh shall yee not eate, and their carkeise shall yee not touch: for they shall bee vncleane to you.
8 Não comerão a carne desses animais nem tocarão em seu cadáver. São cerimonialmente impuros para vocês.
9 These shall ye eate, of all that are in the waters: whatsoeuer hath finnes and skales in ye waters, in the seas, or in the riuers, them shall ye eate.
9 “De todos os animais que vivem nas águas, estes são os que vocês poderão consumir como alimento: qualquer animal aquático que tenha barbatanas e escamas, seja de água salgada ou de rios.
10 But all that haue not finnes nor skales in the seas, or in the riuers, of all that moueth in the waters, and of al liuing things that are in the waters, they shalbe an abomination vnto you.
10 Contudo, jamais comerão animais de mar ou de rio que não tenham barbatanas e escamas. São detestáveis para vocês. Isso se aplica tanto às criaturas pequenas que vivem em águas rasas como a todas as criaturas que vivem em águas profundas.
11 They, I say, shalbe an abomination to you: ye shall not eate of their flesh, but shall abhorre their carkeis.
11 Serão sempre detestáveis para vocês. Não comerão a carne delas nem tocarão em seu cadáver.
12 Whatsoeuer hath not fins nor skales in the waters, that shalbe abomination vnto you.
12 Qualquer animal aquático que não tem barbatanas e escamas é detestável para vocês.
13 These shall ye haue also in abomination among the foules, they shall not be eaten: for they are an abomination, the eagle, and the goshauke, and the osprey:
13 “Estes são os animais voadores que vocês considerarão detestáveis e não comerão: o abutre-fouveiro, o abutre-barbudo, o abutre-fusco,
14 Also the vultur, and the kite after his kinde,
14 o milhafre e todas as espécies de falcão,
15 And all rauens after their kinde:
15 todas as espécies de corvos,
16 The ostrich also, and the night crowe, and the seameaw, and the hauke after his kinde:
16 a coruja-de-chifres, a coruja-do-campo, a gaivota, todas as espécies de gaviões,
17 The litle owle also, and the connorant, and the great owle.
17 o mocho-galego, o cormorão, o corujão,
18 Also the redshanke and the pelicane, and the swanne:
18 a coruja-das-torres, a coruja-do-deserto, o abutre-do-egito,
19 The storke also, the heron after his kinde, and the lapwing, and the backe:
19 a cegonha, todas as espécies de garças, a poupa e o morcego.
20 Also euery foule that creepeth and goeth vpon all foure, such shalbe an abomination vnto you.
20 “Não comerão insetos alados que rastejam pelo chão, pois são detestáveis para vocês.
21 Yet these shall ye eate: of euery foule that creepeth, and goeth vpon all foure which haue their feete and legs all of one to leape withal vpon the earth,
21 Contudo, poderão comer insetos alados que andam pelo chão e têm pernas articuladas para saltar.
22 Of them ye shall eate these, the grashopper after his kinde, and the solean after his kinde, the hargol after his kinde, and the hagab after his kind.
22 Os insetos que vocês poderão comer incluem todas as espécies de gafanhotos, gafanhotos migradores, grilos e gafanhotos devoradores.
23 But al other foules that creepe and haue foure feete, they shalbe abomination vnto you.
23 Todos os outros insetos alados que andam pelo chão são detestáveis para vocês.
24 For by such ye shalbe polluted: whosoeuer toucheth their carkeis, shalbe vncleane vnto the euening.
24 “Por causa dessas criaturas vocês se tornarão cerimonialmente impuros. Quem tocar em seus cadáveres ficará contaminado até o entardecer.
25 Whosoeuer also beareth of their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil euen.
25 Quem carregar o cadáver delas deverá lavar as roupas e ficará contaminado até o entardecer.
26 Euery beast that hath clawes deuided, and is not clouen footed, nor cheweth the cud, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: euery one that toucheth them, shalbe vncleane.
26 “Todo animal com cascos divididos de forma desigual ou que não rumina é impuro para vocês. Quem tocar em algum desses animais ficará contaminado.
27 And whatsoeuer goeth vpon his pawes among all maner beastes that goeth on all foure, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: who so doth touch their carkeis shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
27 Dentre os quadrúpedes, aqueles que andam sobre a planta dos pés são impuros. Se alguém tocar no cadáver de algum desses animais, ficará impuro até o entardecer.
28 And he that beareth their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntill the euen: for such shalbe vncleane vnto you.
28 Se carregar o cadáver deles, deverá lavar as roupas e ficará contaminado até o entardecer. Esses animais são impuros para vocês.
29 Also these shalbe vncleane to you amog the things that creepe and moue vpon the earth, the weasell, and the mouse, and the frog, after his kinde:
29 “Dos animais pequenos que rastejam pelo chão, estes são impuros para vocês: a doninha, o rato, todas as espécies de lagartos grandes,
30 Also the rat, and the lizard, and the chameleon, and the stellio, and the molle.
30 a lagartixa, o lagarto pintado, o lagarto comum, o lagarto da areia e o camaleão.
31 These shall be vncleane to you among all that creepe: whosoeuer doeth touch them when they be dead, shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
31 Todos esses animais pequenos são impuros para vocês. Se alguém tocar no cadáver de um deles, ficará contaminado até o entardecer.
32 Also whatsoeuer any of the dead carkeises of them doth fall vpon, shalbe vncleane, whether it be vessel of wood, or rayment, or skinne, or sacke: whatsoeuer vessel it be that is occupied, it shalbe put in the water as vncleane vntil the euen, and so be purified.
32 Se um deles morrer e cair sobre algo, tornará impuro esse objeto, seja de madeira, tecido, couro ou pano de saco. Qualquer que seja seu uso, deverá ser colocado de molho em água e ficará impuro até o entardecer. Depois disso, estará cerimonialmente puro e poderá ser usado novamente.
33 But euery earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoeuer is within it shalbe vncleane, and ye shall breake it.
33 “Se um desses animais cair numa vasilha de barro, tudo que estiver dentro da vasilha ficará contaminado, e a vasilha deverá ser despedaçada.
34 Al meate also that shalbe eaten, if any such water come vpon it, shalbe vncleane: and all drinke that shalbe drunke in al such vessels shalbe vncleane.
34 Se a água dessa vasilha cair sobre algum alimento, ele ficará contaminado. Qualquer bebida que estiver dentro da vasilha ficará contaminada.
35 And euery thing that their carkeis fall vpon, shalbe vncleane: the fornais or the pot shalbe broken: for they are vncleane, and shalbe vncleane vnto you.
35 Qualquer objeto no qual o cadáver de um desses animais cair ficará contaminado. Se o objeto for um fogão ou um forno de barro, deverá ser destruído, pois está contaminado e deverá ser tratado como tal.
36 Yet the fountaines and welles where there is plentie of water shalbe cleane: but that which toucheth their carkeises shalbe vncleane.
36 “Se o cadáver de um desses animais cair numa fonte ou cisterna, a água continuará pura. Quem tocar no cadáver, porém, ficará cerimonialmente impuro.
37 And if there fal of their dead carkeis vpon any seede, which vseth to be sowe, it shalbe cleane.
37 Se o cadáver cair sobre sementes a serem plantadas no campo, ainda assim as sementes serão consideradas puras.
38 But if any water be powred vpon ye seede, and there fal of their dead carkeis thereon, it shall be vncleane vnto you.
38 Mas, se já tiverem sido regadas quando o cadáver cair sobre elas, as sementes serão impuras.
39 If also any beast, whereof ye may eate, die, he that toucheth the carkeis thereof shall be vncleane vntil the euen.
39 “Se morrer um animal que vocês têm permissão de comer e alguém tocar no cadáver, ficará impuro até o entardecer.
40 And he that eateth of the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes and be vncleane vntil the euen: he also that beareth the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil the euen.
40 Se alguém comer da carne do animal ou carregar o cadáver, deverá lavar as roupas e ficará impuro até o entardecer.
41 Euery creeping thing therefore that creepeth vpon the earth shalbe an abomination, and not be eaten.
41 “Todos os animais pequenos que rastejam pelo chão são detestáveis, e vocês jamais devem comê-los.
42 Whatsoeuer goeth vpon the breast, and whatsoeuer goeth vpon al foure, or that hath many feete among all creeping thinges that creepe vpon the earth, ye shall not eate of them, for they shalbe abomination.
42 Isso inclui todos os animais que se arrastam sobre o ventre, bem como os que têm quatro pernas e os que têm muitas patas. Todos esses animais que rastejam pelo chão são detestáveis, e vocês jamais devem comê-los.
43 Ye shall not pollute your selues with any thing that creepeth, neither make your selues vncleane with them, neither defile your selues thereby: ye shall not, I say, be defiled by them,
43 Não se contaminem com eles. Não se tornem cerimonialmente impuros por causa deles,
44 For I am the Lord your God: be sanctified therefore, and be holy, for I am holy, and defile not your selues with any creeping thing, that creepeth vpon the earth.
44 pois eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus. Consagrem-se e sejam santos, pois eu sou santo. Não se contaminem com nenhum desses animais pequenos que rastejam pelo chão.
45 For I am the Lord that brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to be your God, and that you should be holy, for I am holy.
45 Eu, o S enhor , sou aquele que os tirou da terra do Egito para ser o seu Deus. Por isso, sejam santos, pois eu sou santo.
46 This is the law of beasts, and of foules, and of euery liuing thing that moueth in the waters, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth:
46 “Essas são as instruções acerca dos animais que vivem em terra, dos animais voadores, das criaturas aquáticas e dos animais que rastejam pelo chão.
47 That there may be a difference betweene the vncleane and cleane, and betweene the beast that may be eaten, and the beast that ought not to be eaten.
47 Com essas instruções, vocês saberão o que é impuro e o que é puro, os animais que vocês podem comer e os que não podem”.
