1 After these thinges, Iesus went his way ouer the sea of Galile, which is Tiberias.
1 Depois disto partiu Jesus para o outro lado do mar da Galiléia, que é o de Tiberíades.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they sawe his miracles, which hee did on them that were diseased.
2 E grande multidão o seguia, porque via os sinais que operava sobre os enfermos.
3 Then Iesus went vp into a mountaine, and there he sate with his disciples.
3 E Jesus subiu ao monte, e assentou-se ali com os seus discípulos.
4 Now the Passeouer, a feast of the Iewes, was neere.
4 E a páscoa, a festa dos judeus, estava próxima.
5 Then Iesus lift vp his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude came vnto him, hee sayde vnto Philippe, Whence shall we buy breade, that these might eate?
5 Então Jesus, levantando os olhos, e vendo que uma grande multidão vinha ter com ele, disse a Filipe: Onde compraremos pão, para estes comerem?
6 (And this he sayde to prooue him: for hee himselfe knewe what he would doe.)
6 Mas dizia isto para o experimentar; porque ele bem sabia o que havia de fazer.
7 Philippe answered him, Two hundreth penie worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that euery one of them may take a litle.
7 Filipe respondeu-lhe: Duzentos dinheiros de pão não lhes bastarão, para que cada um deles tome um pouco.
8 Then saide vnto him one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother,
8 E um dos seus discípulos, André, irmão de Simão Pedro, disse-lhe:
9 There is a little boy heere, which hath fiue barlie loaues, and two fishes: but what are they among so many?
9 Está aqui um rapaz que tem cinco pães de cevada e dois peixinhos; mas que é isto para tantos?
10 And Iesus saide, Make ye people sit downe. (Nowe there was much grasse in that place.) Then the men sate downe in nomber, about fiue thousande.
10 E disse Jesus: Mandai assentar os homens. E havia muita relva naquele lugar. Assentaram-se, pois, os homens em número de quase cinco mil.
11 And Iesus tooke the bread, and gaue thanks, and gaue to the disciples, and the disciples, to them that were set downe: and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
11 E Jesus tomou os pães e, havendo dado graças, repartiu-os pelos discípulos, e os discípulos pelos que estavam assentados; e igualmente também dos peixes, quanto eles queriam.
12 And when they were satisfied, he said vnto his disciples, Gather vp the broken meat which remaineth, that nothing be lost.
12 E, quando estavam saciados, disse aos seus discípulos: Recolhei os pedaços que sobejaram, para que nada se perca.
13 Then they gathered it together, and filled twelue baskets with the broken meat of the fiue barly loaues, which remained vnto them that had eaten.
13 Recolheram-nos, pois, e encheram doze alcofas de pedaços dos cinco pães de cevada, que sobejaram aos que haviam comido.
14 Then the men, when they had seene the miracle that Iesus did, saide, This is of a trueth that Prophet that should come into the world.
14 Vendo, pois, aqueles homens o milagre que Jesus tinha feito, diziam: Este é verdadeiramente o profeta que devia vir ao mundo.
15 When Iesus therfore perceiued that they would come, and take him to make him a King, hee departed againe into a mountaine himselfe alone.
15 Sabendo, pois, Jesus que haviam de vir arrebatá-lo, para o fazerem rei, tornou a retirar-se, ele só, para o monte.
16 When euen was nowe come, his disciples went downe vnto the sea,
16 E, quando veio a tarde, os seus discípulos desceram para o mar.
17 And entred into a shippe, and went ouer the sea, towardes Capernaum: and nowe it was darke, and Iesus was not come to them.
17 E, entrando no barco, atravessaram o mar em direção a Cafarnaum; e era já escuro, e ainda Jesus não tinha chegado ao pé deles.
18 And the Sea arose with a great winde that blewe.
18 E o mar se levantou, porque um grande vento assoprava.
19 And when they had rowed about fiue and twentie, or thirtie furlongs, they sawe Iesus walking on the sea, and drawing neere vnto the ship: so they were afraide.
19 E, tendo navegado uns vinte e cinco ou trinta estádios, viram a Jesus, andando sobre o mar e aproximando-se do barco; e temeram.
20 But he said vnto them, It is I: be not afraid.
20 Mas ele lhes disse: Sou eu, não temais.
21 Then willingly they receiued him into the ship, and the ship was by and by at the lande, whither they went.
21 Então eles de boa mente o receberam no barco; e logo o barco chegou à terra para onde iam.
22 The day following, the people which stoode on the other side of the sea, saw that there was none other ship there, saue that one, whereinto his disciples were entred, and that Iesus went not with his disciples in the ship, but that his disciples were gone alone,
22 No dia seguinte, a multidão que estava do outro lado do mar, vendo que não havia ali mais do que um barquinho, a não ser aquele no qual os discípulos haviam entrado, e que Jesus não entrara com os seus discípulos naquele barquinho, mas que os seus discípulos tinham ido sozinhos
23 And that there came other ships from Tiberias neere vnto the place where they ate the bread, after the Lord had giuen thankes.
23 (Contudo, outros barquinhos tinham chegado de Tiberíades, perto do lugar onde comeram o pão, havendo o Senhor dado graças).
24 Nowe when the people sawe that Iesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also tooke shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Iesus.
24 Vendo, pois, a multidão que Jesus não estava ali nem os seus discípulos, entraram eles também nos barcos, e foram a Cafarnaum, em busca de Jesus.
25 And when they had founde him on the other side of the sea, they sayde vnto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
25 E, achando-o no outro lado do mar, disseram-lhe: Rabi, quando chegaste aqui?
26 Iesus answered them; and sayde, Verely, verely I say vnto you, ye seeke me not because ye sawe the miracles, but because yee ate of ye loaues, and were filled.
26 Jesus respondeu-lhes e disse: Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que me buscais, não pelos sinais que vistes, mas porque comestes do pão e vos saciastes.
27 Labour not for ye meate which perisheth, but for the meate that endureth vnto euerlasting life, which the Sonne of man shall giue vnto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
27 Trabalhai, não pela comida que perece, mas pela comida que permanece para a vida eterna, a qual o Filho do homem vos dará; porque a este o Pai, Deus, o selou.
28 Then sayde they vnto him, What shall we doe, that we might worke the workes of God?
28 Disseram-lhe, pois: Que faremos para executarmos as obras de Deus?
29 Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, This is the woorke of God, that yee beleeue in him, whome he hath sent.
29 Jesus respondeu, e disse-lhes: A obra de Deus é esta: Que creiais naquele que ele enviou.
30 They sayde therefore vnto him, What signe shewest thou then, that we may see it, and beleeue thee? what doest thou woorke?
30 Disseram-lhe, pois: Que sinal, pois, fazes tu, para que o vejamos, e creiamos em ti? Que operas tu?
31 Our fathers did eate Manna in the desart, as it is written, Hee gaue them bread from heauen to eate.
31 Nossos pais comeram o maná no deserto, como está escrito: Deu-lhes a comer o pão do céu.
32 Then Iesus said vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Moses gaue you not that bread from heauen, but my Father giueth you that true bread from heauen.
32 Disse-lhes, pois, Jesus: Na verdade, na verdade vos digo: Moisés não vos deu o pão do céu; mas meu Pai vos dá o verdadeiro pão do céu.
33 For the breade of God is hee which commeth downe from heauen, and giueth life vnto the world.
33 Porque o pão de Deus é aquele que desce do céu e dá vida ao mundo.
34 Then they said vnto him, Lord, euermore giue vs this bread.
34 Disseram-lhe, pois: Senhor, dá-nos sempre desse pão.
35 And Iesus saide vnto them, I am that bread of life: he that commeth to me, shall not hunger, and he that beleeueth in me, shall neuer thirst.
35 E Jesus lhes disse: Eu sou o pão da vida; aquele que vem a mim não terá fome, e quem crê em mim nunca terá sede.
36 But I said vnto you, that ye also haue seene me, and beleeue not.
36 Mas já vos disse que também vós me vistes, e contudo não credes.
37 All that the Father giueth me, shall come to mee: and him that commeth to me, I cast not away.
37 Todo o que o Pai me dá virá a mim; e o que vem a mim de maneira nenhuma o lançarei fora.
38 For I came downe from heauen, not to do mine owne wil, but his wil which hath sent me.
38 Porque eu desci do céu, não para fazer a minha vontade, mas a vontade daquele que me enviou.
39 And this is the Fathers will which hath sent mee, that of all which hee hath giuen mee, I should lose nothing, but shoulde raise it vp againe at the last day.
39 E a vontade do Pai que me enviou é esta: Que nenhum de todos aqueles que me deu se perca, mas que o ressuscite no último dia.
40 And this is the will of him that sent mee, that euery man which seeth the Sonne, and beleeueth in him, should haue euerlasting life: and I will raise him vp at the last day.
40 Porquanto a vontade daquele que me enviou é esta: Que todo aquele que vê o Filho, e crê nele, tenha a vida eterna; e eu o ressuscitarei no último dia.
41 The Iewes then murmured at him because hee sayde, I am that bread, which is come downe from heauen.
41 Murmuravam, pois, dele os judeus, porque dissera: Eu sou o pão que desceu do céu.
42 And they said, Is not this Iesus that sonne of Ioseph, whose father and mother wee knowe? howe then sayth he, I came downe from heauen?
42 E diziam: Não é este Jesus, o filho de José, cujo pai e mãe nós conhecemos? Como, pois, diz ele: Desci do céu?
43 Iesus then answered, and saide vnto them, Murmure not among your selues.
43 Respondeu, pois, Jesus, e disse-lhes: Não murmureis entre vós.
44 No man can come to mee, except the Father, which hath sent mee, drawe him: and I will raise him vp at the last day.
44 Ninguém pode vir a mim, se o Pai que me enviou o não trouxer; e eu o ressuscitarei no último dia.
45 It is written in the Prophetes, And they shalbe al taught of God. Euery man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, commeth vnto me:
45 Está escrito nos profetas: E serão todos ensinados por Deus. Portanto, todo aquele que do Pai ouviu e aprendeu vem a mim.
46 Not that any man hath seene the Father, saue hee which is of God, hee hath seene the Father.
46 Não que alguém visse ao Pai, a não ser aquele que é de Deus; este tem visto ao Pai.
47 Verely, verely I say vnto you, hee that beleeueth in me, hath euerlasting life.
47 Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que aquele que crê em mim tem a vida eterna.
48 I am that bread of life.
48 Eu sou o pão da vida.
49 Your fathers did eate Manna in the wildernesse, and are dead.
49 Vossos pais comeram o maná no deserto, e morreram.
50 This is that breade, which commeth downe from heauen, that hee which eateth of it, shoulde not die.
50 Este é o pão que desce do céu, para que o que dele comer não morra.
51 I am that liuing breade, which came downe from heauen: if any man eate of this breade, hee shall liue for euer: and the bread that I will giue, is my flesh, which I will giue for the life of the world.
51 Eu sou o pão vivo que desceu do céu; se alguém comer deste pão, viverá para sempre; e o pão que eu der é a minha carne, que eu darei pela vida do mundo.
52 Then the Iewes stroue among themselues, saying, Howe can this man giue vs his flesh to eate?
52 Disputavam, pois, os judeus entre si, dizendo: Como nos pode dar este a sua carne a comer?
53 Then Iesus saide vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Except yee eate the flesh of the Sonne of man, and drinke his blood, yee haue no life in you.
53 Jesus, pois, lhes disse: Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que, se não comerdes a carne do Filho do homem, e não beberdes o seu sangue, não tereis vida em vós mesmos.
54 Whosoeuer eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternall life, and I will raise him vp at the last day.
54 Quem come a minha carne e bebe o meu sangue tem a vida eterna, e eu o ressuscitarei no último dia.
55 For my flesh is meat in deede, and my blood is drinke in deede.
55 Porque a minha carne verdadeiramente é comida, e o meu sangue verdadeiramente é bebida.
56 Hee that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
56 Quem come a minha carne e bebe o meu sangue permanece em mim e eu nele.
57 As that liuing Father hath sent me, so liue I by the Father, and he that eateth me, euen he shall liue by me.
57 Assim como o Pai, que vive, me enviou, e eu vivo pelo Pai, assim, quem de mim se alimenta, também viverá por mim.
58 This is that bread which came downe from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna, and are deade. Hee that eateth of this bread, shall liue for euer.
58 Este é o pão que desceu do céu; não é o caso de vossos pais, que comeram o maná e morreram; quem comer este pão viverá para sempre.
59 These things spake he in the Synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
59 Ele disse estas coisas na sinagoga, ensinando em Cafarnaum.
60 Many therefore of his disciples (when they heard this) sayde, This is an hard saying: who can heare it?
60 Muitos, pois, dos seus discípulos, ouvindo isto, disseram: Duro é este discurso; quem o pode ouvir?
61 But Iesus knowing in himselfe, that his disciples murmured at this, saide vnto them, Doeth this offend you?
61 Sabendo, pois, Jesus em si mesmo que os seus discípulos murmuravam disto, disse-lhes: Isto escandaliza-vos?
62 What then if yee should see that Sonne of man ascend vp where he was before?
62 Que seria, pois, se vísseis subir o Filho do homem para onde primeiro estava?
63 It is the spirite that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing: the woordes that I speake vnto you, are spirite and life.
63 O espírito é o que vivifica, a carne para nada aproveita; as palavras que eu vos digo são espírito e vida.
64 But there are some of you that beleeue not: for Iesus knewe from the beginning, which they were that beleeued not, and who shoulde betray him.
64 Mas há alguns de vós que não crêem. Porque bem sabia Jesus, desde o princípio, quem eram os que não criam, e quem era o que o havia de entregar.
65 And hee saide, Therefore saide I vnto you, that no man can come vnto mee, except it be giuen vnto him of my Father.
65 E dizia: Por isso eu vos disse que ninguém pode vir a mim, se por meu Pai não lhe for concedido.
66 From that time, many of his disciples went backe, and walked no more with him.
66 Desde então muitos dos seus discípulos tornaram para trás, e já não andavam com ele.
67 Then sayde Iesus to the twelue, Will yee also goe away?
67 Então disse Jesus aos doze: Quereis vós também retirar-vos?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Master, to whome shall we goe? thou hast the wordes of eternall life:
68 Respondeu-lhe, pois, Simão Pedro: Senhor, para quem iremos nós? Tu tens as palavras da vida eterna.
69 And we beleeue and knowe that thou art that Christ that Sonne of the liuing God.
69 E nós temos crido e conhecido que tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivente.
70 Iesus answered them, Haue not I chosen you twelue, and one of you is a deuill?
70 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Não vos escolhi a vós os doze? e um de vós é um diabo.
71 Now he spake it of Iudas Iscariot the sonne of Simon: for hee it was that shoulde betraie him, though he was one of the twelue.
71 E isto dizia ele de Judas Iscariotes, filho de Simão; porque este o havia de entregar, sendo um dos doze.
