1 I have bene sought of them that asked not: I was found of them that sought me not: I sayd, Beholde me, beholde me, vnto a nation that called not vpon my Name.
1 "Fiz-me acessível aos que não perguntavam por mim; fui achado pelos que não me procuravam. A uma nação que não clamava pelo meu nome eu disse: Eis-me aqui, eis-me aqui.
2 I haue spred out mine handes all the day vnto a rebellious people, which walked in a way that was not good, euen after their owne imaginations:
2 O tempo todo estendi as mãos a um povo obstinado, que anda por um caminho que não é bom, seguindo as suas inclinações;
3 A people that prouoked me euer vnto my face: that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense vpon brickes.
3 esse povo que sem cessar me provoca na minha frente, oferecendo sacrifícios em jardins e queimando incenso em altares de tijolos;
4 Which remaine among the graues, and lodge in the desarts, which eate swines flesh, and the broth of things polluted are in their vessels.
4 povo que vive nos túmulos e à noite se oculta nas covas, que come carne de porco, e em suas panelas tem sopa de carne impura;
5 Which say, Stand apart, come not neere to me: for I am holier then thou: these are a smoke in my wrath and a fire that burneth all the day.
5 esse povo diz: ‘Afasta-te! Não te aproximes de mim, pois eu sou santo! ’ Essa gente é fumaça no meu nariz! É fogo que queima o tempo todo!
6 Beholde, it is written before me: I wil not keepe silence, but will render it and recompense it into their bosome.
6 "Vejam, porém! Escrito está diante de mim: Não ficarei calado, mas darei plena retribuição; eu lhes darei total retribuição,
7 Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers shalbe together (sayth the Lord) which haue burnt incense vpon the mountaines, and blasphemed me vpon the hilles: therefore wil I measure their olde worke into their bosome.
7 tanto por seus pecados como pelos pecados dos seus antepassados", diz o Senhor. "Uma vez que eles queimaram incenso nos montes e me desafiaram nas colinas, eu os farei pagar pelos seus feitos anteriores. "
8 Thus sayth the Lord, As the wine is found in the cluster, and one sayth, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it, so will I doe for my seruants sakes, that I may not destroy them whole.
8 Assim diz o Senhor: "Quando ainda se acha suco num cacho de uvas, os homens dizem: ‘Não o destruam, pois ainda há algo bom’; assim farei em favor dos meus servos; não os destruirei totalmente.
9 But I will bring a seede out of Iaakob, and out of Iudah, that shall inherit my mountaine: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my seruants shall dwell there.
9 Farei surgir descendentes de Jacó, e de Judá quem recebe por herança as minhas montanhas. Os meus escolhidos as herdarão, e ali viverão os meus servos.
10 And Sharon shalbe a sheepefolde, and the valley of Achor shalbe a resting place for the cattell of my people, that haue sought me.
10 Para o meu povo que me buscou, Sarom será um pasto para os rebanhos, e o vale de Acor um lugar de descanso para o gado.
11 But ye are they that haue forsaken the Lord and forgotten mine holy Mountaine, and haue prepared a table for the multitude, and furnish the drinke offerings vnto the number.
11 "Mas vocês, que abandonam o Senhor e esquecem o meu santo monte, que põem a mesa para a deusa Sorte e enchem taças de vinho para o deus Destino,
12 Therefore wil I number you to the sword, and all you shall bowe downe to the slaughter, because I called, and ye did not answere: I spake, and ye heard not, but did euil in my sight, and did chuse that thing which I would not.
12 eu os destinarei à espada, e todos vocês se dobrarão para a degola. Pois eu os chamei, e vocês nem responderam, falei, e não me deram ouvidos. Vocês fizeram o mal diante de mim e escolheram o que me desagrada".
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, my seruants shall eate, and ye shalbe hungrie: beholde, my seruants shall drinke, and ye shall be thirstie: beholde, my seruants shall reioyce, and ye shalbe ashamed.
13 Portanto, assim diz o Soberano Senhor: "Os meus servos comerão, e vocês passarão fome; os meus servos beberão, e vocês passarão sede; os meus servos se regozijarão, e vocês passarão vergonha;
14 Beholde, my seruants shall sing for ioye of heart, and ye shall crye for sorow of heart, and shall howle for vexation of minde.
14 os meus servos cantarão com alegria no coração, e vocês se lamentarão com angústia no coração e uivarão pelo quebrantamento de espírito.
15 And ye shall leaue your name as a curse vnto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay you and call his seruants by another name.
15 Vocês deixarão seu nome como uma maldição para os meus escolhidos; o Soberano Senhor dará cabo de vocês, mas aos seus servos dará outro nome.
16 He that shall blesse in the earth, shall blesse himselfe in the true God, and he that sweareth in the earth, shall sweare by the true God: for the former troubles are forgotten, and shall surely hide themselues from mine eyes.
16 Quem pedir bênção para si na terra, que o faça pelo Deus da verdade; quem fizer juramento na terra, que o faça pelo Deus da verdade. Porquanto as aflições passadas serão esquecidas e estarão ocultas aos meus olhos.
17 For lo, I will create newe heauens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembred nor come into minde.
17 "Pois vejam! Criarei novos céus e nova terra, e as coisas passadas não serão lembradas. Jamais virão à mente!
18 But be you glad and reioyce for euer in the things that I shall create: for beholde, I will create Ierusalem, as a reioycing and her people as a ioye,
18 Alegrem-se, porém, e regozijem-se para sempre no que vou criar, porque vou criar Jerusalém para regozijo, e seu povo para alegria.
19 And I wil reioyce in Ierusalem, and ioye in my people, and the voyce of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voyce of crying.
19 Por Jerusalém me regozijarei e em meu povo terei prazer; nunca mais se ouvirão nela voz de pranto e choro de tristeza.
20 There shall be no more there a childe of yeeres, nor an olde man that hath not filled his dayes: for he that shall be an hundreth yeeres old, shall dye as a yong man: but the sinner being an hundreth yeeres olde shall be accursed.
20 "Nunca mais haverá nela uma criança que viva poucos dias, e um idoso que não complete os seus anos de idade; quem morrer aos cem anos ainda será jovem, e quem não chegar aos cem será maldito.
21 And they shall build houses and inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, and eate the fruite of them.
21 Construirão casas e nelas habitarão; plantarão vinhas e comerão do seu fruto.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabite: they shall not plant, and another eate: for as the dayes of the tree are the dayes of my people, and mine elect shall inioye in olde age the worke of their handes.
22 Já não construirão casas para outros ocuparem, nem plantarão para outros comerem. Pois o meu povo terá vida longa como as árvores; os meus escolhidos esbanjarão o fruto do seu trabalho.
23 They shall not labour in vaine, nor bring forth in feare: for they are the seede of the blessed of the Lord, and their buds with them.
23 Não labutarão inutilmente, nem gerarão filhos para a infelicidade; pois serão um povo abençoado pelo Senhor, eles e os seus descendentes.
24 Yea, before they call, I will answere, and whiles they speake, I will heare.
24 Antes de clamarem, eu responderei; ainda não estarão falando, e eu os ouvirei.
25 The wolfe and the lambe shall feede together, and the lyon shall eate strawe like the bullocke: and to the serpent dust shall be his meate. They shall no more hurt nor destroy in all mine holy Mountaine, saith the Lord.
25 O lobo e o cordeiro comerão juntos, e o leão comerá feno, como o boi, mas o pó será a comida da serpente. Não farão nem mal nem destruição em todo o meu santo monte", diz o Senhor.
