1 About that time was Hezekiah sicke vnto the death, and the Prophet Isaiah sonne of Amoz came vnto him, and sayd vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt dye, and not liue.
1 Naqueles dias, esteve Ezequias enfermo, à beira da morte. E, Isaías, o profeta, o filho de Amós, veio até ele e lhe disse: Assim diz o SENHOR: Coloca tua casa em ordem, pois tu morrerás e não viverás.
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord,
2 Então, Ezequias virou sua face em direção ao muro e orou ao SENHOR.
3 And saide, I beseeche thee, Lord, remember nowe howe I haue walked before thee in trueth, and with a perfite heart, and haue done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore.
3 E disse: Lembres agora, Ó SENHOR, eu te suplico, como eu tenho andado perante a ti em verdade, e com um perfeito coração, e tenho feito o que é bom aos teus olhos. E Ezequias chorou profundamente.
4 Then came the worde of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,
4 Então, veio a palavra do SENHOR a Isaías, dizendo:
5 Goe, and say vnto Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord God of Dauid thy father, I haue heard thy prayer, and seene thy teares: behold, I will adde vnto thy dayes fifteene yeeres.
5 Vai, e dize a Ezequias: Portanto, diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Davi teu pai, eu tenho ouvido a tua oração, e tenho visto tuas lágrimas. Eis que Eu acrescentarei aos teus dias quinze anos.
6 And I will deliuer thee out of the hand of the King of Asshur, and this citie: for I will defende this citie.
6 E eu te livrarei e a esta cidade da mão do rei da Assíria, e eu defenderei esta cidade.
7 And this signe shalt thou haue of ye Lord, that ye Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken,
7 E isto será um sinal para ti, proveniente do SENHOR, que o SENHOR fará esta coisa que ele tem falado.
8 Beholde, I will bring againe the shadowe of the degrees (whereby it is gone downe in the diall of Ahaz by the sunne) ten degrees backeward: so the sunne returned by tenne degrees, by the which degrees it was gone downe.
8 Eis que Eu trarei novamente a sombra dos graus, os quais estão declinados no relógio de sol de Acaz, dez graus para trás. Então, o sol retrocedeu dez graus, os quais ele havia declinado.
9 The writing of Hezekiah King of Iudah, when he had bene sicke, and was recouered of his sickenesse.
9 O escrito de Ezequias, rei de Judá, quando tinha estado enfermo e foi recuperado de sua enfermidade.
10 I saide in the cutting off of my dayes, I shall goe to the gates of the graue: I am depriued of the residue of my yeeres.
10 Eu disse na interrupção dos meus dias: Eu irei para os portões da sepultura. Eu estou privado do restante dos meus anos.
11 I said, I shall not see the Lord, euen the Lord in the land of the liuing: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.
11 Eu disse: Eu não verei o SENHOR, o SENHOR na terra dos viventes. Eu não mais contemplarei o homem com os habitantes do mundo.
12 Mine habitation is departed, and is remoued from me, like a shepheards tent: I haue cut off like a weauer my life: he will cut me off from the height: from day to night, thou wilt make an ende of me.
12 Meu tempo de vida se vai, e é tirado de mim como uma tenda de pastor. Eu tenho interrompido, como um tecelão, minha vida. Ele me interromperá com uma enfermidade que me definha. Do dia até a noite darás um fim em mim.
13 I rekoned to the morning: but he brake all my bones, like a lion: from day to night wilt thou make an ende of me.
13 Eu considerei até a manhã que, como um leão, então ele quebrará todos os meus ossos. Do dia até a noite darás um fim em mim.
14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourne as a doue: mine eies were lift vp on high: O Lord, it hath oppressed me, comfort me.
14 Como um grou ou uma andorinha, deste modo eu tagarelava. Eu gemi como uma pomba. Meus olhos falham com relação a olhar para o alto. Ó SENHOR, eu estou oprimido. Sê responsável por mim.
15 What shall I say? for he hath said it to me, and he hath done it: I shall walke weakely all my yeeres in the bitternesse of my soule.
15 O que direi eu? Ele tem tanto falado a mim e ele mesmo tem feito isto. Eu passarei brandamente todos os meus anos na amargura da minha alma.
16 O Lord, to them that ouerliue them, and to all that are in them, the life of my spirite shalbe knowen, that thou causedst me to sleepe and hast giuen life to me.
16 Ó Senhor, por meio destas coisas homens vivem, e em todas estas coisas está a vida do meu espírito. Então, tu irás me restaurar e me farás viver.
17 Beholde, for felicitie I had bitter griefe, but it was thy pleasure to deliuer my soule from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sinnes behinde thy backe.
17 Eis que para a paz eu tive grande amargura. Tu, porém, tens, em amor a minha alma, livrando-a da cova da corrupção, porquanto tu tens lançado todos os meus pecados para trás das tuas costas.
18 For the graue cannot confesse thee: death cannot praise thee: they that goe downe into the pit, cannot hope for thy trueth.
18 Porque a sepultura não pode te louvar. A morte não pode celebrar a ti. Aqueles que descem à cova não podem esperar por tua verdade.
19 But the liuing, the liuing, he shall confesse thee, as I doe this day: the father to the children shall declare thy trueth.
19 O vivente, o vivente, ele te louvará, como eu faço neste dia. O pai fará conhecida à criança tua verdade.
20 The Lord was ready to saue me: therefore we will sing my song, all the dayes of our life in the House of the Lord.
20 O SENHOR estava disposto a salvar-me. Portanto, nós cantaremos minhas canções para instrumentos de cordas todos os dias de nossa vida, dentro da casa do SENHOR.
21 Then said Isaiah, Take a lumpe of drye figs and lay it vpon the boyle, and he shall recouer.
21 Porquanto, Isaías tinha dito: Deixe-os pegar uma massa de figos e estendê-la por atadura sobre o furúnculo e ele se recuperará.
22 Also Hezekiah had said, What is ye signe, that I shall goe vp into the House of the Lord?
22 Ezequias também tinha dito: Qual é o sinal de que eu irei subir à casa do SENHOR?
