1 Wo to the rebellious children, sayth the Lord, that take counsell, but not of me, and couer with a couering, but not by my spirit, that they may lay sinne vpon sinne:
1 Ai dos filhos rebeldes, diz o SENHOR, que recebem conselho, mas não de mim; e que se cobrem com uma capa, porém não do meu Espírito, para que possam adicionar pecado a pecado.
2 Which walke forth to goe downe into Egypt (and haue not asked at my mouth) to strengthen them selues with the strength of Pharaoh, and trust in the shadowe of Egypt.
2 Que caminham para ir ao sul, em direção ao Egito, e não têm buscado uma resposta de minha boca, para se fortalecerem na força de Faraó e para confiar na sombra do Egito!
3 But the strength of Pharaoh shalbe your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
3 Portanto, a força de Faraó será a sua vergonha e a confiança na sombra do Egito sua confusão.
4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his Ambassadours came vnto Hanes.
4 Porque seus príncipes estavam em Zoã e seus embaixadores chegaram a Hanes.
5 They shalbe all ashamed of the people that cannot profite them, nor helpe nor doe them good, but shalbe a shame and also a reproche.
5 Eles estavam todos envergonhados de um povo que não podia beneficiá-los, nem ser um socorro ou proveitoso, porém uma vergonha e também uma desonra.
6 The burden of the beasts of the South, in a land of trouble and anguish, from whence shall come the yong and olde lyon, the viper and fierie flying serpent against them that shall beare their riches vpon the shoulders of the coltes, and their treasures vpon the bounches of the camels, to a people that cannot profite.
6 A aflição dos animais do sul: para o interior de uma terra de dificuldade e angústia, de onde vem o leão velho e o jovem, a víbora e a flamejante serpente voadora. Eles carregarão suas riquezas sobre dorsos de jumentos novos, e seus tesouros sobre grupos de camelos, para um povo que não irá beneficiá-los.
7 For the Egyptians are vanitie, and they shall helpe in vaine. Therefore haue I cried vnto her, Their strength is to sit still.
7 Porque os egípcios ajudarão em vão e sem obter resultados. Portanto, tenho eu clamado a este respeito: A força deles está sentada, imóvel.
8 Now go, and write it before them in a table, and note it in a booke that it may be for the last day for euer and euer:
8 Agora vá, escreve isto perante eles em uma tábua e registra isto em um livro, para que fique para o tempo vindouro, para sempre e sempre;
9 That it is a rebellious people, lying children, and children that would not heare the law of the Lord.
9 Que este é um povo rebelde, filhos mentirosos, filhos que não ouvirão a lei do SENHOR.
10 Which say vnto the Seers, See not: and to the Prophets, Prophecie not vnto vs right things: but speake flattering things vnto vs: prophecie errours.
10 Os quais dizem aos videntes: Não vejam. E aos profetas: Não profetizem em nossa direção coisas corretas; falem para nós coisas suaves, profetizem enganos.
11 Depart out of the way: go aside out of the path: cause the holy one of Israel to cease from vs.
11 Saiais vós para fora do caminho, desviai-vos para fora da vereda, fazei o Santo de Israel parar de estar diante de nós.
12 Therefoe thus saith the holy one of Israel, Because you haue cast off this worde, and trust in violence, and wickednes, and stay thereupon,
12 Por conseguinte, assim diz o Santo de Israel: Pelo fato de vós terdes desprezado esta palavra e confiado na opressão e perversidade, e permanecerdes nisto.
13 Therefore this iniquitie shalbe vnto you as a breach that falleth, or a swelling in an hie wall, whose breaking commeth suddenly in a moment.
13 Portanto, esta iniquidade será para vós como uma rachadura, prestes a cair, estufando-se para fora em um alto muro, cujo desabamento ocorre de repente, em um instante.
14 And the breaking thereof is like the breaking of a potters pot, which is broken without pitie, and in the breaking thereof is not found a sheard to take fire out of the hearth, or to take water out of the pit.
14 E ele quebrá-lo-á como o quebrar do vaso do oleiro, que é feito em pedaços; ele não poupará: de tal forma que não será encontrado no meio do que foi despedaçado um caco capaz de ser usado para pegar brasa de uma lareira, ou para retirar com isto água do poço.
15 For thus sayd the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel, In rest and quietnes shall ye be saued: in quietnes and in confidence shall be your strength, but ye would not.
15 Porque assim diz o Senhor DEUS, o Santo de Israel: Em retornar e descansar vós sereis salvos. Na quietude e na confiança estarão vossa força. E vós não quisestes.
16 For ye haue sayd, No, but we wil flee away vpon horses. Therefore shall ye flee. We will ride vpon the swiftest. Therefore shall your persecuters be swifter.
16 Porém, vós dissestes: Não; pois nós fugiremos sobre cavalos; portanto, vós fugireis, e nós cavalgaremos sobre o cavalo veloz. Portanto, aqueles que vos perseguem serão ligeiros.
17 A thousand as one shall flee at the rebuke of one: at the rebuke of fiue shall ye flee, till ye be left as a ship maste vpon the top of a mountaine, and as a beaken vpon an hill.
17 Mil fugirão quando da repreensão feita por um, à repreensão de cinco vós fugireis. Até que vós sejais deixados como um farol sobre o cume de um monte e como uma bandeira sobre uma colina.
18 Yet therefore will the Lord waite, that he may haue mercy vpon you, and therefore wil he be exalted, that hee may haue compassion vpon you: for the Lord is the God of iudgement. Blessed are all they that waite for him.
18 E, portanto, o SENHOR esperará, para que Ele seja misericordioso consigo, e, portanto, Ele será exaltado, que Ele possa ter misericórdia de vós, porque o SENHOR é um Deus de justiça. Abençoados são todos os que esperam por Ele.
19 Surely a people shall dwell in Zion, and in Ierusalem: thou shalt weepe no more: he wil certainly haue mercy vpon thee at the voyce of thy crye: when he heareth thee, he wil answere thee.
19 Porque o povo habitará dentro de Sião, em Jerusalém. Tu não chorarás mais. Ele será muito benigno para contigo à voz de teu choro. Quando Ele vier a ouvi-lo, Ele te responderá.
20 And when the Lord hath giuen you the bread of aduersitie, and the water of affliction, thy raine shalbe no more kept backe, but thine eyes shall see thy raine.
20 E, embora o Senhor vos dê o pão da adversidade e a água da aflição, teus professores, contudo, não serão removidos a um canto nunca mais, porém teus olhos verão os teus mestres.
21 And thine eares shall heare a worde behind thee, saying, This is the way, walke ye in it, when thou turnest to the right hand, and when thou turnest to the left.
21 E teus ouvidos escutarão uma palavra por trás de ti, dizendo: Este é o caminho, andai vós nele, quando vos virardes à direita e quando vos virardes à esquerda.
22 And ye shall pollute the couering of the images of siluer, and the riche ornament of thine images of golde, and cast them away as a menstruous cloth, and thou shalt say vnto it, Get thee hence.
22 Vós também ireis profanar a cobertura de tuas imagens esculpidas, e o ornamento de tuas imagens fundidas de ouro. Tu as descartarás como se descarta um trapo de pano usado durante a menstruação. Tu dirás em direção a ela: Vai-te embora!
23 Then shall hee giue raine vnto thy seede, when thou shalt sowe the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shalbe fat and as oyle: in that day shall thy cattell be fed in large pastures.
23 Então, ele dará a chuva de tua semente, com a qual semearás a terra; e pão daquilo que cresce da terra; e isto será próspero e abundante; naquele dia o teu rebanho se alimentará em grandes pastos.
24 The oxen also and the yong asses, that till the ground, shall eate cleane prouender, which is winowed with the shoouel and with the fanne.
24 Os bois, e os jumentinhos que lavram a terra comerão feno limpo, o qual tem sido joeirado com a pá e com a peneira.
25 And vpon euery hie mountaine, and vpon euery hie hill shall there be riuers and streames of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers shall fall.
25 E haverá sobre toda a alta montanha e sobre toda a alta colina, rios e córregos de águas no dia da grande matança, quando as torres cairão.
26 Moreouer, the light of the moone shall be as the light of the sunne, and the light of the sunne shalbe seuen folde, and like the light of seuen dayes in the day that the Lord shall binde vp the breach of his people, and heale the stroke of their wound.
26 Além disso, a luz da lua será como a luz do sol, e a luz do sol estará sete vezes mais forte, como a luz de sete dias, no dia em que o SENHOR enfaixar a ferida do seu povo e sarar o golpe de sua ferida.
27 Beholde, the Name of the Lord commeth from farre, his face is burning, and the burden thereof is heauy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a deuouring fire.
27 Eis que o nome do SENHOR vem de longe, queimando com sua ira, e a carga disto é pesada. Os lábios dele estão cheios de indignação, e sua língua como um fogo devorador.
28 And his spirit is as a riuer that ouerfloweth vp to the necke: it deuideth asunder, to fanne the nations with the fanne of vanitie, and there shall be a bridle to cause them to erre in the chawes of the people.
28 E sua respiração, como uma torrente transbordante, alcançará até a garganta, para peneirar as nações com a peneira de vaidade e haverá uma rédea nas mandíbulas do povo, levando-os a errar.
29 But there shall be a song vnto you as in the night, when solemne feast is kept: and gladnes of heart, as he that commeth with a pipe to goe vnto the mount of the Lord, to the mightie one of Israel.
29 Vós tereis uma canção, como na noite em que uma solenidade santa é celebrada. E alegria de coração semelhante a quando alguém vai com uma flauta para vir ao monte do SENHOR, ao Poderoso de Israel.
30 And the Lord shall cause his glorious voyce to be heard, and shall declare the lighting downe of his arme with the anger of his countenance, and flame of a deuouring fire, with scattering and tempest, and hailestones.
30 E o SENHOR fará sua gloriosa voz ser ouvida, e mostrará o relampejar do seu braço com a indignação de sua ira e com a chama de um fogo devorador, com dispersão, e tempestade, e pedras de granizo.
31 For with the voyce of the Lord shall Asshur be destroyed, which smote with the rod.
31 Porque por meio da voz do SENHOR os assírios serão derrubados, os quais golpeou com uma vara.
32 And in euery place that ye staffe shall passe, it shall cleaue fast, which the Lord shall lay vpon him with tabrets and harpes: and with battels, and lifting vp of hands shall he fight against it.
32 E, em todo lugar onde a liderança estabelecida vier a passar, a qual o SENHOR fará repousar sobre ele, isto ocorrerá com tamborins e harpas. E nas batalhas agitadas ele lutará com isto.
33 For Tophet is prepared of olde: it is euen prepared for the King: hee hath made it deepe and large: the burning thereof is fire and much wood: the breath of the Lord, like a riuer of brimstone, doeth kindle it.
33 Para Tofete está decretado há muito tempo. Sim, para o rei isto está preparado. Ele tem feito isto profundo e largo. A pira daquele lugar é fogo e muita madeira. O sopro do SENHOR, como uma torrente de enxofre, fará incendiá-lo.
