1 Then Abram went vp from Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him toward the South.
1 E Abrão saiu do Egito para o sul, ele, e sua esposa, e tudo que tinha, e Ló com ele.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattell, in siluer and in golde.
2 E Abrão era muito rico em gado, em prata e em ouro.
3 And he went on his iourney from ye South toward Beth-el, to the place where his tent had bene at ye beginning, betweene Beth-el and Haai,
3 E ele foi em suas viagens do sul até Betel, até o lugar em que sua tenda havia estado no início, entre Betel e Ai,
4 Vnto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the Name of the Lord.
4 até o lugar do altar, que ele fizera ali no início. E ali Abrão invocou o nome do SENHOR.
5 And Lot also, who went with Abram, had sheepe, and cattell and tentes,
5 E Ló também, que foi com Abrão, tinha rebanhos, e gado, e tendas.
6 So that the land coulde not beare them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they coulde not dwell together.
6 E a terra não foi capaz de comportá-los, para que eles pudessem habitar juntos. Porque eram muitos os seus bens, de modo que não puderam habitar juntos.
7 Also there was debate betweene ye heardmen of Abrams cattell, and the heardmen of Lots cattell. (and the Canaanites and the Perizzites dwelled at that time in the land.)
7 E houve contenda entre os pastores do gado de Abrão e os pastores do gado de Ló, e os cananeus e os perizeus habitavam na terra nesse tempo.
8 Then saide Abram vnto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, betweene thee and me, neither betweene mine heardmen and thine heardmen: for we be brethren.
8 E Abrão disse a Ló: Que não haja contenda, eu te suplico, entre mim e ti, e entre meus pastores e teus pastores, pois somos irmãos.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? depart I pray thee from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will goe to the right: or if thou goe to the right hand, then I will take the left.
9 Não está a terra toda diante de ti? Suplico-te que te apartes de mim. Se tomares a esquerda, então eu irei para a direita. Se te apartares para a direita, então eu irei para a esquerda.
10 So when Lot lifted vp his eyes, he saw that all the plaine of Iorden was watered euery where: (for before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorah, it was as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest vnto Zoar)
10 E Ló levantou os olhos, e viu toda a planície do Jordão, que era bem regada em todo lugar, antes do SENHOR ter destruído Sodoma e Gomorra, como o jardim do SENHOR, como a terra do Egito, quando se entra em Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose vnto him all the plaine of Iorden, and tooke his iourney from the East: and they departed the one from the other.
11 Então, Ló escolheu para si toda a planície do Jordão, e Ló viajou para o leste, e eles se apartaram um do outro.
12 Abram dwelled in the lande of Canaan, and Lot abode in the cities of the plaine, and pitched his tent euen to Sodom.
12 Abrão habitou na terra de Canaã, e Ló habitou nas cidades da planície, e armou sua tenda em direção a Sodoma.
13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and exceeding sinners against the Lord.
13 Mas os homens de Sodoma eram extremamente perversos e pecadores diante do SENHOR.
14 Then the Lord saide vnto Abram, (after that Lot was departed from him) Lift vp thine eyes nowe, and looke from the place where thou art, Northward, and Southward, and Eastwarde, and Westward:
14 E o SENHOR disse a Abrão, depois que Ló se apartou dele: Eleva agora os teus olhos, e olha do lugar em que estás para o norte, e para o sul, e para o leste, e para o oeste.
15 For all the land, which thou seest, will I giue vnto thee and to thy seede for euer,
15 Porque toda a terra que tu vês, para sempre eu te darei, e à tua semente.
16 And I will make thy seede, as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seede be numbred.
16 E eu farei a tua semente como o pó da terra, de modo que se um homem puder contar o pó da terra, então também a tua semente será contada.
17 Arise, walke through the land, in ye length thereof, and breadth thereof: for I will giue it vnto thee.
17 Levanta-te, caminha pela terra no seu comprimento e na sua largura, pois a ti eu a darei.
18 Then Abram remoued his tent, and came and dwelled in the plaine of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and builded there an altar vnto ye Lord.
18 Então Abrão removeu a sua tenda, e veio e habitou na planície de Manre, que é Hebrom, e ali edificou um altar ao SENHOR.
