1 Pavl an Apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Iesus Christ, and God the Father which hath raised him from the dead)
1 Paulo, apóstolo {não da parte dos homens, nem por intermédio de homem algum, mas sim por Jesus Cristo, e por Deus Pai, que o ressuscitou dentre os mortos},
2 And all the brethren which are with me, vnto the Churches of Galatia:
2 e todos os irmãos que estão comigo, às igrejas da Galácia:
3 Grace be with you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Iesus Christ,
3 Graça a vós, e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo,
4 Which gaue himself for our sinnes, that he might deliuer vs from this present euill world according to the will of God euen our Father,
4 o qual se deu a si mesmo por nossos pecados, para nos livrar do presente século mau, segundo a vontade de nosso Deus e Pai,
5 To whom be glory for euer and euer, Amen.
5 a quem seja a glória para todo o sempre. Amém.
6 I marueile that ye are so soone remoued away vnto another Gospel, from him that had called you in the grace of Christ,
6 Estou admirado de que tão depressa estejais desertando daquele que vos chamou na graça de Cristo, para outro evangelho,
7 Which is not another Gospel, saue that there be some which trouble you, and intend to peruert the Gospel of Christ.
7 o qual não é outro; senão que há alguns que vos perturbam e querem perverter o evangelho de Cristo.
8 But though that we, or an Angel from heauen preach vnto you otherwise, then that which we haue preached vnto you, let him be accursed.
8 Mas, ainda que nós mesmos ou um anjo do céu vos pregasse outro evangelho além do que já vos pregamos, seja anátema.
9 As we sayd before, so say I now againe, If any man preach vnto you otherwise, then that ye haue receiued, let him be accursed.
9 Como antes temos dito, assim agora novamente o digo: Se alguém vos pregar outro evangelho além do que já recebestes, seja anátema.
10 For nowe preach I mans doctrine, or Gods? or go I about to please men? for if I should yet please men, I were not the seruant of Christ.
10 Pois busco eu agora o favor dos homens, ou o favor de Deus? ou procuro agradar aos homens? se estivesse ainda agradando aos homens, não seria servo de Cristo.
11 Now I certifie you, brethren, that ye Gospel which was preached of me, was not after man.
11 Mas faço-vos saber, irmãos, que o evangelho que por mim foi anunciado não é segundo os homens;
12 For neither receiued I it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the reuelation of Iesus Christ.
12 porque não o recebi de homem algum, nem me foi ensinado; mas o recebi por revelação de Jesus Cristo.
13 For ye haue heard of my conuersation in time past, in the Iewish religion, how that I persecuted the Church of God extremely, and wasted it,
13 Pois já ouvistes qual foi outrora o meu procedimento no judaísmo, como sobremaneira perseguia a igreja de Deus e a assolava,
14 And profited in the Iewish religion aboue many of my companions of mine owne nation, and was much more zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
14 e na minha nação excedia em judaísmo a muitos da minha idade, sendo extremamente zeloso das tradições de meus pais.
15 But when it pleased God (which had separated me from my mothers wombe, and called me by his grace)
15 Mas, quando aprouve a Deus, que desde o ventre de minha mãe me separou, e me chamou pela sua graça,
16 To reueile his Sonne in me, that I should preach him among the Gentiles, immediatly I communicated not with flesh and blood:
16 revelar seu Filho em mim, para que eu o pregasse entre os gentios, não consultei carne e sangue,
17 Neither came I againe to Hierusalem to them which were Apostles before me, but I went into Arabia, and turned againe vnto Damascus.
17 nem subi a Jerusalém para estar com os que já antes de mim eram apóstolos, mas parti para a Arábia, e voltei outra vez a Damasco.
18 Then after three yeeres I came againe to Hierusalem to visite Peter, and abode with him fifteene dayes.
18 Depois, passados três anos, subi a Jerusalém para visitar a Cefas, e demorei com ele quinze dias.
19 And none other of the Apostles sawe I, saue Iames the Lords brother.
19 Mas não vi a nenhum outro dos apóstolos, senão a Tiago, irmão do Senhor.
20 Nowe the things which I write vnto you, beholde, I witnes before God, that I lie not.
20 Ora, acerca do que vos escrevo, eis que diante de Deus testifico que não minto.
21 After that, I went into the coastes of Syria and Cilicia: for I was vnknowen by face vnto the Churches of Iudea, which were in Christ.
21 Depois fui para as regiões da Síria e da Cilícia.
22 But they had heard onely some say, Hee which persecuted vs in time past, nowe preacheth the faith which before he destroyed.
22 Não era conhecido de vista das igrejas de Cristo na Judéia;
23 And they glorified God for me.
23 mas somente tinham ouvido dizer: Aquele que outrora nos perseguia agora prega a fé que antes procurava destruir;
24 — ausente —
24 e glorificavam a Deus a respeito de mim.
