1 Now hee had said vnto Moses, Come vp to the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seuentie of the Elders of Israel, and yee shall worship a farre off.
1 Depois disse a Moisés: Sobe ao SENHOR, tu e Arão, Nadabe e Abiú, e setenta dos anciãos de Israel; e adorai de longe.
2 And Moses himselfe alone shall come neere to the Lord, but they shall not come neere, neither shall the people goe vp with him.
2 E só Moisés se chegará ao Senhor; mas eles não se cheguem, nem o povo suba com ele.
3 Afterwarde Moses came and told the people all the wordes of the Lord, and all the lawes: and all the people answered with one voyce, and said, All the things which the Lord hath said, will we doe.
3 Veio, pois, Moisés, e contou ao povo todas as palavras do Senhor, e todos os estatutos; então o povo respondeu a uma voz, e disse: Todas as palavras, que o Senhor tem falado, faremos.
4 And Moses wrote all the wordes of the Lord, and rose vp early, and set vp an altar vnder the mountaine, and twelue pillars according to the twelue tribes of Israel.
4 Moisés escreveu todas as palavras do Senhor, e levantou-se pela manhã de madrugada, e edificou um altar ao pé do monte, e doze monumentos, segundo as doze tribos de Israel;
5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offrings of bieues, and sacrificed peace offrings vnto the Lord.
5 E enviou alguns jovens dos filhos de Israel, os quais ofereceram holocaustos e sacrificaram ao Senhor sacrifícios pacíficos de bezerros.
6 Then Moses tooke halfe of the blood, and put it in basens, and halfe of the blood he sprinckled on the altar.
6 E Moisés tomou a metade do sangue, e a pôs em bacias; e a outra metade do sangue espargiu sobre o altar.
7 After he tooke the booke of the couenant, and read it in the audience of the people: who said, All that the Lord hath said, we will do, and be obedient.
7 E tomou o livro da aliança e o leu aos ouvidos do povo, e eles disseram: Tudo o que o Senhor tem falado faremos, e obedeceremos.
8 Then Moses tooke the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold, the blood of the couenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these things.
8 Então tomou Moisés aquele sangue, e espargiu-o sobre o povo, e disse: Eis aqui o sangue da aliança que o Senhor tem feito convosco sobre todas estas palavras.
9 Then went vp Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seuentie of the Elders of Israel.
9 E subiram Moisés e Arão, Nadabe e Abiú, e setenta dos anciãos de Israel.
10 And they saw the God of Israel, and vnder his feete was as it were a worke of a Saphir stone, and as the very heauen when it is cleare.
10 E viram o Deus de Israel, e debaixo de seus pés havia como que uma pavimentação de pedra de safira, que se parecia com o céu na sua claridade.
11 And vpon the nobles of the children of Israel he laide not his hande: also they sawe God, and did eate and drinke.
11 Porém não estendeu a sua mão sobre os escolhidos dos filhos de Israel, mas viram a Deus, e comeram e beberam.
12 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Come vp to me into the mountaine, and be there, and I will giue thee tables of stone, and the law and the commandement, which I haue written, for to teach them.
12 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Sobe a mim ao monte, e fica lá; e dar-te-ei as tábuas de pedra e a lei, e os mandamentos que tenho escrito, para os ensinar.
13 Then Moses rose vp, and his minister Ioshua, and Moses went vp into the mountaine of God,
13 E levantou-se Moisés com Josué seu servidor; e subiu Moisés ao monte de Deus.
14 And said vnto the Elders, Tary vs here, vntill we come againe vnto you: and beholde, Aaron, and Hur are with you: whosoeuer hath any matters, let him come to them.
14 E disse aos anciãos: Esperai-nos aqui, até que tornemos a vós; e eis que Arão e Hur ficam convosco; quem tiver algum negócio, se chegará a eles.
15 Then Moses went vp to the mount, and the cloude couered the mountaine,
15 E, subindo Moisés ao monte, a nuvem cobriu o monte.
16 And the glorie of the Lord abode vpon mount Sinai, and the cloude couered it sixe dayes: and the seuenth day he called vnto Moses out of the middes of the cloude.
16 E a glória do Senhor repousou sobre o monte Sinai, e a nuvem o cobriu por seis dias; e ao sétimo dia chamou a Moisés do meio da nuvem.
17 And the sight of the glorie of the Lord was like consuming fire on the top of the moutaine, in the eyes of the children of Israel.
17 E o parecer da glória do Senhor era como um fogo consumidor no cume do monte, aos olhos dos filhos de Israel.
18 And Moses entred into the middes of the cloude, and went vp to the mountaine: and Moses was in the mount fourtie dayes and fourty nightes.
18 E Moisés entrou no meio da nuvem, depois que subiu ao monte; e Moisés esteve no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites.
