1 Ye shall keepe all the commandements which I command thee this day, for to doe them: that ye may liue, and be multiplied, and goe in, and possesse the land which the Lord sware vnto your fathers.
1 Todos os mandamentos que vos ordeno neste dia observareis para os cumprirdes, para que vivais, e vos multipliqueis, e entreis e possuais a terra que o SENHOR jurou aos vossos pais.
2 And thou shalt remember all ye way which the Lord thy God led thee this fourtie yeere in the wildernesse, for to humble thee and to proue thee, to knowe what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keepe his commandements or no.
2 E te lembrarás de todo o caminho pelo qual o SENHOR teu Deus te conduziu esses quarenta anos pelo deserto, para te humilhar, e para te provar, para saber o que havia em teu coração, se guardarias os seus mandamentos, ou não.
3 Therefore he humbled thee, and made thee hungry, and fed thee with MAN, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know it, that he might teache thee that man liueth not by bread onely, but by euery worde that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord, doth a man liue.
3 E ele te humilhou, e permitiu que tivesses fome, e te alimentou com o maná, que não conhecias, nem teus pais conheciam; para que soubesses que o homem não vive apenas de pão, mas de toda palavra que procede da boca do SENHOR o homem viverá.
4 Thy raiment waxed not olde vpon thee, neither did thy foote swell those fourtie yeeres.
4 A tua veste nunca envelheceu sobre ti, nem teu pé se inchou estes quarenta anos.
5 Knowe therefore in thine heart, that as a man nourtereth his sonne, so the Lord thy God nourtereth thee.
5 Considera também em teu coração que, como um homem castiga seu filho, também o SENHOR teu Deus te castiga.
6 Therefore shalt thou keepe the commandements of the Lord thy God, that thou mayest walke in his wayes, and feare him.
6 Por isso, guardarás os mandamentos do SENHOR teu Deus, para que andes nos seus caminhos, e para que o temas.
7 For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land in the which are riuers of water and fountaines, and depthes that spring out of valleis and mountaines:
7 Porque o SENHOR teu Deus te traz a uma boa terra, uma terra de ribeiros de água, de fontes e abismo, que jorram de vales e montes;
8 A land of wheate and barley, and of vineyards, and figtrees, and pomegranates: a land of oyle oliue and hony:
8 uma terra de trigo, e cevada, e vinhas, e figueiras, e romãs; uma terra de azeite de oliva e mel;
9 A land wherein thou shalt eate bread without scarcitie, neither shalt thou lacke any thing therein: a land whose stones are yron, and out of whose mountaines thou shalt digge brasse.
9 uma terra em que comerás pão sem escassez; não te faltará coisa alguma nessa terra; uma terra cujas pedras são ferro, e de cujas colinas poderás escavar cobre.
10 And when thou hast eaten and filled thy selfe, thou shalt blesse the Lord thy God for the good land, which he hath giuen thee.
10 Quando tiveres comido e estiveres saciado, então bendirás ao SENHOR teu Deus, pela boa terra que ele te deu.
11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, not keeping his commandements, and his lawes, and his ordinances, which I commaund thee this day:
11 Cuidado para que não te esqueças do SENHOR teu Deus, não guardando os seus mandamentos, e os seus juízos, e os seus estatutos, que te ordeno neste dia;
12 Lest when thou hast eaten and filled thy selfe, and hast built goodly houses and dwelt therein,
12 para que, quando tiveres comido e estiveres saciado, e tiveres edificado boas casas, e habitado nelas,
13 And thy beastes, and thy sheepe are increased, and thy siluer and golde is multiplied, and all that thou hast is increased,
13 e quando teus rebanhos e o teu gado tiverem se multiplicado, e se multiplicar a tua prata e o teu ouro, e tudo o que tiveres se multiplicar,
14 Then thine heart be lifted vp and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage,
14 então, se exaltar teu coração, e te esqueças do SENHOR teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa de servidão;
15 Who was thy guide in the great and terrible wildernes (wherein were fierie serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where was no water, who brought forth water for thee out of ye rock of flint:
15 que te guiou por aquele grande e terrível deserto, onde havia serpentes ardentes, e escorpiões, e seca, onde não havia água; que fez sair água da rocha da pedreira;
16 Who fed thee in the wildernesse with MAN, which thy fathers knewe not) to humble thee, and and to proue thee, that he might doe thee good at thy latter ende.
16 que te alimentou no deserto com o maná, que teus pais não conheciam, para que pudesse te humilhar, e para que pudesse te provar, para te fazer bem, no teu fim;
17 Beware least thou say in thine heart, My power, and the strength of mine owne hand hath prepared me this abundance.
17 e para que não digas em teu coração: O meu poder e a força da minha mão me trouxeram esta riqueza.
18 But remember the Lord thy God: for it is he which giueth thee power to get substance to establish his couenant which he sware vnto thy fathers, as appeareth this day.
18 Mas te lembrarás do SENHOR teu Deus; porque é ele que te dá o poder para obteres riqueza, para que ele possa estabelecer o seu pacto que ele jurou aos teus pais, como é neste dia.
19 And if thou forget the Lord thy God, and walke after other gods, and serue them, and worship them, I testifie vnto you this day that ye shall surely perish.
19 E acontecerá que se te esqueceres completamente do SENHOR teu Deus, e buscares outros deuses e os servires, e os adorares, neste dia testemunharei contra vós, que certamente perecereis.
20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before you, so ye shall perish, because ye woulde not be obedient vnto the voyce of the Lord your God.
20 Como as nações que o SENHOR destruiu diante de vossa face, também vós perecereis; porque não quisestes obedecer à voz do SENHOR vosso Deus.
