1 The Reuelation of Iesus Christ, which God gaue vnto him, to shewe vnto his seruants things which must shortly be done: which he sent, and shewed by his Angel vnto his seruant Iohn,
1 Revelação de Jesus Cristo, que Deus lhe deu para mostrar aos seus servos o que em breve há de acontecer. Ele enviou o seu anjo para torná-la conhecida ao seu servo João,
2 Who bare record of ye word of God, and of the testimonie of Iesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
2 que dá testemunho de tudo o que viu, isto é, a palavra de Deus e o testemunho de Jesus Cristo.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that heare the wordes of this prophecie, and keepe those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
3 Feliz aquele que lê as palavras desta profecia e felizes aqueles que ouvem e guardam o que nela está escrito, porque o tempo está próximo.
4 Iohn, to the seuen Churches which are in Asia, Grace be with you, and peace from him, Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come, and from the seuen Spirits which are before his Throne,
4 João às sete igrejas da província da Ásia: A vocês, graça e paz da parte daquele que é, que era e que há de vir, dos sete espíritos que estão diante do seu trono,
5 And from Iesus Christ, which is that faithful witnes, and that first begotten of the dead, and that Prince of the Kings of the earth, vnto him that loued vs, and washed vs from our sinnes in his blood,
5 e de Jesus Cristo, que é a testemunha fiel, o primogênito dentre os mortos e o soberano dos reis da terra. Ele que nos ama e nos libertou dos nossos pecados por meio do seu sangue,
6 And made vs Kings and Priests vnto God euen his Father, to him I say be glory, and dominion for euermore, Amen.
6 e nos constituiu reino e sacerdotes para servir a seu Deus e Pai. A ele sejam glória e poder para todo o sempre! Amém.
7 Beholde, he commeth with cloudes, and euery eye shall see him: yea, euen they which pearced him thorowe: and all kinreds of the earth shall waile before him, Euen so, Amen.
7 Eis que ele vem com as nuvens, e todo olho o verá, até mesmo aqueles que o traspassaram; e todos os povos da terra se lamentarão por causa dele. Assim será! Amém.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come, euen the Almightie.
8 "Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega", diz o Senhor Deus, "o que é, o que era e o que há de vir, o Todo-poderoso".
9 I Iohn, euen your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdome and patience of Iesus Christ, was in the yle called Patmos, for the worde of God, and for the witnessing of Iesus Christ.
9 Eu, João, irmão e companheiro de vocês no sofrimento, no Reino e na perseverança em Jesus, estava na ilha de Patmos, por causa da palavra de Deus e do testemunho de Jesus.
10 And I was rauished in spirit on the Lordes day, and heard behinde me a great voyce, as it had bene of a trumpet,
10 No dia do Senhor achei-me no Espírito e ouvi por trás de mim uma voz forte, como de trombeta,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, that first and that last: and that which thou seest, write in a booke, and send it vnto the seuen Churches which are in Asia, vnto Ephesus, and vnto Smyrna, and vnto Pergamus, and vnto Thyatira, and vnto Sardis, and vnto Philadelphia, and vnto Laodicea.
11 que dizia: "Escreva num livro o que você vê e envie a estas sete igrejas: Éfeso, Esmirna, Pérgamo, Tiatira, Sardes, Filadélfia e Laodicéia".
12 Then I turned backe to see the voyce, that spake with me: and when I was turned, I sawe seuen golden candlestickes,
12 Voltei-me para ver quem falava comigo. Voltando-me, vi sete candelabros de ouro
13 And in the middes of the seuen candlestickes, one like vnto the Sonne of man, clothed with a garment downe to the feete, and girded about the pappes with a golden girdle.
13 e entre os candelabros alguém "semelhante a um filho de homem", com uma veste que chegava aos seus pés e um cinturão de ouro ao redor do peito.
14 His head, and heares were white as white wooll, and as snowe, and his eyes were as a flame of fire,
14 Sua cabeça e seus cabelos eram brancos como a lã, tão brancos quanto a neve, e seus olhos eram como chama de fogo.
15 And his feete like vnto fine brasse, burning as in a fornace: and his voyce as the sounde of many waters.
15 Seus pés eram como o bronze numa fornalha ardente e sua voz como o som de muitas águas.
16 And he had in his right hand seuen starres: and out of his mouth went a sharpe two edged sword: and his face shone as the sunne shineth in his strength.
16 Tinha em sua mão direita sete estrelas, e da sua boca saía uma espada afiada de dois gumes. Sua face era como o sol quando brilha em todo o seu fulgor.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feete as dead: then he laid his right hand vpon me, saying vnto me, Feare not: I am that first and that last,
17 Quando o vi, caí aos seus pés como morto. Então ele colocou sua mão direita sobre mim e disse: "Não tenha medo. Eu sou o primeiro e o último.
18 And am aliue, but I was dead: and beholde, I am aliue for euermore, Amen: and I haue the keyes of hell and of death.
18 Sou aquele que vive. Estive morto mas agora estou vivo para todo o sempre! E tenho as chaves da morte e do Hades.
19 Write the things which thou hast seene, and the things which are, and the things which shall come hereafter.
19 "Escreva, pois, as coisas que você viu, tanto as presentes como as que estão por vir.
20 The misterie of the seuen starres which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seuen golden candlestickes, is this, The seuen starres are the Angels of the seuen Churches: and the seuen candlestickes which thou sawest, are the seuen Churches.
20 Este é o mistério das sete estrelas que você viu em minha mão direita e dos sete candelabros: as sete estrelas são os anjos das sete igrejas, e os sete candelabros são as sete igrejas".
