1 The seuenteenth yeere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, Ahaz the sonne of Iotham King of Iudah began to reigne.
1 No décimo sétimo ano do reinado de Peca, filho de Remalias, Acaz, filho de Jotão, rei de Judá, começou a reinar.
2 Twentie yeere olde was Ahaz, when hee began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem, and did not vprightly in the sight of the Lord his God, like Dauid his father:
2 Acaz tinha vinte anos de idade quando começou a reinar e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. Não fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor , seu Deus, ao contrário de Davi, seu pai.
3 But walked in the way of ye kings of Israel, yea, and made his sonne to go through the fire, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
3 Andou no caminho dos reis de Israel e até queimou o seu filho como sacrifício, segundo as abominações dos gentios, que o Senhor havia expulsado de diante dos filhos de Israel.
4 Also he offred and burnt incense in the hie places and on the hilles, and vnder euery greene tree.
4 Também sacrificou e queimou incenso nos lugares altos, nas colinas e debaixo de toda árvore frondosa.
5 Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah sonne of Remaliah King of Israel came vp to Ierusalem to fight: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not ouercome him.
5 Então Rezim, rei da Síria, e Peca, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, subiram a Jerusalém para lutar contra ela. Cercaram Acaz, mas não conseguiram derrotá-lo.
6 At the same time Rezin king of Aram restored Elath to Aram, and droue the Iewes from Elath: so the Aramites came to Elath, and dwelt there vnto this day.
6 Naquele tempo, Rezim, rei da Síria, restituiu Elate à Síria e expulsou dela os homens de Judá. Os sírios foram para Elate e ficaram morando ali até o dia de hoje.
7 Then Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, saying, I am thy seruant and thy sonne: come vp, and deliuer me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the King of Israel which rise vp against me.
7 Acaz enviou mensageiros a Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, dizendo: — Eu sou seu servo e seu filho. Venha me livrar do poder do rei da Síria e do poder do rei de Israel, que se levantam contra mim.
8 And Ahaz tooke the siluer and the golde that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the Kings house, and sent a present vnto the King of Asshur.
8 Acaz pegou a prata e o ouro que havia na Casa do Senhor e nos tesouros do palácio real e mandou de presente ao rei da Assíria.
9 And the King of Asshur consented vnto him: and the King of Asshur went vp against Damascus. and when he had taken it, he caryed the people away to Kir, and slew Rezin.
9 O rei da Assíria lhe deu ouvidos, subiu contra Damasco, tomou-a, levou o povo para Quir e matou Rezim.
10 And King Ahaz went vnto Damascus to meete Tiglath Pileser King of Asshur: and when King Ahaz sawe the altar that was at Damascus, he sent to Vriiah the Priest the paterne of the altar, and the facion of it, and all the workemanship thereof.
10 Então o rei Acaz foi a Damasco para se encontrar com Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria. Ao ver ali um altar, enviou ao sacerdote Urias o modelo do altar e a planta segundo a qual tinha sido feito.
11 And Vriiah the Priest made an altar in al poyntes like to that which King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so did Vriiah the Priest against King Ahaz came from Damascus.
11 Urias, o sacerdote, edificou um altar segundo tudo o que o rei Acaz havia ordenado de Damasco; o sacerdote Urias fez isso antes que o rei Acaz viesse de Damasco.
12 So when the King was come from Damascus, the King sawe the altar: and the King drewe neere to the altar and offered thereon.
12 Quando o rei voltou de Damasco, viu o altar, aproximou-se dele e nele sacrificou.
13 And hee burnt his burnt offering, and his meate offring, and powred his drinke offring, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offrings besides the altar,
13 Queimou o seu holocausto e a sua oferta de cereais, derramou a sua libação e aspergiu o sangue das suas ofertas pacíficas naquele altar.
14 And set it by the brasen altar which was before the Lord, and brought it in farther before the house betweene the altar and the house of the Lord, and set it on the North side of the altar.
14 O altar de bronze, que estava diante do Senhor , ele o tirou da frente do templo, do lugar entre o altar dele e a Casa do Senhor , e o pôs ao lado do seu altar, do lado norte.
15 And King Ahaz commanded Vriiah the Priest, and sayde, Vpon the great altar set on fire in the morning the burnt offring, and in the euen the meate offring, and the Kings burnt offring and his meate offering, with the burnt offring of all the people of the lande, and their meate offring, and their drinke offrings: and powre thereby all the blood of the burnt offring, and all the blood of the sacrifice, and the brasen altar shalbe for me to inquire of God.
15 O rei Acaz também ordenou ao sacerdote Urias, dizendo: — Use este altar grande para o holocausto da manhã, para a oferta de cereais da tarde, para o holocausto do rei e a sua oferta de cereais, e para o holocausto de todo o povo da terra, a sua oferta de cereais e as suas libações. Todo o sangue dos holocaustos e todo o sangue dos sacrifícios você deve aspergir nele. Mas o altar de bronze ficará para a minha deliberação posterior.
16 And Vriiah the Priest did according to all that King Ahaz had commanded.
16 E o sacerdote Urias fez tudo como o rei Acaz lhe havia ordenado.
17 And King Ahaz brake the borders of the bases, and tooke the caldrons from off them, and tooke downe the sea from the brasen oxen that were vnder it, and put it vpon a pauement of stones.
17 O rei Acaz cortou os painéis dos suportes e tirou as pias que estavam em cima deles. Pegou também o mar de fundição e o tirou de sobre os touros de bronze, que estavam debaixo dele, e o pôs sobre um pavimento de pedra.
18 And the vaile for the Sabbath (that they had made in the house) and the Kings entrie without turned he to the house of the Lord, because of the King of Asshur.
18 Também, por causa do rei da Assíria, retirou da Casa do Senhor a estrutura coberta para uso no sábado, que tinha sido construída no templo, e a entrada real pelo lado de fora.
19 Concerning the rest of the actes of Ahaz, which he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
19 Quanto aos demais atos de Acaz e ao que fez, não está tudo escrito no Livro da História dos Reis de Judá?
20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Hezekiah his sonne reigned in his steade.
20 Acaz morreu e foi sepultado junto a seus pais, na Cidade de Davi; e Ezequias, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
