1 The seuenteenth yeere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, Ahaz the sonne of Iotham King of Iudah began to reigne.
1 No ano dezessete de Peca, filho de Remalias, começou a reinar Acaz, filho de Jotão, rei de Judá.
2 Twentie yeere olde was Ahaz, when hee began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem, and did not vprightly in the sight of the Lord his God, like Dauid his father:
2 Tinha Acaz vinte anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém, e não fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor seu Deus, como Davi, seu pai.
3 But walked in the way of ye kings of Israel, yea, and made his sonne to go through the fire, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
3 Porque andou no caminho dos reis de Israel, e até a seu filho fez passar pelo fogo, segundo as abominações dos gentios que o Senhor lançara fora de diante dos filhos de Israel.
4 Also he offred and burnt incense in the hie places and on the hilles, and vnder euery greene tree.
4 Também sacrificou, e queimou incenso nos altos e nos outeiros, como também debaixo de todo o arvoredo.
5 Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah sonne of Remaliah King of Israel came vp to Ierusalem to fight: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not ouercome him.
5 Então subiu Rezim, rei da Síria, com Peca, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, a Jerusalém, para pelejar; e cercaram a Acaz, porém não o puderam vencer.
6 At the same time Rezin king of Aram restored Elath to Aram, and droue the Iewes from Elath: so the Aramites came to Elath, and dwelt there vnto this day.
6 Naquele mesmo tempo Rezim, rei da Síria, restituiu Elate à Síria, e lançou fora de Elate os judeus; e os sírios vieram a Elate, e habitaram ali até ao dia de hoje.
7 Then Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, saying, I am thy seruant and thy sonne: come vp, and deliuer me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the King of Israel which rise vp against me.
7 E Acaz enviou mensageiros a Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, dizendo: Eu sou teu servo e teu filho; sobe, e livra-me das mãos do rei da Síria, e das mãos do rei de Israel, que se levantam contra mim.
8 And Ahaz tooke the siluer and the golde that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the Kings house, and sent a present vnto the King of Asshur.
8 E tomou Acaz a prata e o ouro que se achou na casa do Senhor, e nos tesouros da casa do rei, e mandou um presente ao rei da Assíria.
9 And the King of Asshur consented vnto him: and the King of Asshur went vp against Damascus. and when he had taken it, he caryed the people away to Kir, and slew Rezin.
9 E o rei da Assíria lhe deu ouvidos; pois o rei da Assíria subiu contra Damasco, e tomou-a e levou cativo o povo para Quir, e matou a Rezim.
10 And King Ahaz went vnto Damascus to meete Tiglath Pileser King of Asshur: and when King Ahaz sawe the altar that was at Damascus, he sent to Vriiah the Priest the paterne of the altar, and the facion of it, and all the workemanship thereof.
10 Então o rei Acaz foi a Damasco, a encontrar-se com Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria; e, vendo um altar que estava em Damasco, o rei Acaz enviou ao sacerdote Urias o desenho e o modelo do altar, conforme toda a sua feitura.
11 And Vriiah the Priest made an altar in al poyntes like to that which King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so did Vriiah the Priest against King Ahaz came from Damascus.
11 E Urias, o sacerdote, edificou um altar conforme tudo o que o rei Acaz lhe tinha enviado de Damasco; assim o fez o sacerdote Urias, antes que o rei Acaz viesse de Damasco.
12 So when the King was come from Damascus, the King sawe the altar: and the King drewe neere to the altar and offered thereon.
12 Vindo, pois, o rei de Damasco, viu o altar; e o rei se chegou ao altar, e sacrificou nele.
13 And hee burnt his burnt offering, and his meate offring, and powred his drinke offring, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offrings besides the altar,
13 E queimou o seu holocausto, e a sua oferta de alimentos, e derramou a sua libação, e espargiu o sangue dos seus sacrifícios pacíficos sobre o altar.
14 And set it by the brasen altar which was before the Lord, and brought it in farther before the house betweene the altar and the house of the Lord, and set it on the North side of the altar.
14 Porém o altar de cobre, que estava perante o Senhor, ele tirou de diante da casa, de entre o seu altar e a casa do Senhor, e pô-lo ao lado do altar, do lado do norte.
15 And King Ahaz commanded Vriiah the Priest, and sayde, Vpon the great altar set on fire in the morning the burnt offring, and in the euen the meate offring, and the Kings burnt offring and his meate offering, with the burnt offring of all the people of the lande, and their meate offring, and their drinke offrings: and powre thereby all the blood of the burnt offring, and all the blood of the sacrifice, and the brasen altar shalbe for me to inquire of God.
15 E o rei Acaz ordenou a Urias, o sacerdote, dizendo: Queima no grande altar o holocausto da manhã, como também a oferta de alimentos da noite, o holocausto do rei e a sua oferta de alimentos, e o holocausto de todo o povo da terra, a sua oferta de alimentos, as suas ofertas de bebidas e todo o sangue dos holocaustos, e todo o sangue dos sacrifícios espargirás nele; porém o altar de cobre será para mim, para nele inquirir.
16 And Vriiah the Priest did according to all that King Ahaz had commanded.
16 E fez Urias, o sacerdote, conforme tudo quanto o rei Acaz lhe ordenara.
17 And King Ahaz brake the borders of the bases, and tooke the caldrons from off them, and tooke downe the sea from the brasen oxen that were vnder it, and put it vpon a pauement of stones.
17 E o rei Acaz cortou as cintas das bases, e de cima delas tomou a pia, e tirou o mar de sobre os bois de cobre, que estavam debaixo dele, e pô-lo sobre um pavimento de pedra.
18 And the vaile for the Sabbath (that they had made in the house) and the Kings entrie without turned he to the house of the Lord, because of the King of Asshur.
18 Também a coberta que, para o sábado, edificaram na casa, e a entrada real externa, retirou da casa do Senhor, por causa do rei da Assíria.
19 Concerning the rest of the actes of Ahaz, which he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
19 Ora, o mais dos atos de Acaz e o que fez, porventura não está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?
20 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Hezekiah his sonne reigned in his steade.
20 E dormiu Acaz com seus pais, e foi sepultado junto a seus pais, na cidade de Davi; e Ezequias, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
