1 At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.
1 Naquele tempo, adoeceu Abias, filho de Jeroboão.
2 And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,
2 E disse Jeroboão à sua mulher: Levanta-te, agora, e disfarça-te, para que não conheçam que és mulher de Jeroboão, e vai a Siló. Eis que lá está o profeta Aías o qual falou de mim, que eu seria rei sobre este povo.
3 And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.
3 E toma na tua mão dez pães, e bolos, e uma botija de mel e vai a ele; ele te declarará o que há de suceder a este menino.
4 And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.
4 E a mulher de Jeroboão assim fez, e se levantou, e foi a Siló, e entrou na casa de Aías; e já Aías não podia ver, porque os seus olhos estavam já escurecidos por causa da sua velhice.
5 Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.
5 Porém o Senhor disse a Aías: Eis que a mulher de Jeroboão vem consultar-te sobre seu filho, porque está doente; assim e assim lhe falarás, e há de ser que, entrando ela, fingirá ser outra.
6 Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.
6 E sucedeu que, ouvindo Aías o ruído de seus pés, entrando ela pela porta, disse ele: Entra, mulher de Jeroboão! Por que te disfarças assim? Pois eu sou enviado a ti com duras novas.
7 Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,
7 Vai e dize a Jeroboão: Assim diz o Senhor , Deus de Israel: Visto que te levantei do meio do povo, e te pus por chefe sobre o meu povo de Israel,
8 And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,
8 e rasguei o reino da casa de Davi, e a ti to dei, e tu não foste como o meu servo Davi, que guardou os meus mandamentos e que andou após mim com todo o seu coração para fazer somente o que era reto aos meus olhos;
9 But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)
9 antes, tu fizeste o mal, pior do que todos os que foram antes de ti, e foste, e fizeste outros deuses e imagens de fundição, para provocar-me à ira, e me lançaste para trás das tuas costas,
10 Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.
10 portanto, eis que trarei mal sobre a casa de Jeroboão, e separarei de Jeroboão todo homem até ao menino, tanto o escravo como o livre em Israel, e lançarei fora os descendentes da casa de Jeroboão, como se lança fora o esterco, até que de todo se acabe.
11 The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.
11 Quem morrer a Jeroboão na cidade, os cães o comerão, e o que morrer no campo, as aves do céu o comerão, porque o Senhor o disse.
12 Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.
12 Tu, pois, levanta-te e vai-te para tua casa; entrando os teus pés na cidade, o menino morrerá.
13 And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.
13 E todo o Israel o pranteará e o sepultará, porque de Jeroboão só este entrará em sepultura, porquanto se achou nele coisa boa para com o Senhor , Deus de Israel, em casa de Jeroboão.
14 Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.
14 O Senhor , porém, levantará para si um rei sobre Israel, que destruirá a casa de Jeroboão no mesmo dia; mas que será também agora!
15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.
15 Também o Senhor ferirá a Israel, como se move a cana nas águas, e arrancará a Israel desta boa terra que tinha dado a seus pais, e o espalhará para além do rio, porquanto fizeram os seus bosques, provocando o Senhor à ira.
16 And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.
16 E entregará Israel por causa dos pecados de Jeroboão, o qual pecou e fez pecar a Israel.
17 And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,
17 Então, a mulher de Jeroboão se levantou, e foi, e veio a Tirza; chegando ela ao limiar da porta, morreu o menino.
18 And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.
18 E o sepultaram, e todo o Israel o pranteou, conforme a palavra do Senhor , a qual dissera pelo ministério de seu servo Aías, o profeta.
19 And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
19 Quanto ao mais dos atos de Jeroboão, como guerreou e como reinou, eis que tudo está escrito no Livro das Crônicas dos Reis de Israel.
20 And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.
20 E foram os dias que Jeroboão reinou vinte e dois anos, e dormiu com seus pais; e Nadabe, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
21 Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.
21 E Roboão, filho de Salomão, reinava em Judá; de quarenta e um anos de idade era Roboão quando começou a reinar e dezessete anos reinou em Jerusalém, na cidade que o Senhor elegera de todas as tribos de Israel para pôr ali o seu nome; e era o nome de sua mãe Naamá, amonita.
22 And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.
22 E fez Judá o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor ; e o provocaram a zelo, mais do que todos os seus pais fizeram com os seus pecados que cometeram.
23 For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.
23 Porque também eles edificaram altos, e estátuas, e imagens do bosque sobre todo alto outeiro e debaixo de toda árvore verde.
24 There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
24 Havia também rapazes escandalosos na terra; fizeram conforme todas as abominações das nações que o Senhor tinha expulsado de diante dos filhos de Israel.
25 And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,
25 Sucedeu, pois, que, no quinto ano do rei Roboão, Sisaque, rei do Egito, subiu contra Jerusalém.
26 And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.
26 E tomou os tesouros da Casa do Senhor e os tesouros da casa do rei, e ainda tomou tudo, e também tomou todos os escudos de ouro que Salomão tinha feito.
27 And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
27 E, em lugar deles, fez o rei Roboão escudos de cobre e os entregou nas mãos dos capitães da guarda, que guardavam a porta da casa do rei.
28 And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.
28 E sucedeu que, quando o rei entrava na Casa do Senhor , os da guarda os levavam e os tornavam a trazer à câmara dos da guarda.
29 And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
29 Quanto ao mais dos atos de Roboão e a tudo quanto fez, porventura, não está tudo escrito no Livro das Crônicas dos Reis de Judá?
30 And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.
30 E houve guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão todos os seus dias.
31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
31 E Roboão dormiu com seus pais e foi sepultado com seus pais na Cidade de Davi; e era o nome de sua mãe Naamá, amonita; e Abias, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
