1 Saabe majjum, njoppon ko boni fuu: jammba e naafigaaku e haasidaaku e ɲoore fuu.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 No cukaloy keccoy muuyirta kosam enɗi inniraaɓe mum'en nii, hono non onon duu muuyiron non konngol Laamɗo laaɓungol ngol, yalla oɗon mawnira saabe maggol kison,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 sabi Binndi ɗii mbii: «on meeɗii hinnee Joomiraaɗo.»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Ngaree e Joomiraaɗo, sabi kanko woni haayre wuurnde nde yimɓe tippitii, kaa Laamɗo suɓike nde, teddinii nde.

5 Onon duu oɗon mba'i hono no kaaƴe guurɗe mahirteeɗe suudu duumiindu nii. On yottinooɓe sadaka seniiɓe, waddanooɓe Laamɗo sadakaaji ruuhunkooji ɗi mo jaabortoo saabe Iisaa Almasiihu.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Sabi Binndi ɗii mbii:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Onon goonɗinɓe ɓee, nden haayre ana horsi e mon. Kaa ɓe ngoonɗinaali ɓee, Binndi ɗii mbiyanii ɓe:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 nden haayre yimɓe pergitotoo,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Kaa onon, on leɲol cuɓaangol, on yottinooɓe sadaka gollanooɓe Kaananke oo, on jaaleɲol ceniingol, on yimɓe ɓe Laamɗo suɓanii hoore mum, faa kaalon haala golleeji makko lobbi, kanko woni nodduɗo on iwde e nimre faade e fooyre mum haayniinde!
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Arannde on nganaano yimɓe Laamɗo, kaa jooni on yimɓe makko. On keɓaalino yurmeende makko, kaa jooni on keɓii yurmeende makko.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Sakiraaɓe am horsuɓe, on nganaa so wanaa hoɓɓe e yimɓe jananɓe e aduna oo. Saabe majjum, miɗo yaggina on, ngoɗɗito-ɗon giɗaaɗe yonki, sabi wakkati fuu eɗe ndaarta halkude yonkiiji mooɗon.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Maree needi hakkunde yimɓe ɓe ngoonɗinaali ɓee, yalla fay so ɓe kappiri on bone, eɓe njiya golle mooɗon lobbo, ɓe teddina Laamɗo ɲannde ɓanngani ɓe.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Njaɓanee kaanankooɓe ɓee fuu saabe Joomiraaɗo, gila e kaananke ɓurɗo toowde,

14 faa e wakiilu mum nelaaɗo faa jukka waɗooɓe ko boni, yetta waɗooɓe ko moƴƴi.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Sabi ko woni sago Laamɗo dee, muɓɓiron kunduɗe nuykaaɓe majjuɓe ɓee golle mooɗon lobbo.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Onon jey ko'e mon, kaa kaybee pati ɗum laatanoo on sabaabu faa ngollon golle bonɗo. Ngorron no maraaɓe Laamɗo nii.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Teddinee yimɓe fuu, njiɗee sakiraaɓe goonɗinɓe ɓee, kulee Laamɗo, teddinee kaananke mawɗo oo.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Maccuɓe, ɗowtanee halfaaɓe mooɗon teddinon ɗum'en, wanaa halfaaɓe moƴƴuɓe newiiɓe ɓee tan, fay ooɲiiɓe ɓee duu ɗowtanee ɗum'en,
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 sabi neɗɗo mo tooɲaali, so torraama muɲiri saabe Laamɗo, waɗii ko moƴƴi.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 So tawii a tooɲuɗo a jukkaama batte majjum, fay so a muɲii, teddeengal hongal keɓataa? Kaa so on muɲii torraaji kewtiiɗi on ley golle mon lobbo oo, Laamɗo ana yiɗi ɗum.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ɗum Laamɗo noddori on, sabi Almasiihu torriraama saabe mon. O hollii on laawol yalla oɗon njokka koyɗe makko.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Abada mo luuttaali, fay gooto nanaali fenaande e hunduko makko.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Nde ɓe njennunoo mo ndee, o yennitaaki ɓe, nde ɓe kollunoo mo bone ndee, o giidaaki ɓe. O doomtirii ɓe Laamɗo cariroowo jaadiral oo.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Iisaa Almasiihu e hoore mum roondike luutti meeɗen e calɗi mum dow leggal bardugal, faa maayanen luutti, nguuranen fooccitaare. On cellinaama kammari barmanɗe makko.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Arannde, on baali majjuɗi, kaa jooni, on ngartiraama e duroowo kayboowo yonkiiji mooɗon.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
