Romanos 12
The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs NVI
1 I BESEECH then of you, my brethren, by the mercies of Aloha, that you present your bodies a sacrifice, living and holy and acceptable unto Aloha, in a rational service.
1 Portanto, irmãos, rogo-lhes pelas misericórdias de Deus que se ofereçam em sacrifício vivo, santo e agradável a Deus; este é o culto racional de vocês.
2 And be not likened unto this world, but be changed by the renewing of your minds, that you may discern what is the will of Aloha, good, and acceptable, and perfect.
2 Não se amoldem ao padrão deste mundo, mas transformem-se pela renovação da sua mente, para que sejam capazes de experimentar e comprovar a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus.
3 But I tell you all through the grace which is given to me, that you are not to think beyond what it is proper to think; but that you think with sobriety, every man as Aloha hath divided to him faith in measure.
3 Pois pela graça que me foi dada digo a todos vocês: ninguém tenha de si mesmo um conceito mais elevado do que deve ter; mas, pelo contrário, tenha um conceito equilibrado, de acordo com a medida da fé que Deus lhe concedeu.
4 For as in one body we have many members, and as all the members have not one work,
4 Assim como cada um de nós tem um corpo com muitos membros e esses membros não exercem todos a mesma função,
5 so also we who are many are one body in the Meshiha; but we are each of us members one of another.
5 assim também em Cristo nós, que somos muitos, formamos um corpo, e cada membro está ligado a todos os outros.
6 But we have various gifts according to the grace that is given to us: is it prophecy? (let him who has received it) prophesy according to the measure of the faith.
6 Temos diferentes dons, de acordo com a graça que nos foi dada. Se alguém tem o dom de profetizar, use-o na proporção da sua fé.
7 Hath (another the gift) of ministry? (let him be employed) in his ministry; he who is a teacher, (let him labour) in his teaching;
7 Se o seu dom é servir, sirva; se é ensinar, ensine;
8 he who is an exhorter, in his exhorting; as he who giveth, (let him give with simplicity;) and he who presideth, (let it be) with diligence; and he who (is engaged in works) of mercy, with cheerfulness.
8 se é dar ânimo, que assim faça; se é contribuir, que contribua generosamente; se é exercer liderança, que a exerça com zelo; se é mostrar misericórdia, que o faça com alegria.
9 And let not your love be guileful; abhor things evil, cleave to the good.
9 O amor deve ser sincero. Odeiem o que é mau; apeguem-se ao que é bom.
10 Be tender to your brethren, and love one another, being forward to honour one another.
10 Dediquem-se uns aos outros com amor fraternal. Prefiram dar honra aos outros mais do que a si próprios.
11 Be diligent, and not slothful, be fervent in spirit, be serving your Lord.
11 Nunca lhes falte o zelo, sejam fervorosos no espírito, sirvam ao Senhor.
12 Rejoice in your hope, sustain your afflictions, be constant in prayer;
12 Alegrem-se na esperança, sejam pacientes na tribulação, perseverem na oração.
13 distributing to the necessity of the saints. Be kind to strangers.
13 Compartilhem o que vocês têm com os santos em suas necessidades. Pratiquem a hospitalidade.
14 Bless your persecutors; bless, and curse not.
14 Abençoem aqueles que os perseguem; abençoem, e não os amaldiçoem.
15 Rejoice with them who rejoice, and weep with them who weep.
15 Alegrem-se com os que se alegram; chorem com os que choram.
16 And what you think of yourselves, (that) also think of your brethren; nor think with a high mind, but incline to them who are humble; and be not wise in the conceit of your own mind.
16 Tenham uma mesma atitude uns para com os outros. Não sejam orgulhosos, mas estejam dispostos a associar-se a pessoas de posição inferior. Não sejam sábios aos seus próprios olhos.
17 And repay to no man evil for evil, but be careful to do good before all men.
17 Não retribuam a ninguém mal por mal. Procurem fazer o que é correto aos olhos de todos.
18 And if possible, as much as is in you, with all men make peace.
18 Façam todo o possível para viver em paz com todos.
19 And avenge not yourselves, my beloved, but give place unto wrath; for it is written, that if thou execute not judgment for thyself, I will execute thy judgment, saith Aloha.
19 Amados, nunca procurem vingar-se, mas deixem com Deus a ira, pois está escrito: "Minha é a vingança; eu retribuirei", diz o Senhor.
20 And if thy adversary hunger, feed him; and if he thirst, give him drink: and if these things thou do unto him, coals of fire thou wilt heap upon his head.
20 Pelo contrário: "Se o seu inimigo tiver fome, dê-lhe de comer; se tiver sede, dê-lhe de beber. Fazendo isso, você amontoará brasas vivas sobre a cabeça dele".
21 Let not evil overcome you, but overcome evil with good.
21 Não se deixem vencer pelo mal, mas vençam o mal com o bem.
