The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs NVI
1 BUT after two days was the Petscha of unleavened cakes: and the chief priests and the Sophree sought how with guile they might apprehend and kill him.
1 Faltavam apenas dois dias para a Páscoa e para a festa dos pães sem fermento. Os chefes dos sacerdotes e os mestres da lei estavam procurando um meio de flagrar Jesus em algum erro e matá-lo.
2 And they said, Not on the festival, lest there be a commotion among the people.
2 Mas diziam: "Não durante a festa, para que não haja tumulto entre o povo".
3 And when he was at Bethania in the house of Shemun the leper, as he reclined, there came a woman who had with her a vase of the balsam of the choicest nard of great prices; and she opened it, and poured it upon the head of Jeshu.
3 Estando Jesus em Betânia, reclinado à mesa na casa de um homem conhecido como Simão, o leproso, aproximou-se dele certa mulher com um frasco de alabastro contendo um perfume muito caro, feito de nardo puro. Ela quebrou o frasco e derramou o perfume sobre a cabeça de Jesus.
4 But there were men of the disciples who were displeased among themselves, and said, Why make destruction of this balsam?
4 Alguns dos presentes começaram a dizer uns aos outros, indignados: "Por que este desperdício de perfume?
5 for it could have been sold for more than three hundred dinoreen, and given to the poor. And they were angry with her.
5 Ele poderia ser vendido por trezentos denários, e o dinheiro dado aos pobres". E a repreendiam severamente.
6 But he, Jeshu, said, Let her alone; why do you trouble her? A good work hath she wrought upon me.
6 "Deixem-na em paz", disse Jesus. "Por que a estão perturbando? Ela praticou uma boa ação para comigo.
7 For in all time you have the poor with you, and, when you will, you can do them good; but I am not at all time with you.
7 Pois os pobres vocês sempre terão consigo, e poderão ajudá-los sempre que o desejarem. Mas a mim vocês nem sempre terão.
8 (With) that which was hers she hath done this, and beforehand as for the funeral she hath anointed my body.
8 Ela fez o que pôde. Derramou o perfume em meu corpo antecipadamente, preparando-o para o sepultamento.
9 And Amen I say to you, That wheresoever my gospel shall be preached in the whole world, this also which she hath now done shall be told in memorial of her.
9 Eu lhes asseguro que onde quer que o evangelho for anunciado, em todo o mundo, também o que ela fez será contado em sua memória".
10 But Jihuda Scarjuta, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray Jeshu to them:
10 Então Judas Iscariotes, um dos Doze, dirigiu-se aos chefes dos sacerdotes a fim de lhes entregar Jesus.
11 and they when they had heard rejoiced, and promised silver to give him. And he sought to him opportunity to betray him.
11 A proposta muito os alegrou, e lhe prometeram dinheiro. Assim, ele procurava uma oportunidade para entregá-lo.
12 And the first day of the unleavened bread, in which the Jihudoyee sacrifice the Petscha, the disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go to prepare for thee to eat the Petscha?
12 No primeiro dia da festa dos pães sem fermento, quando se costumava sacrificar o cordeiro pascal, os discípulos de Jesus lhe perguntaram: "Aonde queres que vamos e te preparemos a refeição da Páscoa? "
13 And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, Go to the city, and, observe, a man meeteth you bearing a vessel of waters. Go after him;
13 Então ele enviou dois de seus discípulos, dizendo-lhes: "Entrem na cidade, e um homem carregando um pote de água virá ao encontro de vocês. Sigam-no
14 and when he hath entered, say to the house-lord, Our Master saith, Where is the place of feasting, where I can eat with my disciples the Petscha?
14 e digam ao dono da casa em que ele entrar: ‘O Mestre pergunta: Onde é o meu salão de hóspedes, no qual poderei comer a Páscoa com meus discípulos? ’
15 And, behold, he showeth you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
15 Ele lhes mostrará uma ampla sala no andar superior, mobiliada e pronta. Façam ali os preparativos para nós".
16 And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had told them: and they prepared the Petscha.
16 Os discípulos se retiraram, entraram na cidade e encontraram tudo como Jesus lhes tinha dito. E prepararam a Páscoa.
17 And when it was evening he came with his twelve.
17 Ao anoitecer, Jesus chegou com os Doze.
18 And as they reclined and ate, Jeshu said to them, Amen I tell you, That one of you who eateth with me shall betray me.
18 Quando estavam comendo, reclinados à mesa, Jesus disse: "Digo-lhes que certamente um de vocês me trairá, alguém que está comendo comigo".
19 But they began to be sad, and said to him one, one, Is it I?
19 Eles ficaram tristes e, um por um, lhe disseram: "Com certeza não sou eu! "
20 But he said to them, One of the twelve who dippeth with me in the dish.
20 Afirmou Jesus: "É um dos Doze, alguém que come comigo do mesmo prato.
21 And the Son of man goeth, as it is written concerning him; but woe to that man by whom is betrayed the Son of man! It had been better for that man if he had not been born.
21 O Filho do homem vai, como está escrito a seu respeito. Mas ai daquele que trai o Filho do homem! Melhor lhe seria não haver nascido".
22 And while they were eating, Jeshu took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them, and said to them, Take; this is my body.
22 Enquanto comiam, Jesus tomou o pão, deu graças, partiu-o, e o deu aos discípulos, dizendo: "Tomem; isto é o meu corpo".
23 And he took the cup, and praised and blessed, and gave to them; and they drank of it, all of them.
23 Em seguida tomou o cálice, deu graças, ofereceu-o aos discípulos, e todos beberam.
24 And he said to them, This is my blood of the new Covenant, which for many is shed.
24 E lhes disse: "Isto é o meu sangue da aliança, que é derramado em favor de muitos.
25 Amen I say to you, That again I will not drink from the fruit of the vine till that day in which I will drink it newly in the kingdom of Aloha.
25 Eu lhes afirmo que não beberei outra vez do fruto da videira, até aquele dia em que beberei o vinho novo no Reino de Deus".
26 And they praised, and went forth to the mount of Olives.
26 Depois de terem cantado um hino, saíram para o monte das Oliveiras.
27 AND Jeshu said to them, All of you will be offended with me in this night: for it is written, I will strike the Shepherd, and scattered shall be his sheep.
27 Disse-lhes Jesus: "Vocês todos me abandonarão. Pois está escrito: ‘Ferirei o pastor, e as ovelhas serão dispersas’.
28 But when I have arisen, I go before you into Galila.
28 Mas, depois de ressuscitar, irei adiante de vocês para a Galiléia".
29 Kipha saith to him, If all shall be offended with thee, yet I (will) not.
29 Pedro declarou: "Ainda que todos te abandonem, eu não te abandonarei! "
30 Jeshu saith to him, Amen I tell thee, That thou, to-day, in this (very) night, before the cock shall crow, three times wilt deny me.
30 Respondeu Jesus: "Asseguro-lhe que ainda hoje, esta noite, antes que duas vezes cante o galo, três vezes você me negará".
31 But he the more said, If I shall die with thee, I will not deny thee, my Lord. And so also all of the disciples said.
31 Mas Pedro insistia ainda mais: "Mesmo que seja preciso que eu morra contigo, nunca te negarei". E todos os outros disseram o mesmo.
32 And they came to the place which is called Gedsimon; and he said to his disciples, Sit here until I have prayed.
32 Então foram para um lugar chamado Getsêmani, e Jesus disse aos seus discípulos: "Sentem-se aqui enquanto vou orar".
33 And he took with him Kipha and Jacub and Juchanon, and began to be sorrowful and agonized.
33 Levou consigo Pedro, Tiago e João, e começou a ficar aflito e angustiado.
34 And he said to them, My soul is afflicted unto death; wait for me here, and be watchful.
34 E lhes disse: "A minha alma está profundamente triste, numa tristeza mortal. Fiquem aqui e vigiem".
35 And he removed a little, and fell upon the earth, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
35 Indo um pouco mais adiante, prostrou-se e orava para que, se possível, fosse afastada dele aquela hora.
36 And he said, Father, my Father, thou canst (do) every thing, cause to pass from me this cup: but not my will, but thine.
36 E dizia: "Aba, Pai, tudo te é possível. Afasta de mim este cálice; contudo, não seja o que eu quero, mas sim o que tu queres".
37 And he came and found them sleeping: and he said to Kipha, Shemun, dost thou sleep? couldst thou not one hour watch?
37 Então, voltou aos seus discípulos e os encontrou dormindo. "Simão", disse ele a Pedro, "você está dormindo? Não pôde vigiar nem por uma hora?
38 Be wakeful and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit is willing and ready, but the body is infirm.
38 Vigiem e orem para que não caiam em tentação. O espírito está pronto, mas a carne é fraca. "
39 And he went again, prayed, and said that word.
39 Mais uma vez ele se afastou e orou, repetindo as mesmas palavras.
40 And he turned again, came and found them sleeping, because their eyes were made heavy, and they knew not what to say to him.
40 Quando voltou, de novo os encontrou dormindo, porque seus olhos estavam pesados. Eles não sabiam o que lhe dizer.
41 And he came three times (the third time), and said to them, Sleep on, and be at rest. The end approacheth, and the hour cometh, and, behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
41 Voltando pela terceira vez, ele lhes disse: "Vocês ainda dormem e descansam? Basta! Chegou a hora! Eis que o Filho do homem está sendo entregue nas mãos dos pecadores.
42 Arise, we will go; behold, he draweth nigh who betrayeth me.
42 Levantem-se e vamos! Aí vem aquele que me trai! "
43 And while he was speaking, Jihuda Scarjuta, one of the twelve, came, and with him a multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the Sophree and the elders.
43 Enquanto ele ainda falava, apareceu Judas, um dos Doze. Com ele estava uma multidão armada de espadas e varas, enviada pelos chefes dos sacerdotes, mestres da lei e líderes religiosos.
44 And the traitor who betrayed had given to them a sign, and said, He whom I shall kiss is He: take him carefully and lead him.
44 O traidor havia combinado um sinal com eles: "Aquele a quem eu saudar com um beijo, é ele: prendam-no e levem-no em segurança".
45 And immediately he approached, and said to him, Rabi, Rabi, and kissed him.
45 Dirigindo-se imediatamente a Jesus, Judas disse: "Mestre! ", e o beijou.
46 Then they laid on him their hands and seized him.
46 Os homens agarraram Jesus e o prenderam.
47 But one of those who stood drew a sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and took off his ear.
47 Então, um dos que estavam por perto puxou a espada e feriu o servo do sumo sacerdote, decepando-lhe a orelha.
48 But Jeshu answered and said to them, As against a robber are you come out against me, with swords and with staves to apprehend me?
48 Disse Jesus: "Estou eu chefiando alguma rebelião, para que vocês venham me prender com espadas e varas?
49 Every day with you was I teaching in the temple, and ye did not take me; but to fulfil the scriptures this is done.
49 Todos os dias eu estava com vocês, ensinando no templo, e vocês não me prenderam. Mas as Escrituras precisam ser cumpridas".
50 Then his disciples forsook him and fled.
50 Então todos o abandonaram e fugiram.
51 But a certain youth followed him, and he was covered (with) a linen cloth, naked; and they laid hold on him:
51 Um jovem, vestindo apenas um lençol de linho, estava seguindo a Jesus. Quando tentaram prendê-lo,
52 but he left the linen cloth, and escaped naked.
52 ele fugiu nu, deixando o lençol para trás.
53 And they led Jeshu to Kaiapha, chief of the priests: and were gathered together to him all the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
53 Levaram Jesus ao sumo sacerdote; e então se reuniram todos os chefes dos sacerdotes, os líderes religiosos e os mestres da lei.
54 But Shemun from afar came after him, until within the court of the chief of the priests: and he sat with the servants, and warmed (himself) at the fire.
54 Pedro o seguiu de longe até o pátio do sumo sacerdote. Sentando-se ali com os guardas, esquentava-se junto ao fogo.
55 But the chief priests and all the assembly of them sought against Jeshu testimony to put him to death, but they found not.
55 Os chefes dos sacerdotes e todo o Sinédrio estavam procurando depoimentos contra Jesus, para que pudessem condená-lo à morte, mas não encontravam nenhum.
56 For when many bore witness against him, their testimonies were not equal.
56 Muitos testemunharam falsamente contra ele, mas as declarações deles não eram coerentes.
57 But men rose up against him, witnesses of falsehood, and said,
57 Então se levantaram alguns e declararam falsamente contra ele:
58 We heard him say, I dissolve this temple which is made with hands, and in three days I build another not made with hands.
58 "Nós o ouvimos dizer: ‘Destruirei este templo feito por mãos humanas e em três dias construirei outro, não feito por mãos de homens’ ".
59 But neither so was their testimony equal.
59 Mas, nem mesmo assim, o depoimento deles era coerente.
60 And the chief of the priests arose in the midst, and questioned Jeshu, and said, Returnest thou no answer? what witness against thee these?
60 Depois o sumo sacerdote levantou-se diante deles e perguntou a Jesus: "Você não vai responder à acusação que estes lhe fazem? "
61 But Jeshu was silent, and answered him nothing. And again the chief of the priests demanded, and said, Art thou the Meshicha, the Son of the Blessed?
61 Mas Jesus permaneceu em silêncio e nada respondeu. Outra vez o sumo sacerdote lhe perguntou: "Você é o Cristo, o Filho do Deus Bendito? "
62 And he, Jeshu, said to him, I am: and you shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
62 "Sou", disse Jesus. "E vereis o Filho do homem assentado à direita do Poderoso vindo com as nuvens do céu".
63 Then the chief of the priests tore his robe, and said, Why now seek we witnesses?
63 O sumo sacerdote, rasgando as próprias vestes, perguntou: "Por que precisamos de mais testemunhas?
64 Behold, from his own lips you have heard the blasphemy: how is it seen by you? And they all judged that he was guilty of death.
64 Vocês ouviram a blasfêmia. Que acham? " Todos o julgaram digno de morte.
65 And some began to spit on his person, and they struck him on his face, and did buffet him, saying, Prophesy! and the servitors struck him upon his cheeks.
65 Então alguns começaram a cuspir nele; vendaram-lhe os olhos e, dando-lhe murros, diziam: "Profetize! " E os guardas o levaram, dando-lhe tapas.
66 And Shemun being below in the court, there came a certain damsel of the chief of the priests.
66 Estando Pedro em baixo, no pátio, uma das criadas do sumo sacerdote passou por ali.
67 She saw him as he warmed (himself), and knew him, saying to him, Thou also wast with Jeshu Natsroia.
67 Vendo Pedro a aquecer-se, olhou bem para ele e disse: "Você também estava com Jesus, o Nazareno".
68 But he denied, and said, I know not what thou sayest. And he went without into the vestibule; and the cock crew.
68 Contudo ele o negou, dizendo: "Não o conheço, nem sei do que você está falando". E saiu para o alpendre.
69 And again that damsel saw him, and she began to say to those who were standing, This man is also of them.
69 Quando a criada o viu lá, disse novamente aos que estavam por perto: "Esse aí é um deles".
70 But he again denied. And after a little while those who stood said to Kipha, Assuredly thou art from them, for thou art also a Galiloia, and thy speech is similar.
70 De novo ele negou. Pouco tempo depois, os que estavam sentados ali perto disseram a Pedro: "Certamente você é um deles. Você é galileu! "
71 But he began to imprecate and to swear, I know not this man of whom thou speakest. And in the hour the cock crew the second time.
71 Ele começou a se amaldiçoar e a jurar: "Não conheço o homem de quem vocês estão falando! "
72 And Shemun remembered the word that Jeshu had spoken to him, That before the cock should crow twice, three times thou shalt deny me. And he began to weep.
72 E logo o galo cantou pela segunda vez. Então Pedro se lembrou da palavra que Jesus lhe tinha dito: "Antes que duas vezes cante o galo, você me negará três vezes". E se pôs a chorar.
