1 Let us fear, therefore, lest, while there is a confirmed promise of an entrance into his rest, any one shall be found among you remaining from entering in.
1 Visto que nos foi deixada a promessa de entrarmos no descanso de Deus, temamos que algum de vocês pense que tenha falhado.
2 For we have been evangelized as well as they: but the word which they heard did not profit them, because not contempered with faith in them who heard it.
2 Pois as boas novas foram pregadas também a nós, tanto quanto a eles; mas a mensagem que eles ouviram de nada lhes valeu, pois não foi acompanhada de fé por aqueles que a ouviram.
3 But we enter into the rest, we (being of) those (who) have believed. But as He hath said, So I sware in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest: for, behold, the works of Aloha from the beginning of the world were.
3 Pois nós, os que cremos, é que entramos naquele descanso, conforme Deus disse: "Assim jurei na minha ira: Jamais entrarão no meu descanso" — embora as suas obras estivessem concluídas desde a criação do mundo.
4 As he said concerning the shabath, God rested on the seventh day from all his works.
4 Pois em certo lugar ele falou sobre o sétimo dia, nestas palavras: "No sétimo dia Deus descansou de toda obra que realizara".
5 Yet here again he saith, They shall not enter into my rest.
5 E de novo, na passagem citada há pouco, diz: "Jamais entrarão no meu descanso".
6 Therefore, because there was a place into which every one of them might have entered, and they who had it announced first did not enter in, forasmuch as they would not be persuaded;
6 Entretanto, resta entrarem alguns naquele descanso, e aqueles a quem anteriormente as boas novas foram pregadas não entraram, por causa da desobediência.
7 ---moreover, (as) another day he appointeth, after much time; as above it is written, that David hath said, To-day if his voice ye will hear, harden not your hearts;
7 Por isso Deus estabelece outra vez um determinado dia, chamando-o "hoje", ao declarar muito tempo depois, por meio de Davi, de acordo com o que fora dito antes: "Se hoje vocês ouvirem a sua voz, não endureçam o coração".
8 ---but if Jeshu-bar-Nun had established them in rest, he not have spoken afterwards of another day:
8 Porque, se Josué lhes tivesse dado descanso, Deus não teria falado posteriormente a respeito de outro dia.
9 ---Therefore, yet to enjoy a shabathism is confirmed to the people of Aloha.
9 Assim, ainda resta um descanso sabático para o povo de Deus;
10 For he who is entered into his rest hath also reposed himself from his works, as Aloha (did) from his.
10 pois todo aquele que entra no descanso de Deus, também descansa das suas obras, como Deus descansou das suas.
11 Let us, therefore, anxiously endeavour to enter into that rest, that we fall not after the manner of those who were not persuaded.
11 Portanto, esforcemo-nos por entrar nesse descanso, para que ninguém venha a cair, seguindo aquele exemplo de desobediência.
12 For living is the Word of Aloha, and all-acting, and more penetrating than a two-edged sword, and entereth to the separation of the soul and the spirit, and of the joints, and of the marrow, and the bones, and discerneth the reasonings and counsel of the heart.
12 Pois a palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, e mais afiada que qualquer espada de dois gumes; ela penetra ao ponto de dividir alma e espírito, juntas e medulas, e julga os pensamentos e intenções do coração.
13 Neither is there any creature that is concealed from before him; but every thing (is) naked and manifest before his eyes, to whom they shall give account .
13 Nada, em toda a criação, está oculto aos olhos de Deus. Tudo está descoberto e exposto diante dos olhos daquele a quem havemos de prestar contas.
14 Therefore having such a great High Priest, Jeshu Meshiha, the Son of Aloha, who hath ascended to heaven, let us persevere in the confession of him.
14 Portanto, visto que temos um grande sumo sacerdote que adentrou os céus, Jesus, o Filho de Deus, apeguemo-nos com toda a firmeza à fé que professamos,
15 For we have not an high priest who cannot suffer along with our infirmity, but (one) who, tempted in every thing as we, (was) separate from sin.
15 pois não temos um sumo sacerdote que não possa compadecer-se das nossas fraquezas, mas sim alguém que, como nós, passou por todo tipo de tentação, porém, sem pecado.
16 Let us therefore approach with confidence to the throne of his grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for help in the time of affliction.
16 Assim sendo, aproximemo-nos do trono da graça com toda a confiança, a fim de recebermos misericórdia e encontrarmos graça que nos ajude no momento da necessidade.
