Atos 10
The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs AAI
1 BUT in Cesarea was a certain man, a centurion, whose name was Cornelius, of the cohort which was called the Italic.
1 Caesarea imaim orot wabin Cornelius Rome baiyowayah hai orot ukwarin baiyow ana kou’ay wabin Italian Regiment.
2 And he was just, and feared Aloha, he and all his house: he did much alms among the people, and in all time prayed of Aloha.
2 Cornelius i God ana orot ta, i ana nibur tutufin etei God hikwakwafir, baibais gagamin maiyow yababan wairafih bitih, naatu mar etei God isan yoyoyoban. Cornelius eyoyoyoban|alt="Cornelius praying" src="cn01943B.tif" size="col" loc="Act 10.2" copy="©1978 David C. Cook Publishing Co." ref="10.2"
3 This saw an angel of Aloha in a vision manifestly about the ninth hour of the day, who came in to him, and said to him, Cornelius!
3 Veya ta rabirab three korok na’atube matan hibora’ah God ana tounamatar na run wabin su’ub eo, “Cornelius!”
4 And he beheld him, and feared, and said, What, my Lord? And the angel said to him, Thy prayers and thy alms have ascended for a memorial before Aloha.
4 Cornelius matan takiyat itinkikin erebirubir auman eo, “Regah abisa kukokok?”
5 And now send men to Joppa the city, and bring Shemun who is called Kipha:
5 Imih boun orot afa iniyafarih hinan Joppa orot Simon, wabin ta Peter, i hinanawiy bairi hinan.
6 behold, he sojourneth in the house of Shemun the tanner, which is hard by the sea.
6 Simon bobaituw kanabihimaim sawar yumatah ta ta sakirayan i ana baremaim bairi tema’am, ana bar tor rewan ebatabat.”
7 And when the angel who had spoken with him had gone, he called two from the sons of his house, and a certain soldier who feared Aloha (and) who was obedient to him;
7 Basit tounamatar hairi hio inan ufut, Cornelius ana bowayah orot rou’ab naatu baiyowayah orot ta’imon e’af ayuwih. Iti baiyowayan orot auman i God ana orot, Cornelius biyan ana tafafarayan orot.
8 and he made known to them every thing he had seen, and sent them to Joppa.
8 Sawar etei himamatar na’atube hai tur eowen, basit iyafarih hin Joppa hitit.
9 AND the day after while they went on the way, and drew nigh to the city, Shemun ascended to the roof to pray, at the sixth hour.
9 Mar to orot efamaim hina Joppa hibiyubin auman, Peter auyit yen in bar tafan yoyoban isan.
10 And he hungered, and desired to eat: and while they were preparing for him, there fell upon him an entrancement,
10 Basit bayumih morob ana kok i bay taa, bay hibogaigiwas bifotamih i matan taratan.
11 and he saw the heavens opened, and a certain vessel bound at the four corners, and like to a great sheet, and it was let down from heaven upon the earth:
11 Mar botawiy naatu sawar ta rar gagamin na’atube umasusun kwafe’en hikuhamihamiy re me yan titit itin.
12 and in it were all animals of four feet, and reptiles of the earth, and fowls of the heaven.
12 Nati wanawanan for yumatah ta ta, kok uma’ar, gabunam, naatu kutor mamu. Peter matan hibora’ah masanuw kakafih biyah gubagug auman itah|alt="Peter’s vision" src="cn01945B.tif" size="col" loc="Act 10.12" copy="©1978 David C. Cook Publishing Co." ref="10.12"
13 And a voice came to him, which said, Shemun, arise, slay, and eat.
13 Orot fanan nowar eo, “Peter kumisir iti sawar kurouw ku’aa.”
14 And Shemun said, Not so, my Lord: for never have I eaten any thing that is profane and unclean.
14 Baise Peter iya’afut eo, “Men karam Regah, ayu men kafai sawar iti na’atube karitanih eregubagub auman aa’umih.”
15 And again the second time was to him, Those (things) which Aloha cleanseth make not thou profane.
15 Orot fanan iban bairou’abin e’af maiye, “Sawar abisa God eorereb gewasin rarouw men o a notamaim kakafin inarouw inao.”
16 This was three times done: and the vessel was elevated to heaven.
16 Sawar iti na’atube mar tounu matar, imaibo naniyan meyemeye sawar matabir maiye yen mar run.
17 And while Shemun wondered in himself for what (was) the vision he had seen, those men came who had been sent by Cornelius, and inquired for the house where Shemun sojourned, and they came and stood at the gate of the court.
17 Peter matan hibora’ah sawar iti i’itin anayabin so’ob isan kasiy ma binotanot, orot Cornelius iyafarih hinan bar hitita’ur hina fur awan hibat.
18 And they called there, and inquired, whether Shemun who was called Kipha there sojourned.
18 Hi’afariy hibatiyih hio, “Orot wabin Simon Peter iti a baremaim ema’am?”
19 And while Shemun thought on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men seek thee:
19 Peter matan hibobora’ah isan boro’ika ma binotanot, Anun Kakafiyin iu eo, “Simon, orot nah tounu o tenunuwihi.
20 arise, descend and go with them, not being divided in thy mind: for I have sent them.
20 Imih kumisir kura’iy bar baban, men a inakutan baise bairi kwanan, anayabin ayu aiyafarih hina.”
21 Then Shemun descended to those men, and said to them, I am he whom you seek: what is the occasion on which you have come?
21 Peter misir ra’iy naatu iuwih eo, “Ayu orotoban iti kwa ayu kwanunuwuhu, kwa a’an aisim kwana?”
22 They said to him, A certain man whose name is Cornelius, a centurion, who feareth Aloha, and of whom all the people of the Jihudoyee give witness, hath been told in a vision by an holy angel to send and bring thee to his house, and to hear words from thee.
22 Hiya’afut hio, “Aki i baiyowayan orot ukwarin wabin Cornelius iyafari ana. Iti orot ana yawas i gewasin, naatu God ebibiruw, Jew sabuw etei iti orot i tekakakafiy. Tounamatar kakafiyin iu, o tifefeyani itan ana bar, saise o abisa itao’o i tanowar isan.”
23 And Shemun brought them in, and received them while they tarried; and he arose the day after, and went forth, and proceeded with them; and certain of the brethren of Joppa went with them.
23 Basit Peter nah tounu buwih bar hirun bairi fai ta’imon hi’in.
24 And the next day they entered Cesarea: but Cornelius was waiting for them, while all the sons of his family, and the friends and beloved ones whom he had, were assembled with him.
24 Veya baitonin hina Caesarea hitit. Cornelius i ma matan ef i’itin, taintuwan afa e’af ayuwih hina ana baremaim bairi hima Peter hikakaif.
25 AND when Shemun entered Cornelius met him, and fell and worshipped at his feet.
25 Peter na bar rur ana maramaim, Cornelius nanamaim sun yowen kwafir re.
26 And Shemun raised him, and said to him, Arise, I also am a man.
26 Baise Peter imisiruw eo, “Kumisir ayu i orot o na’atube.”
27 And while speaking with him he entered, and found many who had come thither.
27 Peter tur busuruf auman Cornelius hairi hirun hin bar wanawanan hitit naatu sabuw kou’ay gagamin na’in hima’am kouh yen.
28 And he said to them, You know that it is not lawful for a man a Jihudoya to attach to a foreign man who is not a son of his tribe. But me hath Aloha showed that I should not declare any man unclean or profane.
28 Iuwih eo, “Kwa etei kwaso’ob Jew hai ofafar men ebibasit boro Ufun Sabuw atinanawani bairi tatitayo’ay. Baise God i’obaiyu aitin ayu men orot ta biyan karitanin o gubagub anarouw anao.
29 Wherefore I the more diligently came when you sent for me. But I ask you, on what account you have sent for me?
29 Imih ayu isou tur kwabiyafar, ayu men erekwahir auman anamih. Ayu kwa abibatiy, aisim ayu isou tur kwaiyafar ana?”
30 And Cornelius said to him, Four days are unto this from when, behold, I am fasting; and at nine hours, while praying in my house, a certain man stood before me clothed in white.
30 Cornelius iya’afut eo, “Veya kwafe’en na’atube sawaraka, veya three korok na’atube rabirab au baremaim ayoyoyoban, naniyan meyemeye orot ana faifuw kwes nau’umaim bat eo,
31 And he said to me, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thy alms have made memorial before Aloha.
31 ‘Cornelius, ayoyoban God nowar naatu a siwar sabuw yababan wairafih ibitih imaim ana not kusib.
32 But send to Joppa the city, and bring Shemun who is called Kipha; behold, he abideth in the house of Shemun a tanner, which is by the sea;
32 ‘Orot ta kwiyafar en Joppa imaim orot wabin Simon wabin ta Peter i Simon bobaituw kanabihimaim sawar ta ta sakirayan ana bar tor rewanamaim ema’am biyan etit.’
33 and he will come and speak with thee. And immediately I sent to thee, and thou hast well done to have come. And, behold, we are all before thee, and desire to hear every thing that hath been commanded thee by Aloha.
33 Imih o isa tur saisewat aiyafar, naatu gewasin maiyow o ina itit, naatu aki etei God nanamaim Regah sawar etei eo biyuni nowaramih ama akakaif.”
34 BUT Shemun opened his mouth, and said, In truth I comprehend that Aloha is no respecter of persons:
34 Imaibo Peter busuruf binan eo, “Ayu bounabo aso’ob, God men orot babin ta’imon itin yan ebaibimih.
35 but in all nations whoever feareth him and worketh righteousness is accepted of him.
35 Baise orot menan ta ta iyab i tibibiruw naatu abisa gewasin tisisinaf.
36 For (this is) the word which he hath sent to the sons of Israel, and hath announced to them peace and repose through Jeshu Meshiha,-this is the Lord of all.
36 Tur God iyafar na Israel biyah titit i etei kwaso’ob, iti tur gewasin i tufuw Jesu Keriso wanawanamaim ema’am. It etei ata Regah.
37 And you also know by the word which hath been in all Jihud (which began) from Galila after the baptism which Juhanon preached,
37 Naatu kwaso’ob sawar abisa Judea wanawanan mamatar, John bapataito isan bibinan ufunamaim iti sawar i Galilee imaim busuruf.
38 concerning Jeshu who was of Natsrath, whom Aloha anointed with the Spirit of Holiness and with power: he who went about and healed those who were worn out with evil, because Aloha was with him.
38 Mi’itube Anun Kakafiyinamaim God Jesu Nazareth matuwan tafan eof nowah naatu fair tafan bisuwai i kwaso’ob. Naatu ana bowabow mi’itube run tit bow yawas gewasin sinaf, sabuw iyab afiy hai fairamaim hima’am etei biyawasih auman i kwaso’ob, anayabin God i hairi hima’am.
39 And we are his witnesses of all which he did in the land of Jihud and of Urishlem. This (one) himself did the Jihudoyee hang upon the tree and kill;
39 Sawar abisa Jew hai me yan naatu Jerusalemamaim sisinaf etei i aki a’itah sif arurubon. Naatu onaf afe’enamaim hikubar momorob auman i aki aso’ob.
40 and him did Aloha raise up on the third day, and gave him to be seen openly;
40 Baise veya tounu ufunamaim God morobone bora’ah maiye naatu iwa’an tit irerereb sabuw hi’itin.
41 yet not to all the people, but to us who by Aloha were chosen to be unto him the witnesses, who ate with him and drank after his resurrection from among the dead.
41 Men sabuw etei hi’itin, baise sabuw iyab God rurubinihiwat, nati i aki iyab morobone mimisir maiye ufunamaim bairi a’aa atomatomawat.
42 And he commanded us to preach and to testify to the people that this is he who hath been separated by Aloha (to be) the Judge of the living and of the dead.
42 Naatu eobaiyuni tur gewasin sabuw etei isah ana binan hai tur ana’owen Jesu i God Rubin sabuw yawayawasih naatu murumurubih baibabatiyih isan.
43 And of him all the prophets testify, that whoever believeth in his name shall receive remission of sins.
43 Dinab orot etei isan hibinan hio sabuw iyab i wabinamaim hinabitumatum boro hai bowabow kakafih nanotawiyen.”
44 And while Shemun spake these words the Spirit of Holiness overspread all who heard the word.
44 Peter iti na’atube bat eo inan wanawanan Anun Kakafiyin ra’iy sabuw iyab hima tur hinonowar tar gabuwih.
45 And the circumcised brethren who had come with him were astonished and amazed, because upon the Gentiles also the gift of the Spirit of Holiness was poured out.
45 Jew baitumatumayah afa Peter bairi Joppa’ane hinan hifofofor men kafaita. God ana usar Anun Kakafiyin Ufun Sabuw auman tafahimaim isuwai re’ere isan.
46 For they heard them speaking with tongues; and they magnified Aloha. And Shemun said,
46 Naatu sabuw menah botabir tur ta ta hio God hibora’ara’ah.
47 Can any one forbid waters that they should not be baptized, they who, behold, have received the Spirit of Holiness as well as we?
47 “Iti sabuw boro yait harewamaim bapataito bain isan na’otanih? Anayabin Anun Kakafiyin it tabaib na’atube i auman hibaika.
48 Then he commanded them to be baptized in the name of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha. And they prayed of him to remain with them (certain) days.
48 Basit iuwih Jesu Keriso wabinamaim bapataito hibai, naatu Peter veya bai’ab na’atube bairi ma isan hifefeyan nati’imaim bairi hima.
