1 THE presbyter to the elect Kuria and to her sons, whom I love in truth, nor I only, but all they who know the truth,
1 Eu, o presbítero, escrevo à senhora escolhida e a seus filhos, a quem amo na verdade, como fazem todos os que conhecem a verdade,
2 on account of the truth which abideth in us, and is with us for ever;
2 porque a verdade permanece em nós e estará conosco para sempre.
3 Grace be with you and mercy and peace, from Aloha the Father, and from Jeshu Meshiha the Son of the Father, in truth and in love.
3 Graça, misericórdia e paz que vêm de Deus, o Pai, e de Jesus Cristo, o Filho do Pai, estarão conosco, os que vivemos na verdade e no amor.
4 I have rejoiced much to have found of thy sons who walk in the truth, after the commandment we have received from the Father.
4 Fiquei muito feliz por encontrar alguns de seus filhos e ver que estão vivendo de acordo com a verdade, conforme o Pai ordenou.
5 And now I entreat thee, Kuria,-no new commandment writing to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning,-that we love one another.
5 Agora, senhora, peço-lhe que amemos uns aos outros. Não se trata de um novo mandamento; nós o temos desde o princípio.
6 And this is love, that we walk according to the commandment; this commandment is according to that which you have heard from the beginning, that in it we should walk.
6 O amor consiste em fazer o que Deus nos ordenou, e ele ordenou que amemos uns aos outros, como vocês ouviram desde o princípio.
7 Because many deceivers are come out into the world who confess not that Jeshu Meshiha came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and antichrist.
7 Digo isso porque muitos enganadores têm ido pelo mundo afora, negando que Jesus Cristo veio em corpo humano. Quem age assim é o enganador e o anticristo.
8 Be watchful of yourselves, that not any thing perish which you have wrought; but (that with) a complete reward you may be recompensed.
8 Tenham cuidado para não perder aquilo que nos esforçamos tanto para conseguir. Sejam diligentes a fim de receber a recompensa completa.
9 Every one who transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of the Meshiha, hath not Aloha. He who abideth in his doctrine, this hath both the Father and the Son.
9 Quem se desvia deste ensino não tem ligação alguma com Deus, mas quem permanece no ensino de Cristo tem ligação com o Pai e também com o Filho.
10 If any one come to you, and this doctrine bring not, receive him not into the house, and "Joy to you," and " Farewell," say not to him.
10 Se alguém for a suas reuniões e não ensinar a verdade de Cristo, não o convidem a entrar em sua casa, nem lhe deem nenhum tipo de apoio.
11 For he who saith to him, " Farewell," becometh a participator of his evil deeds.
11 Quem apoia esse tipo de pessoa torna-se cúmplice de suas obras malignas.
12 Though I have many things to write to you, I will not with parchment and ink; but I hope to come to you, and mouth with mouth to speak, that our joy may be complete.
12 Tenho muito mais a lhes dizer, mas não quero fazê-lo com papel e tinta, pois espero visitá-los em breve e conversar com vocês pessoalmente. Então nossa alegria será completa.
13 The sons of thy elect sister ask your peace. Grace be with you. Amen.
13 Saudações dos filhos de sua irmã escolhida.
