1 WHOSOEVER believeth that Jeshu is the Meshiha of Aloha is born. And every one who loveth the Generator loveth also him who is generated of him.
1 Todo aquele que crê que Jesus é o Cristo é nascido de Deus. E todo aquele que ama o Pai também ama os filhos dele.
2 And by this we know that we love the children of Aloha, when we love Aloha, and work his commandments.
2 Sabemos que amamos os filhos de Deus se amamos a Deus e obedecemos a seus mandamentos.
3 For this is the love of Aloha, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not heavy.
3 Amar a Deus significa obedecer a seus mandamentos. E seus mandamentos não são difíceis.
4 Because every one who is born of Aloha overcometh the world: and this is the victory which overcometh the world, our faith.
4 Pois todo aquele que é nascido de Deus vence este mundo, e obtemos essa vitória pela fé.
5 For who (is he) that overcometh the world, but he who believeth that Jeshu is the Son of Aloha?
5 Quem vence a batalha contra o mundo? Somente quem crê que Jesus é o Filho de Deus.
6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jeshu the Meshiha: it was not by water only, but by water and blood; and the Spirit testifieth, because the Spirit himself is truth.
6 Jesus Cristo foi revelado por meio de seu batismo na água e pelo derramamento de seu sangue; não só por meio da água, mas pela água e pelo sangue. E o Espírito, que é a verdade, o confirma com seu testemunho.
7 And there are three that testify, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood;
7 Temos, portanto, três testemunhas,
8 and these three are in one.
8 o Espírito, a água e o sangue, e as três concordam entre si.
9 If the testimony of men we receive, how much greater is the testimony of Aloha? and this is the testimony which Aloha hath testified concerning his Son.
9 Porque cremos em testemunho humano, certamente podemos crer no testemunho de Deus, que tem ainda mais valor. E Deus dá testemunho acerca de seu Filho.
10 Whosoever believeth in the Son of Aloha hath this testimony in himself. Every one who believeth not Aloha hath made him a liar, in not believing the testimony that he hath testified concerning his Son.
10 Quem crê no Filho de Deus sabe, em seu coração, que esse testemunho é verdadeiro. Quem não crê nisso, na realidade, chama Deus de mentiroso, porque não crê no testemunho de Deus acerca de seu Filho.
11 And this is the testimony, That the life which is eternal, Aloha hath given to us, and this life is in his Son.
11 E este é o testemunho: Deus nos deu vida eterna, e essa vida está em seu Filho.
12 Every one who apprehendeth the Son, apprehendeth also life; and every one who apprehendeth not the Son of Aloha, hath not life.
12 Quem tem o Filho tem a vida; quem não tem o Filho de Deus não tem a vida.
13 These I have written to you, that you may know that you have the life which is eternal, who believe in the name of the Son of Aloha.
13 Escrevi estas coisas a vocês que creem no nome do Filho de Deus para que saibam que têm a vida eterna.
14 And this is the assurance that we have toward him, that all that we ask of him according to his will, he heareth us.
14 Estamos certos de que ele nos ouve sempre que lhe pedimos algo conforme sua vontade.
15 And if we are persuaded that he heareth us concerning what we ask from him, we are confident of receiving already the requests that we ask from him.
15 E, uma vez que sabemos que ele ouve nossos pedidos, também sabemos que ele nos dará o que pedimos.
16 if a man shall see his brother sin a sin not obnoxious to the death, he shall ask, and life be given to him, to those who sin not as unto the death. For there is the sin of death;-it is not concerning this I say that a man shall pray.
16 Se alguém vir um irmão cometer pecado que não leva à morte, ore por ele, e Deus dará vida a esse irmão que pecou de maneira que não leva à morte. Mas há pecado que leva à morte, e não digo que se deva orar por aqueles que o cometem.
17 For all iniquity is sin; and there is sin which is not of death.
17 Toda injustiça é pecado, mas nem todo pecado leva à morte.
18 And we know that every one who is born of Aloha sinneth not. For he who is born of Aloha keepeth himself, and the Evil doth not approach him.
18 Sabemos que os nascidos de Deus não vivem no pecado, pois o Filho de Deus os protege e o maligno não os toca.
19 We know that we are of Aloha, and the whole world in the Evil is lying.
19 Sabemos que somos filhos de Deus e que o mundo inteiro está sob o controle do maligno.
20 And we know that the Son of Aloha hath come, and hath given us knowledge to know the truth, and to be in him in the truth, in his Son Jeshu the Meshiha. This is Aloha the true, and the life which is eternal.
20 E sabemos que o Filho de Deus veio e nos deu entendimento para que conheçamos ao Deus verdadeiro. Agora, vivemos em comunhão com o Deus verdadeiro, porque vivemos em comunhão com seu Filho, Jesus Cristo. Ele é o Deus verdadeiro e é a vida eterna.
21 My sons, keep yourselves from the service of idols.
21 Filhinhos, afastem-se dos ídolos.
