1 The burden of Moab. For Ar was destroyed in (the) night, Moab was still; for the wall was destroyed in the night, Moab was still. (The burden of Moab. For Ar was destroyed in the night, Moab is now silent; and for Kir was destroyed in the night, Moab is now silent.)

2 The king’s house, and Dibon ascended to high places, into wailing; on Nebo, and on Medeba, Moab shall yell. In all heads thereof shall be baldness, and each beard shall be shaved. (The daughter, \+em or the people\+em*, of Dibon go up to the hill \+em shrines\+em* to weep; Moab shall yell, \+em or shall wail\+em*, about Nebo, and about Medeba. On all their heads \+em shall be\+em* baldness, and each beard shall be shaved.)
2 Vai subindo a Bajite, e a Dibom, aos lugares altos, para chorar; por Nebo e por Medeba clamará Moabe; todas as cabeças ficarão calvas, e toda a barba será rapada.
3 In the meeting of three ways thereof they be girded in a sackcloth, all yelling on the houses thereof, and in the streets thereof; it shall go down into weeping (or they shall go down weeping).
3 Cingiram-se de sacos nas suas ruas; nos seus terraços e nas suas praças todos andam gritando, e choram abundantemente.
4 Heshbon shall cry (out), and Elealeh, (and) the voice of them is heard till to Jahaz (or and their voice is heard unto Jahaz); on this thing the ready men of Moab shall yell (with fear), the soul thereof shall yell to itself (in fear).
4 Assim Hesbom como Eleale, andam gritando; até Jaaz se ouve a sua voz; por isso os armados de Moabe clamam; a sua alma lhes será penosa.
5 Mine heart shall cry to Moab, the bars thereof till to Zoar, a cow calf of three years, (or My heart shall cry out for Moab, for its barons, \+em or its nobles\+em*, have fled unto Zoar, and unto Eglath Shelishiyah). For why a weeper shall go up by the going up of Luhith, and in the way of Horonaim they shall raise (up a) cry of sorrow.
5 O meu coração clama por causa de Moabe; os seus fugitivos foram até Zoar, como uma novilha de três anos; porque vão chorando pela subida de Luíte, porque no caminho de Horonaim levantam um lastimoso pranto.
6 For why the waters of Nimrim shall be forsaken; for the herb dried up, burgeoning failed, all greenness perished. (For the waters of Nimrim shall dry up; and the herbs shall dry up, and the burgeoning shall fail, and all greenness shall perish.)
6 Porque as águas de Ninrim serão pura assolação; porque já secou o feno, acabou a erva, e não há verdura alguma.
7 By the greatness of work, and the visiting of them, to the strand of sallows they shall lead them. (And they shall carry their abundance, and all that they possess, over the Stream, \+em or the Valley\+em*, of the Willows.)
7 Por isso a abundância que ajuntaram, e o que guardaram, ao ribeiro dos salgueiros o levarão.
8 For why (their) cry compassed the end of Moab; till to Eglaim the yelling thereof, and the cry thereof till to the well of Elim. (For their cry went about unto the end of Moab; their yelling unto Eglaim, and their cry unto Beerelim.)
8 Porque o pranto rodeará aos limites de Moabe; até Eglaim chegará o seu clamor, e ainda até Beer-Elim chegará o seu lamento.
9 For the waters of Dimon be filled with blood; for I shall set increasings on Dimon, to those men of Moab that fled from the lion, and to the remnants of the land. (And the waters of Dimon be filled with blood; and I shall put more troubles upon Dimon, yea, \+em I shall send\+em* lions upon those people who fled from Moab, and upon the remnants of the land.)
9 Porquanto as águas de Dimom estão cheias de sangue, porque ainda acrescentarei mais a Dimom; leões contra aqueles que escaparem de Moabe e contra o restante da terra.
