2 Mas ele respondeu, e disse-lhes: Ao cair da tarde, dizeis: Haverá bom tempo, porque o céu está rubro.

6 E Jesus lhes disse: Olhai, e acautelai-vos do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.

7 Pelo que eles arrazoavam entre si, dizendo: É porque não trouxemos pão.

11 Como não compreendeis que não nos falei a respeito de pães? Mas guardai-vos do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.

12 Então entenderam que não dissera que se guardassem, do fermento dos pães, mas da doutrina dos fariseus e dos saduceus.

13 Tendo Jesus chegado às regiões de Cesaréia de Felipe, interrogou os seus discípulos, dizendo: Quem dizem os homens ser o Filho do homem?
14 They|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", “Some|strong="G3588" say|strong="G3004" John|strong="G2491" the|strong="G1161" Baptist, others|strong="G2087" say|strong="G3004" Elijah|strong="G2243", and|strong="G1161" others|strong="G2087" say|strong="G3004" that|strong="G3588" yoʋ are|strong="G3588" Jeremiah|strong="G2408" or|strong="G2228" one|strong="G1520" of|strong="G1520" the|strong="G1161" prophets|strong="G4396".”
14 Responderam eles: Uns dizem que é João, o Batista; outros, Elias; outros, Jeremias, ou algum dos profetas.
15 He|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" them|strong="G3004", “\+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w who|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w do|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w am|strong="G1510"\+w*?”
15 Mas vós, perguntou-lhes Jesus, quem dizeis que eu sou?
16 Simon|strong="G4613" Peter|strong="G4074" answered|strong="G3004", “Yoʋ are|strong="G1510" the|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547", the|strong="G1161" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" the|strong="G1161" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".”
16 Respondeu-lhe Simão Pedro: Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo.
17 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", “\+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1510"\+w* yoʋ, \+w Simon|strong="G4613"\+w* Bar-Jonah, \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w flesh|strong="G4561"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* blood \+w has|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* revealed \+w this|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* yoʋ, \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*.
17 Disse-lhe Jesus: Bem-aventurado és tu, Simão Barjonas, porque não foi carne e sangue que to revelou, mas meu Pai, que está nos céus.

18 Pois também eu te digo que tu és Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela;

19 dar-te-ei as chaves do reino dos céus; o que ligares, pois, na terra será ligado nos céus, e o que desligares na terra será desligado nos céus.

20 Então ordenou aos discípulos que a ninguém dissessem que ele era o Cristo.

21 Desde então começou Jesus Cristo a mostrar aos seus discípulos que era necessário que ele fosse a Jerusalém, que padecesse muitas coisas dos anciãos, dos principais sacerdotes, e dos escribas, que fosse morto, e que ao terceiro dia ressuscitasse.
22 So|strong="G2532" Peter|strong="G4074" took|strong="G4355" him|strong="G3588" aside|strong="G4355" and|strong="G2532" began to|strong="G2532" rebuke|strong="G2008" him|strong="G3588", saying|strong="G3004", “God|strong="G3004" forbid|strong="G2436", Lord|strong="G2962"! This|strong="G3778" shall|strong="G2532" certainly|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" happen|strong="G1510" to|strong="G2532" yoʋ.”
22 E Pedro, tomando-o à parte, começou a repreendê-lo, dizendo: Tenha Deus compaixão de ti, Senhor; isso de modo nenhum te acontecerá.
23 But|strong="G1161" he|strong="G1161" turned|strong="G4762" around|strong="G3694" and|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" Peter|strong="G4074", “\+w Get|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w behind|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1473"\+w*, \+w Satan|strong="G4567"\+w*! 23 Ele, porém, voltando-se, disse a Pedro: Para trás de mim, Satanás, que me serves de escândalo; porque não estás pensando nas coisas que são de Deus, mas sim nas que são dos homens.
24 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" disciples|strong="G3101", “\+w If|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w anyone|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w wants|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w one|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w of|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w disciples|strong="G3101"\+w*, \+w he|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w must|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w deny|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w*, \+w take|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w up|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w his|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w cross|strong="G4716"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w follow|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1473"\+w*.
24 Então disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: Se alguém quer vir após mim, negue-se a si mesmo, tome a sua cruz, e siga-me;

25 pois, quem quiser salvar a sua vida por amor de mim perdê-la-á; mas quem perder a sua vida por amor de mim, achá-la-á.

26 Pois que aproveita ao homem se ganhar o mundo inteiro e perder a sua vida? ou que dará o homem em troca da sua vida?

27 Porque o Filho do homem há de vir na glória de seu Pai, com os seus anjos; e então retribuirá a cada um segundo as suas obras.
