1 Então escribas e fariseus vindos de Jerusalém chegaram a Jesus e lhe perguntaram:

2 Por que os teus discípulos transgridem a tradição dos anciãos? Pois eles não lavam as mãos quando comem pão.

3 Mas ele, respondendo, disse-lhes: Por que também vós transgredis o mandamento de Deus pela vossa tradição?

4 Porque Deus ordenou, dizendo: Honra a teu pai e a tua mãe; e: Quem amaldiçoar o pai ou a mãe, deixe ele morrer de morte.

5 Mas vós dizeis: Qualquer que disser a seu pai ou a sua mãe: Isto é uma oferta, tudo quanto puder ser aproveitado de mim;

6 e não honrar a seu pai nem a sua mãe, esse estará livre. Assim invalidastes o mandamento de Deus pela vossa tradição.

7 Hipócritas, bem profetizou Isaías a vosso respeito, dizendo:

11 Não é o que entra pela boca que contamina o homem, mas o que procede da boca, isso é o que contamina o homem.

12 Então, chegando-se a ele os seus discípulos, disseram-lhe: Tu sabes que os fariseus se ofenderam ouvindo esse provérbio?
13 Jesus|strong="G3004" answered|strong="G3004", “\+w Every|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w plant|strong="G5451"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w heavenly|strong="G3770"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w has|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w planted|strong="G5452"\+w* \+w will|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w be|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w uprooted|strong="G1610"\+w*.
13 Mas ele, respondendo, disse: Toda a planta que meu Pai celeste não plantou, será arrancada.

14 Deixai-os sozinhos; eles são cegos condutores de cegos. E se um cego conduzir outro cego, ambos cairão na cova.

15 Então Pedro respondeu, e disse-lhe: Declara-nos esta parábola.

16 E Jesus disse: Estais vós também ainda sem compreender?

17 Ainda não compreendeis que tudo o que entra pela boca vai para o ventre, e é lançado fora?

18 Mas, estas coisas que saem da boca vêm do coração, e elas contaminam o homem.

19 Porque do coração procedem os maus pensamentos, assassinatos, adultérios, fornicação, furtos, falsos testemunhos e blasfêmias.
20 \+w These|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w what|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w person|strong="G3778"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w to|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w eat|strong="G2068"\+w* \+w with|strong="G5495"\+w* unwashed \+w hands|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w does|strong="G2068"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w person|strong="G3778"\+w*.”
20 São essas coisas que contaminam o homem; mas comer sem lavar as mãos não contamina o homem.
21 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" went|strong="G1831" away|strong="G1831" from|strong="G2532" there|strong="G2532" and|strong="G2532" withdrew|strong="G2424" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" district|strong="G3313" of|strong="G2532" Tyre|strong="G5184" and|strong="G2532" Sidon|strong="G4605".
21 E, partindo Jesus dali, foi para as regiões de Tiro e Sidom.
22 And|strong="G2532" behold|strong="G2400", a|strong="G2532" Canaanite|strong="G5478" woman|strong="G1135" from|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" region|strong="G3725" came|strong="G1831" and|strong="G2532" cried|strong="G2896" out|strong="G1831" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", “Have|strong="G2532" mercy|strong="G1653" on|strong="G1653" me|strong="G1473", Lord|strong="G2962", Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" David|strong="G1138"! 22 E, eis que uma mulher cananeia, vindo daquelas regiões, gritou para ele, dizendo: Tenha misericórdia de mim, ó Senhor, Filho de Davi; minha filha está severamente atormentada por um demônio.
23 But|strong="G1161" he|strong="G2532" did|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" respond to|strong="G2532" her|strong="G1438" at|strong="G1161" all|strong="G2532". So|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2532" urged him|strong="G3588", “Send her|strong="G1438" away, for|strong="G3754" she|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" crying|strong="G2896" out|strong="G2896" after|strong="G1161" us|strong="G3004".”
23 Mas ele não lhe respondeu uma palavra. E, vindo a ele os seus discípulos, pediram-lhe, dizendo: Manda-a embora, porque está gritando atrás de nós.
24 In|strong="G1519" response Jesus|strong="G3004" said|strong="G3004", “\+w I|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w was|strong="G3588"\+w* sent \+w only|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1519"\+w* lost \+w sheep|strong="G4263"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w Israel|strong="G2474"\+w*.”
24 Mas ele, respondendo, disse: Eu não fui enviado senão às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel.
25 But|strong="G1161" she|strong="G1161" came|strong="G2064" and|strong="G1161" bowed|strong="G4352" down|strong="G4352" before|strong="G4352" him|strong="G3588", saying|strong="G3004", “Lord|strong="G2962", help me|strong="G1473".”
25 Então veio ela e, adorando-o, disse: Senhor, socorre-me!

26 Ele, porém, respondeu: Não é bom tomar o pão dos filhos e lançá-lo aos cães.
27 She|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “Yes|strong="G3483", Lord|strong="G2962", yet|strong="G2532" even|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" dogs|strong="G2952" eat|strong="G2068" the|strong="G2532" crumbs|strong="G5589" that|strong="G3588" fall|strong="G4098" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" table|strong="G5132" of|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" masters|strong="G2962".”
27 E ela disse: Verdade, Senhor; ainda assim, os cães comem das migalhas que caem da mesa dos seus senhores.
28 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G3004" her|strong="G3588", “\+w O|strong="G5599"\+w* \+w woman|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w great|strong="G3173"\+w* \+w is|strong="G3588"\+w* yoʋr \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w*; \+w it|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w be|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w done|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w for|strong="G2532"\+w* yoʋ \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* yoʋ \+w wish|strong="G2309"\+w*.” And|strong="G2532" her|strong="G3588" daughter|strong="G2364" was|strong="G1096" healed|strong="G2390" from|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" hour|strong="G5610".
28 Então, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Ó mulher, grande é a tua fé! Seja isto assim como tu desejas. E sua filha ficou sã naquela mesma hora.

29 Partindo Jesus dali, aproximou-se do mar da Galileia, e, subindo a um monte, sentou-se ali.
30 Large|strong="G4183" crowds|strong="G3793" came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", having|strong="G2192" with|strong="G3326" them|strong="G3588" the|strong="G2532" lame|strong="G5560", blind|strong="G5185", mute|strong="G2974", crippled|strong="G2948", and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" others|strong="G2087". They|strong="G2532" put|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" at|strong="G3844" the|strong="G2532" feet|strong="G4228" of|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2323" them|strong="G3588".
30 E grandes multidões vieram a ele, trazendo aqueles que eram coxos, cegos, mudos, aleijados, e muitos outros, e os puseram aos pés de Jesus, e ele os curou.
31 So|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" crowds|strong="G3793" were|strong="G3588" amazed|strong="G2296" when|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" saw the|strong="G2532" mute|strong="G2974" speaking|strong="G2980", the|strong="G2532" crippled|strong="G2948" made|strong="G2316" well|strong="G2532", the|strong="G2532" lame|strong="G5560" walking|strong="G4043", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" blind|strong="G5185" seeing. And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" glorified|strong="G1392" the|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" of|strong="G2316" Israel|strong="G2474".
31 De modo que a multidão se maravilhou ao ver os mudos falando, os aleijados curados, os coxos andando, e os cegos vendo; e glorificaram ao Deus de Israel.

32 Então Jesus, chamando os seus discípulos, disse: Eu tenho compaixão da multidão, porque eles continuam comigo há três dias, e não tem o que comer; e eu não quero despedi-los em jejum, para que não desfaleçam no caminho.

33 E os seus discípulos disseram-lhe: De onde encontraremos, aqui no deserto, tantos pães para saciar tão grande multidão?

34 E Jesus disse-lhes: Quantos pães vocês têm? E eles disseram: Sete, e alguns pequenos peixes.
