1 Então chegaram a Jesus uns fariseus e escribas vindos de Jerusalém, e lhe perguntaram:

2 Por que transgridem os teus discípulos a tradição dos anciãos? pois não lavam as mãos, quando comem.

3 Ele, porém, respondendo, disse-lhes: E vós, por que transgredis o mandamento de Deus por causa da vossa tradição?

4 Pois Deus ordenou: Honra a teu pai e a tua mãe; e, Quem maldisser a seu pai ou a sua mãe, certamente morrerá.

5 Mas vós dizeis: Qualquer que disser a seu pai ou a sua mãe: O que poderias aproveitar de mim é oferta ao Senhor; esse de modo algum terá de honrar a seu pai.

6 E assim por causa da vossa tradição invalidastes a palavra de Deus.

7 Hipócritas! bem profetizou Isaias a vosso respeito, dizendo:

8 Este povo honra-me com os lábios; o seu coração, porém, está longe de mim.

9 Mas em vão me adoram, ensinando doutrinas que são preceitos de homem.

10 E, clamando a si a multidão, disse-lhes: Ouvi, e entendei:

11 Não é o que entra pela boca que contamina o homem; mas o que sai da boca, isso é o que o contamina.

12 Então os discípulos, aproximando-se dele, perguntaram-lhe: Sabes que os fariseus, ouvindo essas palavras, se escandalizaram?
13 Jesus|strong="G3004" answered|strong="G3004", “\+w Every|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w plant|strong="G5451"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w heavenly|strong="G3770"\+w* \+w Father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w has|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w planted|strong="G5452"\+w* \+w will|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w be|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w uprooted|strong="G1610"\+w*.
13 Respondeu-lhes ele: Toda planta que meu Pai celestial não plantou será arrancada.

14 Deixai-os; são guias cegos; ora, se um cego guiar outro cego, ambos cairão no barranco.

15 E Pedro, tomando a palavra, disse-lhe: Explica-nos essa parábola.

16 Respondeu Jesus: Estai vós também ainda sem entender?
17 \+w Do|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w you|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w yet|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w understand|strong="G3539"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w everything|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w goes|strong="G1531"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w mouth|strong="G4750"\+w* \+w passes|strong="G5562"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w stomach|strong="G2836"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w is|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w expelled|strong="G1544"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2532"\+w* latrine?
17 Não compreendeis que tudo o que entra pela boca desce pelo ventre, e é lançado fora?

18 Mas o que sai da boca procede do coração; e é isso o que contamina o homem.
19 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w evil|strong="G4190"\+w* \+w thoughts|strong="G1261"\+w*, \+w murder|strong="G5408"\+w*, \+w adultery|strong="G3430"\+w*, \+w fornication|strong="G4202"\+w*, \+w theft|strong="G2829"\+w*, \+w false|strong="G5577"\+w* \+w testimony|strong="G5577"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G1831"\+w* slander.
19 Porque do coração procedem os maus pensamentos, homicídios, adultérios, prostituição, furtos, falsos testemunhos e blasfêmias.
20 \+w These|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w what|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w person|strong="G3778"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w to|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w eat|strong="G2068"\+w* \+w with|strong="G5495"\+w* unwashed \+w hands|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w does|strong="G2068"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w defile|strong="G2840"\+w* \+w a|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w person|strong="G3778"\+w*.”
20 São estas as coisas que contaminam o homem; mas o comer sem lavar as mãos, isso não o contamina.
21 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" went|strong="G1831" away|strong="G1831" from|strong="G2532" there|strong="G2532" and|strong="G2532" withdrew|strong="G2424" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" district|strong="G3313" of|strong="G2532" Tyre|strong="G5184" and|strong="G2532" Sidon|strong="G4605".
21 Ora, partindo Jesus dali, retirou-se para as regiões de Tiro e Sidom.
22 And|strong="G2532" behold|strong="G2400", a|strong="G2532" Canaanite|strong="G5478" woman|strong="G1135" from|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" region|strong="G3725" came|strong="G1831" and|strong="G2532" cried|strong="G2896" out|strong="G1831" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", “Have|strong="G2532" mercy|strong="G1653" on|strong="G1653" me|strong="G1473", Lord|strong="G2962", Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" David|strong="G1138"! My|strong="G3708" daughter|strong="G2364" is|strong="G3588" severely demon-possessed|strong="G1139".”
22 E eis que uma mulher cananéia, provinda daquelas cercania, clamava, dizendo: Senhor, Filho de Davi, tem compaixão de mim, que minha filha está horrivelmente endemoninhada.
23 But|strong="G1161" he|strong="G2532" did|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" respond to|strong="G2532" her|strong="G1438" at|strong="G1161" all|strong="G2532". So|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2532" urged him|strong="G3588", “Send her|strong="G1438" away, for|strong="G3754" she|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" crying|strong="G2896" out|strong="G2896" after|strong="G1161" us|strong="G3004".”
23 Contudo ele não lhe respondeu palavra. Chegando-se, pois, a ele os seus discípulos, rogavam-lhe, dizendo: Despede-a, porque vem clamando atrás de nós.
24 In|strong="G1519" response Jesus|strong="G3004" said|strong="G3004", “\+w I|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w was|strong="G3588"\+w* sent \+w only|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1519"\+w* lost \+w sheep|strong="G4263"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w of|strong="G3624"\+w* \+w Israel|strong="G2474"\+w*.”
24 Respondeu-lhes ele: Não fui enviado senão às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel.
25 But|strong="G1161" she|strong="G1161" came|strong="G2064" and|strong="G1161" bowed|strong="G4352" down|strong="G4352" before|strong="G4352" him|strong="G3588", saying|strong="G3004", “Lord|strong="G2962", help me|strong="G1473".”
25 Então veio ela e, adorando-o, disse: Senhor, socorre-me.
26 He|strong="G2532" replied|strong="G3004", “\+w It|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w is|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w take|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5043"\+w*'s bread \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* throw \+w it|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w dogs|strong="G2952"\+w*.”
26 Ele, porém, respondeu: Não é bom tomar o pão dos filhos e lançá-lo aos cachorrinhos.
27 She|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “Yes|strong="G3483", Lord|strong="G2962", yet|strong="G2532" even|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" dogs|strong="G2952" eat|strong="G2068" the|strong="G2532" crumbs|strong="G5589" that|strong="G3588" fall|strong="G4098" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" table|strong="G5132" of|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" masters|strong="G2962".”
27 Ao que ela disse: Sim, Senhor, mas até os cachorrinhos comem das migalhas que caem da mesa dos seus donos.
28 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G3004" her|strong="G3588", “\+w O|strong="G5599"\+w* \+w woman|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w great|strong="G3173"\+w* \+w is|strong="G3588"\+w* yoʋr \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w*; \+w it|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w be|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w done|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w for|strong="G2532"\+w* yoʋ \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* yoʋ \+w wish|strong="G2309"\+w*.” And|strong="G2532" her|strong="G3588" daughter|strong="G2364" was|strong="G1096" healed|strong="G2390" from|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" hour|strong="G5610".
28 Então respondeu Jesus, e disse-lhe: ó mulher, grande é a tua fé! seja-te feito como queres. E desde aquela hora sua filha ficou sã.
29 Departing|strong="G3327" from|strong="G3844" there|strong="G1563", Jesus|strong="G2424" went|strong="G2064" along|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Sea|strong="G2281" of|strong="G2532" Galilee|strong="G1056". 29 Partindo Jesus dali, chegou ao pé do mar da Galiléia; e, subindo ao monte, sentou-se ali.
30 Large|strong="G4183" crowds|strong="G3793" came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", having|strong="G2192" with|strong="G3326" them|strong="G3588" the|strong="G2532" lame|strong="G5560", blind|strong="G5185", mute|strong="G2974", crippled|strong="G2948", and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" others|strong="G2087". They|strong="G2532" put|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" at|strong="G3844" the|strong="G2532" feet|strong="G4228" of|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2323" them|strong="G3588".
30 E vieram a ele grandes multidões, trazendo consigo coxos, aleijados, cegos, mudos, e outros muitos, e lhos puseram aos pés; e ele os curou;
31 So|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" crowds|strong="G3793" were|strong="G3588" amazed|strong="G2296" when|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" saw the|strong="G2532" mute|strong="G2974" speaking|strong="G2980", the|strong="G2532" crippled|strong="G2948" made|strong="G2316" well|strong="G2532", the|strong="G2532" lame|strong="G5560" walking|strong="G4043", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" blind|strong="G5185" seeing. And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" glorified|strong="G1392" the|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" of|strong="G2316" Israel|strong="G2474".
31 de modo que a multidão se admirou, vendo mudos a falar, aleijados a ficar sãos, coxos a andar, cegos a ver; e glorificaram ao Deus de Israel.
32 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" called|strong="G3004" his|strong="G1438" disciples|strong="G3101" over|strong="G1909" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “\+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w compassion|strong="G4697"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w crowd|strong="G3793"\+w* \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w they|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* stayed \+w with|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w now|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w three|strong="G5140"\+w* \+w days|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w nothing|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w eat|strong="G2068"\+w*. \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w do|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w want|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* send \+w them|strong="G3588"\+w* away \+w without|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w having|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w eaten|strong="G5315"\+w*, \+w lest|strong="G3379"\+w* \+w they|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w faint|strong="G1590"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w way|strong="G3598"\+w*.”
32 Jesus chamou os seus discípulos, e disse: Tenho compaixão da multidão, porque já faz três dias que eles estão comigo, e não têm o que comer; e não quero despedi-los em jejum, para que não desfaleçam no caminho.
33 His|strong="G1722" disciples|strong="G3101" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", “Where|strong="G4159" can|strong="G3004" we|strong="G2249" get|strong="G2532" so|strong="G2532" many|strong="G5118" loaves in|strong="G1722" such|strong="G5118" a|strong="G2532" desolate|strong="G2047" place|strong="G2047" to|strong="G2532" fill|strong="G2532" such|strong="G5118" a|strong="G2532" large|strong="G5118" crowd|strong="G3793"?”
33 Disseram-lhe os discípulos: Donde nos viriam num deserto tantos pães, para fartar tamanha multidão?
34 Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588", “\+w How|strong="G4214"\+w* \+w many|strong="G4214"\+w* loaves \+w do|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w you|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w*?” They|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “Seven|strong="G2033", and|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2192" few|strong="G3641" small|strong="G3641" fish|strong="G2485".”
34 Perguntou-lhes Jesus: Quantos pães tendes? E responderam: Sete, e alguns peixinhos.

35 E tendo ele ordenado ao povo que se sentasse no chão,
