1 Ainda que eu falasse as línguas dos homens e dos anjos, e não tivesse amor, seria como o metal que soa ou como o címbalo que retine.
2 Even|strong="G2532" though|strong="G1437" I|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" the|strong="G2532" gift of|strong="G2532" preaching, and|strong="G2532" fathom all|strong="G3956" hidden truths and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" the|strong="G2532" depths of|strong="G2532" knowledge|strong="G1108"; even|strong="G2532" though|strong="G1437" I|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" such|strong="G5620" faith|strong="G4102" as|strong="G1161" might|strong="G2532" move mountains|strong="G3735", yet|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3361" love, I|strong="G2532" am|strong="G1510" nothing|strong="G3762"!
2 E ainda que tivesse o dom de profecia, e conhecesse todos os mistérios e toda a ciência, e ainda que tivesse toda fé, de maneira tal que transportasse os montes, e não tivesse amor, nada seria.
3 Even|strong="G2532" though|strong="G1437" I|strong="G1473" dole my|strong="G3956" substance|strong="G4983" to|strong="G2443" the|strong="G2532" poor, even|strong="G2532" though|strong="G1437" I|strong="G1473" sacrifice my|strong="G3956" body|strong="G4983" in|strong="G2532" order|strong="G2443" to|strong="G2443" boast, yet|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3361" love, it|strong="G2532" avails me|strong="G1473" nothing|strong="G3762"!
3 E ainda que distribuísse todos os meus bens para sustento dos pobres, e ainda que entregasse o meu corpo para ser queimado, e não tivesse amor, nada disso me aproveitaria.
4 Love is|strong="G3588" long-suffering, and|strong="G3588" kind|strong="G5541"; love is|strong="G3588" never|strong="G3756" envious|strong="G2206", never|strong="G3756" boastful, never|strong="G3756" conceited, never|strong="G3756" behaves unbecomingly;
4 O amor é sofredor, é benigno; o amor não é invejoso; o amor não se vangloria, não se ensoberbece,
5 love is|strong="G3588" never|strong="G3756" self-seeking, never|strong="G3756" provoked|strong="G3947", never|strong="G3756" reckons up her|strong="G1438" wrongs;
5 não se porta inconvenientemente, não busca os seus próprios interesses, não se irrita, não suspeita mal;
6 love never|strong="G3756" rejoices|strong="G5463" at|strong="G1909" evil, but|strong="G1161" rejoices|strong="G5463" in|strong="G1909" the|strong="G1161" triumph of|strong="G1909" truth;
6 não se regozija com a injustiça, mas se regozija com a verdade;
7 love bears|strong="G4722" with|strong="G3956" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956", ever trustful, ever hopeful, ever patient|strong="G5278".
7 tudo sofre, tudo crê, tudo espera, tudo suporta.
8 Love never|strong="G3763" fails|strong="G4098". But|strong="G1161", whether|strong="G1535" it|strong="G1161" be|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1161" gift of|strong="G3588" preaching, it|strong="G1161" will|strong="G1100" end|strong="G2673"; whether|strong="G1535" it|strong="G1161" be|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1161" gift of|strong="G3588" “tongues|strong="G1100",” it|strong="G1161" will|strong="G1100" cease|strong="G3973"; whether|strong="G1535" it|strong="G1161" be|strong="G3588" knowledge|strong="G1108", it|strong="G1161", too, will|strong="G1100" vanish.
8 O amor jamais acaba; mas havendo profecias, serão aniquiladas; havendo línguas, cessarão; havendo ciência, desaparecerá;
9 For|strong="G1063" our|strong="G2532" knowledge|strong="G1097" is|strong="G2532" incomplete, and|strong="G2532" our|strong="G2532" preaching is|strong="G2532" incomplete,
9 porque, em parte conhecemos, e em parte profetizamos;
10 but|strong="G1161", when|strong="G3752" the|strong="G1537" perfect|strong="G5046" has|strong="G2064" come|strong="G2064", that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" incomplete will|strong="G2064" end|strong="G2673".
10 mas, quando vier o que é perfeito, então o que é em parte será aniquilado.
11 When|strong="G3753" I|strong="G5613" was|strong="G1510" a|strong="G1096" child|strong="G3516", I|strong="G5613" talked|strong="G2980" as|strong="G5613" a|strong="G1096" child|strong="G3516", I|strong="G5613" felt|strong="G1510" as|strong="G5613" a|strong="G1096" child|strong="G3516", I|strong="G5613" reasoned|strong="G3049" as|strong="G5613" a|strong="G1096" child|strong="G3516"; now|strong="G1096" that|strong="G3588" I|strong="G5613" am|strong="G1510" a|strong="G1096" man, I|strong="G5613" have|strong="G1510" done|strong="G1096" with|strong="G2980" childish|strong="G3516" ways.
11 Quando eu era menino, pensava como menino; mas, logo que cheguei a ser homem, acabei com as coisas de menino.
12 As|strong="G2531" yet|strong="G2532" we|strong="G1063" see|strong="G1097", in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" mirror|strong="G2072", dimly, but|strong="G1161" then|strong="G2532" – face|strong="G4383" to|strong="G4314" face|strong="G4383"! As|strong="G2531" yet|strong="G2532" my|strong="G1722" knowledge|strong="G1921" is|strong="G2532" incomplete, but|strong="G1161" then|strong="G2532" I|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" know|strong="G1097" in|strong="G1722" full|strong="G1722", as|strong="G2531" I|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2532" been|strong="G2532" fully|strong="G1921" known|strong="G1097".
12 Porque agora vemos como por espelho, em enigma, mas então veremos face a face; agora conheço em parte, mas então conhecerei plenamente, como também sou plenamente conhecido.
13 Meanwhile|strong="G1161" faith|strong="G4102", hope|strong="G1680", and|strong="G1161" love endure – these|strong="G3778" three|strong="G5140", but|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1161" greatest|strong="G3173" of|strong="G1680" these|strong="G3778" is|strong="G3588" love.
13 Agora, pois, permanecem a fé, a esperança, o amor, estes três; mas o maior destes é o amor.
