GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVT
1 On the fourth day of the ninth month (the month of Chislev) in Darius’ fourth year as king, the Lord spoke his word to Zechariah.
1 Em 7 de dezembro do quarto ano do reinado de Dario, o S enhor deu outra mensagem a Zacarias.
2 Now, ⌞the people from⌟ Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech with their men to ask the Lord for a blessing.
2 O povo de Betel tinha enviado Sarezer, Regem-Meleque e seus homens para buscar o favor do S enhor
3 They asked the priests from the house of the Lord of Armies as well as the prophets, “Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done for so many years?”
3 e para perguntar aos profetas e aos sacerdotes no templo do S enhor dos Exércitos: “Devemos continuar a lamentar e jejuar no quinto mês, como temos feito por tantos anos?”.
4 Then the Lord of Armies spoke his word to me. He said,
4 Em resposta, o S enhor dos Exércitos me deu esta mensagem:
5 “Tell all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months these past 70 years, did you really do it for me?
5 “Diga a todo o seu povo e a seus sacerdotes: ‘Durante estes setenta anos de exílio, vocês jejuaram e lamentaram no quinto e no sétimo mês, mas foi, de fato, para mim que jejuaram?
6 When you ate and drank, didn’t you do it to benefit yourselves?
6 E, mesmo agora, não comem e bebem apenas para agradar a si mesmos?
7 Aren’t these the same words that the Lord announced through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding cities were inhabited and undisturbed and the Negev and the foothills were still inhabited?’ ”
7 Não é esta a mesma mensagem que o S enhor proclamou por meio dos profetas no passado, quando Jerusalém e as cidades de Judá estavam cheias de gente, e quando havia muitos habitantes no Neguebe e nas colinas de Judá?’”.
8 Then the Lord spoke his word to Zechariah. He said,
8 Então Zacarias recebeu esta mensagem do S enhor :
9 “This is what the Lord of Armies says: Administer real justice, and be compassionate and kind to each other.
9 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Julguem com justiça e mostrem compaixão e bondade uns pelos outros.
10 Don’t oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and poor people. And don’t even think of doing evil to each other.
10 Não oprimam as viúvas, nem os órfãos, nem os estrangeiros, nem os pobres. E não tramem o mal uns contra os outros.
11 “But people refused to pay attention. They shrugged their shoulders at me and shut their ears so that they couldn’t hear.
11 “Seus antepassados não quiseram ouvir esta mensagem. Em rebeldia, deram-me as costas e taparam os ouvidos para não escutar.
12 They made their hearts as hard as flint so that they couldn’t hear the Lord’s teachings, the words that the Lord of Armies had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord of Armies became very angry.
12 Tornaram o coração duro como pedra, para não ouvir as instruções nem as mensagens que o S enhor dos Exércitos lhes enviou por seu Espírito, por meio dos antigos profetas. Por isso o S enhor dos Exércitos ficou tão irado com eles.
13 “When I called, they wouldn’t listen. So now when they call, I won’t listen, says the Lord of Armies.
13 “Porque não quiseram ouvir quando eu os chamei, não os ouvi quando eles me chamaram, diz o S enhor dos Exércitos.
14 I used a windstorm to scatter them among all the nations, nations they hadn’t even heard of. They left behind a land so ruined that no one is able to travel through it. They have turned a pleasant land into a wasteland.”
14 Como um vendaval, eu os espalhei entre as nações distantes, que eles não conheciam. Sua terra ficou tão desolada que ninguém sequer passava por ela. Transformaram sua terra agradável num deserto”.
