GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
1 Naquela mesma hora chegaram-se a Jesus os seus discípulos e perguntaram: Quem é o maior no reino do céu?
2 He called a little child and had him stand among them.
2 E Jesus, chamando uma criancinha, colocou-a no meio deles,
3 Then he said to them, “I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
3 e disse: Na verdade eu vos digo que, se não vos converterdes e não vos tornardes como criancinhas, de modo algum entrareis no reino do céu.
4 Whoever becomes like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
4 Portanto, todo aquele que se humilhar como esta criancinha, esse é o maior no reino do céu.
5 And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me.
5 E quem receber em meu nome uma criancinha, tal como esta, recebe a mim.
6 “These little ones believe in me. It would be best for the person who causes one of them to lose faith to be drowned in the sea with a large stone hung around his neck.
6 Mas, quem ofender um destes pequeninos que creem em mim, seria melhor para ele que pendurasse ao pescoço uma pedra de moinho, e que se afogasse no fundo do mar.
7 How horrible it will be for the world because it causes people to lose their faith. Situations that cause people to lose their faith will arise. How horrible it will be for the person who causes someone to lose his faith!
7 Ai do mundo, por causa das ofensas! Pois é necessário que venham ofensas; mas ai do homem por quem vem a ofensa!
8 “If your hand or your foot causes you to lose your faith, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life disabled or injured than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into everlasting fire.
8 Portanto, se a tua mão ou o teu pé te ofender, corta-o, e lança-o para longe de ti; é melhor para ti entrar na vida coxo ou aleijado, do que, tendo duas mãos ou dois pés, seres lançado no fogo eterno.
9 If your eye causes you to lose your faith, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hellfire.
9 E, se o teu olho te ofender, arranca-o, e lança-o para longe de ti; é melhor para ti entrar na vida com um olho só, do que, tendo dois olhos, seres lançado no fogo do inferno.
10 “Be careful not to despise these little ones. I can guarantee that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father, who is in heaven.
10 Vede, não desprezeis a nenhum destes pequeninos, porque eu vos digo que os seus anjos no céu sempre veem a face de meu Pai que está no céu.
11 — ausente —
11 Portanto o Filho do homem veio salvar o que estava perdido.
12 “What do you think? Suppose a man has 100 sheep and one of them strays. Won’t he leave the 99 sheep in the hills to look for the one that has strayed?
12 O que vos parece? Se algum homem tiver cem ovelhas, e uma delas se desgarrar, ele não irá pelos montes, deixando as noventa e nove, em busca da que se desgarrou?
13 I can guarantee this truth: If he finds it, he is happier about it than about the 99 that have not strayed.
13 E, se porventura a encontra, na verdade eu vos digo que ele se regozijará mais com aquela ovelha, do que pelas noventa e nove que não se desgarraram.
14 In the same way, your Father in heaven does not want one of these little ones to be lost.
14 Assim também, não é a vontade de vosso Pai que está no céu, que se pereça um destes pequeninos.
15 “If a believer does something wrong, go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that believer.
15 Além disso, se teu irmão pecar contra ti, vai, e diz-lhe a sua culpa entre ti e ele somente; se ele te ouvir, ganhaste a teu irmão.
16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you so that every accusation may be verified by two or three witnesses.
16 Se, porém, ele não te ouvir, então leva contigo mais um ou dois, para que pela boca de duas ou três testemunhas cada palavra seja confirmada.
17 If he ignores these witnesses, tell it to the community of believers. If he also ignores the community, deal with him as you would a heathen or a tax collector.
17 E, se ele recusar ouvi-los, dize-o à igreja; mas se recusar ouvir a igreja, seja ele para ti como um homem gentio e um publicano.
18 I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free.
18 Na verdade eu vos digo: Tudo o que ligardes na terra será ligado no céu, e tudo o que desligardes na terra será desligado no céu.
19 “I can guarantee again that if two of you agree on anything here on earth, my Father in heaven will accept it.
19 Ainda eu vos digo que, se dois de vós concordarem na terra acerca de qualquer coisa que pedirem, isso lhes será feito por meu Pai que está no céu.
20 Where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.”
20 Porque, onde estiverem dois ou três reunidos em meu nome, ali estou eu no meio deles.
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked him, “Lord, how often do I have to forgive a believer who wrongs me? Seven times?”
21 Então Pedro, aproximando-se dele, disse: Senhor, até quantas vezes o meu irmão pecará contra mim, e eu o perdoarei? Até sete vezes?
22 Jesus answered him, “I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy times seven.
22 Jesus lhe disse: Eu não te digo que até sete vezes; mas até setenta vezes sete.
23 “That is why the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
23 Portanto, o reino do céu é semelhante a certo rei, que quis acertar contas com os seus servos.
24 When he began to do this, a servant who owed him millions of dollars was brought to him.
24 E, começando a acertá-las, foi-lhe apresentado um que lhe devia dez mil talentos.
25 Because he could not pay off the debt, the master ordered him, his wife, his children, and all that he had to be sold to pay off the account.
25 Porém, não tendo ele com que pagar, ordenou seu senhor que fossem vendidos ele, e sua esposa e seus filhos, e tudo que ele tinha, e que o pagamento fosse feito.
26 Then the servant fell at his master’s feet and said, ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay everything!’
26 Então o servo se prostrou, e o adorou, dizendo: Senhor, tem paciência comigo, e eu tudo te pagarei.
27 “The master felt sorry for his servant, freed him, and canceled his debt.
27 Então, movido de compaixão, o senhor do servo soltou-o e perdoou-lhe a dívida.
28 But when that servant went away, he found a servant who owed him hundreds of dollars. He grabbed the servant he found and began to choke him. ‘Pay what you owe!’ he said.
28 Saindo, porém, este servo, encontrou um dos seus conservos, que lhe devia cem denários; e, lançando mão dele, tomou-o pela garganta, dizendo: Paga-me o que tu me deves.
29 “Then that other servant fell at his feet and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’
29 Então o seu conservo, caindo-lhe aos pés, pediu-lhe, dizendo: Tem paciência comigo, e eu te pagarei tudo.
30 But he refused. Instead, he turned away and had that servant put into prison until he would repay what he owed.
30 Ele, porém, não quis; antes, lançou-o na prisão, até que pagasse a dívida.
31 “The other servants who worked with him saw what had happened and felt very sad. They told their master the whole story.
31 Vendo, pois, os seus conservos o que foi feito, entristeceram-se muito, e foram contar a seu senhor tudo o que foi feito.
32 “Then his master sent for him and said to him, ‘You evil servant! I canceled your entire debt, because you begged me.
32 Seu senhor então, chamando-o, disse-lhe: Servo perverso, perdoei-te toda aquela dívida, porque tu me suplicaste.
33 Shouldn’t you have treated the other servant as mercifully as I treated you?’
33 Não devias tu, igualmente, ter compaixão do teu conservo, como eu também tive misericórdia de ti?
34 “His master was so angry that he handed him over to the torturers until he would repay everything that he owed.
34 E, indignado, o seu senhor o entregou aos atormentadores, até que ele pagasse tudo o que lhe devia.
35 That is what my Father in heaven will do to you if each of you does not sincerely forgive other believers.”
35 Assim também meu Pai celeste fará convosco, se de coração não perdoardes cada um as ofensas do seu irmão.
