GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs ACF
1 Once Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he stopped praying, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray as John taught his disciples.”
1 E aconteceu que, estando ele a orar num certo lugar, quando acabou, lhe disse um dos seus discípulos: Senhor, ensina-nos a orar, como também João ensinou aos seus discípulos.
2 Jesus told them, “When you pray, say this:
2 E ele lhes disse: Quando orardes, dizei: Pai nosso, que estás nos céus, santificado seja o teu nome; venha o teu reino; seja feita a tua vontade, assim na terra, como no céu.
3 Give us our bread day by day.
3 Dá-nos cada dia o nosso pão cotidiano;
4 Forgive us as we forgive everyone else.
4 E perdoa-nos os nossos pecados, pois também nós perdoamos a qualquer que nos deve, e não nos conduzas à tentação, mas livra-nos do mal.
5 Jesus said to his disciples, “Suppose one of you has a friend. Suppose you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, let me borrow three loaves of bread.
5 Disse-lhes também: Qual de vós terá um amigo, e, se for procurá-lo à meia-noite, e lhe disser: Amigo, empresta-me três pães,
6 A friend of mine on a trip has dropped in on me, and I don’t have anything to serve him.’
6 Pois que um amigo meu chegou a minha casa, vindo de caminho, e não tenho que apresentar-lhe;
7 Your friend might answer you from inside his house, ‘Don’t bother me! The door is already locked, and my children are in bed. I can’t get up to give you anything.’
7 Se ele, respondendo de dentro, disser: Não me importunes; já está a porta fechada, e os meus filhos estão comigo na cama; não posso levantar-me para tos dar;
8 I can guarantee that although he doesn’t want to get up to give you anything, he will get up and give you whatever you need because he is your friend and because you were so bold.
8 Digo-vos que, ainda que não se levante a dar-lhos, por ser seu amigo, levantar-se-á, todavia, por causa da sua importunação, e lhe dará tudo o que houver mister.
9 “So I tell you to ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.
9 E eu vos digo a vós: Pedi, e dar-se-vos-á; buscai, e achareis; batei, e abrir-se-vos-á;
10 Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the person who knocks, the door will be opened.
10 Porque qualquer que pede recebe; e quem busca acha; e a quem bate abrir-se-lhe-á.
11 “If your child asks you, his father, for a fish, would you give him a snake instead?
11 E qual o pai de entre vós que, se o filho lhe pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra? Ou, também, se lhe pedir peixe, lhe dará por peixe uma serpente?
12 Or if your child asks you for an egg, would you give him a scorpion?
12 Ou, também, se lhe pedir um ovo, lhe dará um escorpião?
13 Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
13 Pois se vós, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas dádivas aos vossos filhos, quanto mais dará o Pai celestial o Espírito Santo àqueles que lho pedirem?
14 Jesus was forcing a demon out of a man. The demon had made the man unable to talk. When the demon had gone out, the man began to talk.
14 E estava ele expulsando um demônio, o qual era mudo. E aconteceu que, saindo o demônio, o mudo falou; e maravilhou-se a multidão.
15 But some of them said, “He can force demons out of people only with the help of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons.”
15 Mas alguns deles diziam: Ele expulsa os demônios por Belzebu, príncipe dos demônios.
16 Others wanted to test Jesus and demanded that he show them some miraculous sign from heaven.
16 E outros, tentando-o, pediam-lhe um sinal do céu.
17 Since Jesus knew what they were thinking, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is ruined. A house divided against itself falls.
17 Mas, conhecendo ele os seus pensamentos, disse-lhes: Todo o reino, dividido contra si mesmo, será assolado; e a casa, dividida contra si mesma, cairá.
18 Now, if Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom last? I say this because you say Beelzebul helps me force demons out of people.
18 E, se também Satanás está dividido contra si mesmo, como subsistirá o seu reino? Pois dizeis que eu expulso os demônios por Belzebu.
19 If I force demons out with the help of Beelzebul, who helps your followers force them out? That’s why they will be your judges.
19 E, se eu expulso os demônios por Belzebu, por quem os expulsam vossos filhos? Eles, pois, serão os vossos juízes.
20 But if I force out demons with the help of God’s power, then God’s kingdom has come to you.
20 Mas, se eu expulso os demônios pelo dedo de Deus, certamente a vós é chegado o reino de Deus.
21 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own mansion, his property is safe.
21 Quando o valente guarda, armado, a sua casa, em segurança está tudo quanto tem;
22 But a stronger man than he may attack him and defeat him. Then the stronger man will take away all the weapons in which the strong man trusted and will divide the loot.
22 Mas, sobrevindo outro mais valente do que ele, e vencendo-o, tira-lhe toda a sua armadura em que confiava, e reparte os seus despojos.
23 “Whoever isn’t with me is against me. Whoever doesn’t gather with me scatters.
23 Quem não é comigo é contra mim; e quem comigo não ajunta, espalha.
24 “When an evil spirit comes out of a person, it goes through dry places looking for a place to rest. But it doesn’t find any. Then it says, ‘I’ll go back to the home I left.’
24 Quando o espírito imundo tem saído do homem, anda por lugares secos, buscando repouso; e, não o achando, diz: Tornarei para minha casa, de onde saí.
25 When it comes, it finds the house swept clean and in order.
25 E, chegando, acha-a varrida e adornada.
26 Then the spirit goes and brings along seven other spirits more evil than itself. They enter and take up permanent residence there. In the end the condition of that person is worse than it was before.”
26 Então vai, e leva consigo outros sete espíritos piores do que ele e, entrando, habitam ali; e o último estado desse homem é pior do que o primeiro.
27 While Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd shouted, “How blessed is the mother who gave birth to you and the breasts that nursed you.”
27 E aconteceu que, dizendo ele estas coisas, uma mulher dentre a multidão, levantando a voz, lhe disse: Bem-aventurado o ventre que te trouxe e os peitos em que mamaste.
28 Jesus replied, “Rather, how blessed are those who hear and obey God’s word.”
28 Mas ele disse: Antes bemaventurados os que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a guardam.
29 As the people were gathering around him, Jesus said, “The people living today are evil. They look for a miraculous sign. But the only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah.
29 E, ajuntando-se a multidão, começou a dizer: Maligna é esta geração; ela pede um sinal; e não lhe será dado outro sinal, senão o sinal do profeta Jonas;
30 Just as Jonah became a miraculous sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man will be a miraculous sign to the people living today.
30 Porquanto, assim como Jonas foi sinal para os ninivitas, assim o Filho do homem o será também para esta geração.
31 The queen from the south will stand up at the time of judgment with the men who live today. She will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear Solomon’s wisdom. But look, someone greater than Solomon is here!
31 A rainha do sul se levantará no juízo com os homens desta geração, e os condenará; pois até dos confins da terra veio ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão; e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Salomão.
32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the time of judgment with the people living today. Since the men of Nineveh turned to God and changed the way they thought and acted when Jonah spoke his message, they will condemn the people living today. But look, someone greater than Jonah is here!
32 Os homens de Nínive se levantarão no juízo com esta geração, e a condenarão; pois se converteram com a pregação de Jonas; e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Jonas.
33 “No one lights a lamp and hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, everyone who lights a lamp puts it on a lamp stand so that those who come in will see its light.
33 E ninguém, acendendo uma candeia, a põe em oculto, nem debaixo do alqueire, mas no velador, para que os que entram vejam a luz.
34 “Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is unclouded, your whole body is full of light. But when your eye is evil, your body is full of darkness.
34 A candeia do corpo é o olho. Sendo, pois, o teu olho simples, também todo o teu corpo será luminoso; mas, se for mau, também o teu corpo será tenebroso.
35 So be careful that the light in you isn’t darkness.
35 Vê, pois, que a luz que em ti há não sejam trevas.
36 If your whole body is full of light and not darkness, it will be as bright as a lamp shining on you.”
36 Se, pois, todo o teu corpo é luminoso, não tendo em trevas parte alguma, todo será luminoso, como quando a candeia te ilumina com o seu resplendor.
37 After Jesus spoke, a Pharisee invited him to have lunch at his house. So Jesus accepted the invitation.
37 E, estando ele ainda falando, rogou-lhe um fariseu que fosse jantar com ele; e, entrando, assentou-se à mesa.
38 The Pharisee was surprised to see that Jesus didn’t wash before the meal.
38 Mas o fariseu admirou-se, vendo que não se lavara antes de jantar.
39 The Lord said to him, “You Pharisees clean the outside of cups and dishes. But inside you are full of greed and evil.
39 E o Senhor lhe disse: Agora vós, os fariseus, limpais o exterior do copo e do prato; mas o vosso interior está cheio de rapina e maldade.
40 You fools! Didn’t the one who made the outside make the inside too?
40 Loucos! Quem fez o exterior não fez também o interior?
41 Give what is inside as a gift to the poor, and then everything will be clean for you.
41 Antes dai esmola do que tiverdes, e eis que tudo vos será limpo.
42 “How horrible it will be for you Pharisees! You give ⌞God⌟ one-tenth of your mint, spices, and every garden herb. But you have ignored justice and the love of God. You should have done these things without ignoring the others.
42 Mas ai de vós, fariseus, que dizimais a hortelã, e a arruda, e toda a hortaliça, e desprezais o juízo e o amor de Deus. Importava fazer estas coisas, e não deixar as outras.
43 “How horrible it will be for you Pharisees! You love to sit in the front seats in the synagogues and to be greeted in the marketplaces.
43 Ai de vós, fariseus, que amais os primeiros assentos nas sinagogas, e as saudações nas praças.
44 How horrible it will be for you! You are like unmarked graves. People walk on them without knowing what they are.”
44 Ai de vós, escribas e fariseus, hipócritas! que sois como as sepulturas que não aparecem, e os homens que sobre elas andam não o sabem.
45 One of the experts in Moses’ Teachings said to him, “Teacher, when you talk this way, you insult us too.”
45 E, respondendo um dos doutores da lei, disse-lhe: Mestre, quando dizes isso, também nos afrontas a nós.
46 Jesus said, “How horrible it will be for you experts in Moses’ Teachings! You burden people with loads that are hard to carry. But you won’t lift a finger to carry any of these loads.
46 E ele lhe disse: Ai de vós também, doutores da lei, que carregais os homens com cargas difíceis de transportar, e vós mesmos nem ainda com um dos vossos dedos tocais essas cargas.
47 “How horrible it will be for you! You build the monuments for the prophets. But it was your ancestors who murdered them.
47 Ai de vós que edificais os sepulcros dos profetas, e vossos pais os mataram.
48 So you are witnesses and approve of what your ancestors did. They murdered the prophets for whom you build monuments.
48 Bem testificais, pois, que consentis nas obras de vossos pais; porque eles os mataram, e vós edificais os seus sepulcros.
49 That’s why the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles. They will murder some of those prophets and apostles and persecute others.’
49 Por isso diz também a sabedoria de Deus: Profetas e apóstolos lhes mandarei; e eles matarão uns, e perseguirão outros;
50 So the people living now will be charged with the murder of every prophet since the world was made.
50 Para que desta geração seja requerido o sangue de todos os profetas que, desde a fundação do mundo, foi derramado;
51 This includes the murders from Abel to Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the temple. Yes, I can guarantee this truth: The people living today will be held responsible for this.
51 Desde o sangue de Abel, até ao sangue de Zacarias, que foi morto entre o altar e o templo; assim, vos digo, será requerido desta geração.
52 “How horrible it will be for you experts in Moses’ Teachings! You have taken away the key that unlocks knowledge. You haven’t gained entrance into ⌞knowledge⌟ yourselves, and you’ve kept out those who wanted to enter.”
52 Ai de vós, doutores da lei, que tirastes a chave da ciência; vós mesmos não entrastes, e impedistes os que entravam.
53 When Jesus left, the experts in Moses’ Teachings and the Pharisees held a terrible grudge against him. They questioned him about many things
53 E, dizendo-lhes ele isto, começaram os escribas e os fariseus a apertá-lo fortemente, e a fazê-lo falar acerca de muitas coisas,
54 and watched him closely to trap him in something he might say.
54 Armando-lhe ciladas, e procurando apanhar da sua boca alguma coisa para o acusarem.
