GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs ARA
1 ⌞Then Jesus said,⌟ “I am the true vine, and my Father takes care of the vineyard.
1 Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o agricultor.
2 He removes every one of my branches that doesn’t produce fruit. He also prunes every branch that does produce fruit to make it produce more fruit.
2 Todo ramo que, estando em mim, não der fruto, ele o corta; e todo o que dá fruto limpa, para que produza mais fruto ainda.
3 “You are already clean because of what I have told you.
3 Vós já estais limpos pela palavra que vos tenho falado;
4 Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.
4 permanecei em mim, e eu permanecerei em vós. Como não pode o ramo produzir fruto de si mesmo, se não permanecer na videira, assim, nem vós o podeis dar, se não permanecerdes em mim.
5 “I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who live in me while I live in them will produce a lot of fruit. But you can’t produce anything without me.
5 Eu sou a videira, vós, os ramos. Quem permanece em mim, e eu, nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.
6 Whoever doesn’t live in me is thrown away like a branch and dries up. Branches like this are gathered, thrown into a fire, and burned.
6 Se alguém não permanecer em mim, será lançado fora, à semelhança do ramo, e secará; e o apanham, lançam no fogo e o queimam.
7 If you live in me and what I say lives in you, then ask for anything you want, and it will be yours.
7 Se permanecerdes em mim, e as minhas palavras permanecerem em vós, pedireis o que quiserdes, e vos será feito.
8 You give glory to my Father when you produce a lot of fruit and therefore show that you are my disciples.
8 Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, em que deis muito fruto; e assim vos tornareis meus discípulos.
9 “I have loved you the same way the Father has loved me. So live in my love.
9 Como o Pai me amou, também eu vos amei; permanecei no meu amor.
10 If you obey my commandments, you will live in my love. I have obeyed my Father’s commandments, and in that way I live in his love.
10 Se guardardes os meus mandamentos, permanecereis no meu amor; assim como também eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pai e no seu amor permaneço.
11 I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete.
11 Tenho-vos dito estas coisas para que o meu gozo esteja em vós, e o vosso gozo seja completo.
12 Love each other as I have loved you. This is what I’m commanding you to do.
12 O meu mandamento é este: que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.
13 The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.
13 Ninguém tem maior amor do que este: de dar alguém a própria vida em favor dos seus amigos.
14 You are my friends if you obey my commandments.
14 Vós sois meus amigos, se fazeis o que eu vos mando.
15 I don’t call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing. But I’ve called you friends because I’ve made known to you everything that I’ve heard from my Father.
15 Já não vos chamo servos, porque o servo não sabe o que faz o seu senhor; mas tenho-vos chamado amigos, porque tudo quanto ouvi de meu Pai vos tenho dado a conhecer.
16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you. I have appointed you to go, to produce fruit that will last, and to ask the Father in my name to give you whatever you ask for.
16 Não fostes vós que me escolhestes a mim; pelo contrário, eu vos escolhi a vós outros e vos designei para que vades e deis fruto, e o vosso fruto permaneça; a fim de que tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, ele vo-lo conceda.
17 Love each other. This is what I’m commanding you to do.
17 Isto vos mando: que vos ameis uns aos outros.
18 “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me before it hated you.
18 Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que, primeiro do que a vós outros, me odiou a mim.
19 If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don’t have anything in common with the world. I chose you from the world, and that’s why the world hates you.
19 Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria o que era seu; como, todavia, não sois do mundo, pelo contrário, dele vos escolhi, por isso, o mundo vos odeia.
20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant isn’t greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they did what I said, they will also do what you say.
20 Lembrai-vos da palavra que eu vos disse: não é o servo maior do que seu senhor. Se me perseguiram a mim, também perseguirão a vós outros; se guardaram a minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.
21 Indeed, they will do all this to you because you are committed to me, since they don’t know the one who sent me.
21 Tudo isto, porém, vos farão por causa do meu nome, porquanto não conhecem aquele que me enviou.
22 If I hadn’t come and spoken to them, they wouldn’t have any sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.
22 Se eu não viera, nem lhes houvera falado, pecado não teriam; mas, agora, não têm desculpa do seu pecado.
23 The person who hates me also hates my Father.
23 Quem me odeia odeia também a meu Pai.
24 If I hadn’t done among them what no one else has done, they wouldn’t have any sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.
24 Se eu não tivesse feito entre eles tais obras, quais nenhum outro fez, pecado não teriam; mas, agora, não somente têm eles visto, mas também odiado, tanto a mim como a meu Pai.
25 In this way what is written in their Scriptures has come true: ‘They hate me for no reason.’
25 Isto, porém, é para que se cumpra a palavra escrita na sua lei:
26 “The helper whom I will send to you from the Father will come. This helper, the Spirit of Truth who comes from the Father, will declare the truth about me.
26 Quando, porém, vier o Consolador, que eu vos enviarei da parte do Pai, o Espírito da verdade, que dele procede, esse dará testemunho de mim;
27 You will declare the truth, too, because you have been with me from the beginning.”
27 e vós também testemunhareis, porque estais comigo desde o princípio.
