GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 Then the Lord said to Moses,
1 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
2 “Tell the Israelites to go back and set up their camp facing Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. Set up your camp facing north—by the sea.
2 Dize aos filhos de Israel, para que voltem e acampem diante de Pi-Hairote, entre Migdol e o mar, diante de Baal-Zefom; diante dele acampareis junto ao mar.
3 Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are ⌞just⌟ wandering around. The desert is blocking their escape.’
3 Porque Faraó dirá dos filhos de Israel: Eles estão encurralados na terra, o deserto os encerrou.
4 I will make Pharaoh so stubborn that he will pursue them. Then, because of what I do to Pharaoh and his entire army, I will receive honor, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So that is what the Israelites did.
4 E eu endurecerei o coração de Faraó, para que ele os persiga. E eu serei honrado sobre Faraó, e sobre todo o seu exército, para que os egípcios saibam que eu sou o SENHOR. E assim eles fizeram.
5 When Pharaoh (the king of Egypt) was told that the people had fled, he and his officials changed their minds about them. They said, “What have we done? We’ve lost our slaves because we’ve let Israel go.”
5 E se contou ao rei do Egito que o povo havia fugido. E o coração de Faraó e de seus servos virou-se contra o povo, e eles disseram: Por que fizemos isto, deixando que Israel saísse e deixasse de nos servir?
6 So Pharaoh prepared his chariot and took his army with him.
6 E aprontou a sua carruagem, e tomou o seu povo consigo,
7 He took 600 of his best chariots as well as all the other chariots in Egypt, placing an officer in each of them.
7 e tomou seiscentas carruagens escolhidas, e todas as carruagens do Egito, e os capitães sobre todos eles.
8 The Lord made Pharaoh (the king of Egypt) so stubborn that he pursued the Israelites, who were boldly leaving Egypt.
8 E o SENHOR endureceu o coração de Faraó, rei do Egito, e ele perseguiu os filhos de Israel; e os filhos de Israel saíram com braço erguido.
9 The Egyptians pursued the Israelites. Pharaoh’s army, including all his horse-drawn chariots and cavalry, caught up with them as they were setting up their camp by the sea at Pi Hahiroth facing north.
9 Mas os egípcios os perseguiram com todos os cavalos e carruagens de Faraó, e seus cavaleiros, e seu exército, e os alcançaram acampados junto ao mar, perto de Pi-Hairote, diante de Baal-Zefom.
10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw that the Egyptians were coming after them. Terrified, the Israelites cried out to the Lord.
10 E quando Faraó se aproximou, os filhos de Israel levantaram os seus olhos e eis que os egípcios estavam marchando atrás deles; e eles ficaram com medo, e os filhos de Israel clamaram ao SENHOR.
11 They said to Moses, “Did you bring us out into the desert to die because there were no graves in Egypt? Look what you’ve done by bringing us out of Egypt!
11 E disseram a Moisés: Porque não havia sepulcros no Egito nos levaste embora para morrermos no deserto? Por que agiste assim conosco para nos tirar do Egito?
12 Didn’t we tell you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone! Let us go on serving the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”
12 Não é esta a palavra que te falamos no Egito, dizendo: Deixa-nos sozinhos, para que sirvamos aos egípcios? Pois melhor nos seria servir aos egípcios do que morrermos no deserto.
13 Moses answered the people, “Don’t be afraid! Stand still, and see what the Lord will do to save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again.
13 E Moisés disse ao povo: Não temais, aquietai-vos e vede a salvação do SENHOR, que ele hoje vos fará; porque aos egípcios que hoje vistes, nunca mais tornareis a ver.
14 The Lord is fighting for you! So be still!”
14 O SENHOR lutará por vós, e tereis vossa paz.
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to start moving.
15 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Por que clamas a mim? Dize aos filhos de Israel que avancem.
16 Raise your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide the water. Then the Israelites will go through the sea on dry ground.
16 Mas tu, levanta o teu cajado, e estende a tua mão sobre o mar, e divide-o, e os filhos de Israel irão por solo seco pelo meio do mar.
17 I am making the Egyptians so stubborn that they will follow the Israelites. I will receive honor because of what I will do to Pharaoh, his entire army, his chariots, and cavalry.
17 E eis que, eu endurecerei o coração dos egípcios, e eles os seguirão, e eu obterei honra sobre Faraó, e sobre todo o seu exército, sobre suas carruagens, e sobre os seus cavaleiros.
18 The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I am honored for what I did to Pharaoh, his chariots, and his cavalry.”
18 E os egípcios saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu tiver obtido honra sobre Faraó, sobre as suas carruagens, e sobre os seus cavaleiros.
19 The Messenger of God, who had been in front of the Israelites, moved behind them. So the column of smoke moved from in front of the Israelites and stood behind them
19 E o anjo de Deus, que ia adiante do acampamento de Israel, retirou-se e foi atrás deles, e a coluna foi de diante da face deles, e se colocou atrás deles,
20 between the Egyptian camp and the Israelite camp. The ⌞column of⌟ smoke was there when darkness came, and it lit up the night. Neither side came near the other all night long.
20 e se colocou entre o acampamento dos egípcios e o acampamento de Israel, e havia uma nuvem e escuridão para eles, mas clareava a noite para estes; de maneira que não se aproximou um do outro durante toda a noite.
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. All that night the Lord pushed back the sea with a strong east wind and turned the sea into dry ground. The water divided,
21 E Moisés estendeu a sua mão sobre o mar, e o SENHOR fez o mar voltar por meio de um forte vento oriental durante toda aquela noite, e fez do mar terra seca, e as águas foram divididas.
22 and the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground. The water stood like a wall on their right and on their left.
22 E os filhos de Israel entraram pelo meio do mar sobre a terra seca, e as águas eram para eles como um muro à sua direita, e à sua esquerda.
23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and cavalry followed them into the sea.
23 E os egípcios seguiram, e entraram atrás deles até o meio do mar, com todos os cavalos de Faraó, as suas carruagens e os seus cavaleiros.
24 Just before dawn, the Lord looked down from the column of fire and smoke and threw the Egyptian camp into a panic.
24 E aconteceu que, na vigília da manhã, o SENHOR olhou para o exército dos egípcios por entre a coluna de fogo e de nuvem, e incomodou o exército dos egípcios,
25 He made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they could hardly move. Then the Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! The Lord is fighting for Israel! He’s against us!”
25 e torceu os eixos das rodas de suas carruagens, para que eles andassem pesadamente. Então disseram os egípcios: Fujamos da face de Israel, porque o SENHOR luta por eles contra os egípcios.
26 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the water will flow back over the Egyptians, their chariots, and their cavalry.”
26 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Estende a tua mão sobre o mar, para que as águas venham novamente sobre os egípcios, sobre as suas carruagens e sobre os seus cavaleiros.
27 Moses stretched his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the water returned to its usual place. The Egyptians tried to escape, but the Lord swept them into the sea.
27 E Moisés estendeu a sua mão sobre o mar, e o mar voltou à sua força ao amanhecer, e os egípcios fugiram contra ele. E o SENHOR derrubou os egípcios no meio do mar.
28 The water flowed back and covered Pharaoh’s entire army, as well as the chariots and the cavalry that had followed Israel into the sea. Not one of them survived.
28 E as águas retornaram e cobriram as carruagens, e os cavaleiros, e todo o exército de Faraó que entrou no mar depois deles; não restou nenhum deles.
29 Meanwhile, the Israelites had gone through the sea on dry ground while the water stood like a wall on their right and on their left.
29 Mas os filhos de Israel caminharam sobre terra seca no meio do mar; e as águas eram para eles como um muro à sua direita e à sua esquerda.
30 That day the Lord saved Israel from the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the seashore.
30 Assim, naquele dia, o SENHOR salvou Israel da mão dos egípcios; e Israel viu os egípcios mortos na praia do mar.
31 When the Israelites saw the great power the Lord had used against the Egyptians, they feared the Lord and believed in him and in his servant Moses.
31 E Israel viu a grande obra que o SENHOR fez sobre os egípcios, e o povo temeu ao SENHOR e creu no SENHOR, e no seu servo Moisés.
