GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NAA
1 The Word of life existed from the beginning. We have heard it. We have seen it. We observed and touched it.
1 O que era desde o princípio, o que ouvimos, o que vimos com os nossos próprios olhos, o que contemplamos e as nossas mãos apalparam, a respeito do Verbo da vida
2 This life was revealed to us. We have seen it, and we testify about it. We are reporting to you about this eternal life that was in the presence of the Father and was revealed to us.
2 — e a vida se manifestou, e nós a vimos e dela damos testemunho, e anunciamos a vocês a vida eterna, que estava com o Pai e nos foi manifestada —,
3 This is the life we have seen and heard. We are reporting about it to you also so that you, too, can have a relationship with us. Our relationship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3 o que vimos e ouvimos anunciamos também a vocês, para que também vocês tenham comunhão conosco. Ora, a nossa comunhão é com o Pai e com o seu Filho, Jesus Cristo.
4 We are writing this so that we can be completely filled with joy.
4 E escrevemos estas coisas para que a nossa alegria seja completa.
5 This is the message we heard from Christ and are reporting to you: God is light, and there isn’t any darkness in him.
5 A mensagem que dele ouvimos e que anunciamos a vocês é esta: Deus é luz, e não há nele treva nenhuma.
6 If we say, “We have a relationship with God” and yet live in the dark, we’re lying. We aren’t being truthful.
6 Se dissermos que mantemos comunhão com ele e andarmos nas trevas, mentimos e não praticamos a verdade.
7 But if we live in the light in the same way that God is in the light, we have a relationship with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from every sin.
7 Se andarmos na luz, como ele está na luz, mantemos comunhão uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus, seu Filho, nos purifica de todo pecado.
8 If we say, “We aren’t sinful” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
8 Se dissermos que não temos pecado nenhum, a nós mesmos enganamos, e a verdade não está em nós.
9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we’ve done wrong.
9 Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados e nos purificar de toda injustiça.
10 If we say, “We have never sinned,” we turn God into a liar and his Word is not in us.
10 Se dissermos que não cometemos pecado, fazemos dele um mentiroso, e a sua palavra não está em nós.
