4 Quando acabou de falar, Jesus disse a Simão:

10 Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu, que eram companheiros de Simão, também ficaram muito admirados. Então Jesus disse a Simão:

12 Certa vez Jesus estava numa cidade onde havia um homem que tinha o corpo todo coberto de lepra. Quando viu Jesus, o leproso se ajoelhou diante dele, encostou o rosto no chão e pediu: — Senhor, eu sei que o senhor pode me curar se quiser!
13 Jesus|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004", “I|strong="G2532" want|strong="G2309" to|strong="G3004" heal you|strong="G3004". Be|strong="G2532" healed!” Then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" touched|strong="G0681" the|strong="G3588" man, and|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G2112" the|strong="G3588" leprosy|strong="G3014" disappeared.
13 Jesus estendeu a mão, tocou nele e disse: No mesmo instante a lepra desapareceu.
14 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004", “Don’t|strong="G3367" tell|strong="G3004" anyone|strong="G3367" about|strong="G4012" what|strong="G3588" happened|strong="G3588". But|strong="G0235" go|strong="G0565" and|strong="G2532" let|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" priest|strong="G2409" look at|strong="G1519" you|strong="G4771". And|strong="G2532" offer|strong="G4374" a|strong="G3004" gift to|strong="G1519" God|strong="G0846" for|strong="G1519" your|strong="G2532" healing as|strong="G2531" Moses|strong="G3475" commanded|strong="G4367". 14 Então Jesus lhe deu esta ordem:

16 Porém Jesus ia para lugares desertos e orava.

The|strong="G3956" Pharisees|strong="G5330" and|strong="G2532" teachers|strong="G3547" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3956" law|strong="G3547" were|strong="G1510" sitting|strong="G2521" there|strong="G1510" too|strong="G2532". They|strong="G0846" had|strong="G1510" come|strong="G2064" from|strong="G1537" every|strong="G3956" town|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" Galilee|strong="G1056" and|strong="G2532" Judea|strong="G2449" and|strong="G2532" from|strong="G1537" Jerusalem|strong="G2419". 17 Um dia Jesus estava ensinando, e alguns fariseus e alguns mestres da Lei estavam sentados perto dele. Eles tinham vindo de todas as cidades da Galileia e da Judeia e também de Jerusalém. O poder do Senhor estava com Jesus para que ele curasse os doentes.

19 Porém, por causa da multidão, não conseguiram entrar com o paralítico. Então o carregaram para cima do telhado. Fizeram uma abertura nas telhas e o desceram na sua cama em frente de Jesus, no meio das pessoas que estavam ali.
20 Jesus|strong="G0846" saw|strong="G3708" how much faith|strong="G4102" they|strong="G0846" had|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" sick man|strong="G0444", “Friend|strong="G0444", your|strong="G0863" sins|strong="G0266" are|strong="G3588" forgiven|strong="G0863".”
20 Jesus viu que eles tinham fé e disse ao paralítico:
21 The|strong="G3588" Jewish teachers of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G3588" law and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" Pharisees|strong="G5330" thought|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" themselves|strong="G1510", “Who|strong="G3739" is|strong="G1510" this|strong="G3778" man|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3739" dares to|strong="G3004" say|strong="G3004" such|strong="G3778" things|strong="G3778"? What|strong="G5101" an|strong="G1510" insult to|strong="G3004" God|strong="G2316"! No|strong="G3361" one|strong="G3739" but|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" can|strong="G1410" forgive|strong="G0863" sins|strong="G0266".”
21 Os mestres da Lei e os fariseus começaram a pensar: — Quem é este homem que
22 But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" knew|strong="G1921" what|strong="G5101" they|strong="G0846" were|strong="G3588" thinking|strong="G1261" and|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", “Why|strong="G5101" do|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210" have|strong="G3588" these|strong="G3588" questions in|strong="G1722" your|strong="G1438" minds|strong="G2588"?
22 Porém Jesus sabia o que eles estavam pensando e disse:
23 — ausente —
23 O que é mais fácil dizer ao paralítico: “Os seus pecados estão perdoados” ou “Levante-se e ande”?

24 Pois vou mostrar a vocês que eu, o Então disse ao paralítico:

26 Todos ficaram muito admirados; e, cheios de medo, louvaram a Deus, dizendo: — Que coisa maravilhosa nós vimos hoje!
27 After|strong="G3326" this|strong="G3778" Jesus|strong="G0846" went|strong="G1831" out|strong="G1831" and|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G2300" a|strong="G3004" tax|strong="G5057" collector|strong="G5057" sitting|strong="G2521" at|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" place|strong="G1473" for|strong="G1909" collecting taxes. His|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686" was|strong="G3588" Levi|strong="G3018". 27 Depois disso Jesus saiu e viu um cobrador de impostos, chamado Levi , sentado no lugar onde os impostos eram pagos. Jesus lhe disse:

30 Os fariseus e os mestres da Lei, que eram do partido dos fariseus, ficaram zangados com os discípulos de Jesus e perguntaram: — Por que vocês comem e bebem com os cobradores de impostos e com outras pessoas de má fama?
31 Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", “It|strong="G0846" is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3588" sick|strong="G2560" people|strong="G0846" who|strong="G3588" need|strong="G5532" a|strong="G2192" doctor, not|strong="G3756" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" healthy.
31 Jesus respondeu:
32 I|strong="G0235" have|strong="G0268" not|strong="G3756" come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" ask good people to|strong="G1519" change. I|strong="G0235" have|strong="G0268" come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" ask sinners|strong="G0268" to|strong="G1519" change the|strong="G1519" way they|strong="G2064" live.”
32 Eu não vim para

34 Jesus respondeu:

39 E ninguém quer vinho novo depois de beber vinho velho, pois diz: “O vinho velho é melhor.”
