1 Reinará um rei com justiça, e dominarão os príncipes segundo o juízo.

2 E será aquele varão como um esconderijo contra o vento, e como um refúgio contra a tempestade, e como ribeiros de águas em lugares secos, e como a sombra de uma grande rocha em terra sedenta.

3 E os olhos dos que veem não olharão para trás; e os ouvidos dos que ouvem estarão atentos.

4 E o coração dos imprudentes entenderá a sabedoria; e a língua dos gagos estará pronta para falar distintamente.

5 Ao louco nunca mais se chamará nobre; e do avarento nunca mais se dirá que é generoso.
6 Fools|strong="H5036" say|strong="H1696" foolish|strong="H5036" things, and|strong="H3068" in|strong="H0413" their|strong="H3068" minds|strong="H3820" they|strong="H3588" plan evil|strong="H0205" things to|strong="H0413" do|strong="H6213". They|strong="H3588" want|strong="H2637" to|strong="H0413" do|strong="H6213" what|strong="H3588" is|strong="H3068" wrong|strong="H0205". They|strong="H3588" say|strong="H1696" bad things about|strong="H0413" the|strong="H3588" LORD|strong="H3068". They|strong="H3588" don’t let|strong="H5315" hungry|strong="H7457" people|strong="H5315" eat their|strong="H3068" food. They|strong="H3588" don’t let|strong="H5315" thirsty|strong="H6771" people|strong="H5315" drink the|strong="H3588" water.
6 Porque o louco fala loucamente, e o seu coração pratica a iniquidade, para usar de hipocrisia, e para proferir erros contra o Senhor , e para deixar vazia a alma do faminto, e para fazer com que o sedento venha a ter falta de bebida.
7 They|strong="H3289" use|strong="H1931" evil|strong="H7451" like|strong="H4941" a|strong="H1696" tool|strong="H3627" and|strong="H4941" plan|strong="H4941" ways to|strong="H1696" steal from|strong="H7451" the|strong="H1696" poor|strong="H0034". They|strong="H3289" tell|strong="H1696" lies|strong="H8267" about|strong="H1696" the|strong="H1696" poor|strong="H0034" and|strong="H4941" keep them|strong="H1931" from|strong="H7451" being judged|strong="H4941" fairly|strong="H4941".
7 Também todos os instrumentos do avarento são maus; ele maquina invenções malignas, para destruir os mansos com palavras falsas, mesmo quando o pobre chega a falar retamente.
8 But|strong="H5921" a|strong="H5921" good|strong="H6965" leader plans good|strong="H6965" things to|strong="H5921" do, and|strong="H6965" that|strong="H1931" will|strong="H1931" make|strong="H6965" him|strong="H5921" a|strong="H5921" leader over|strong="H5921" other leaders.
8 Mas o nobre projeta coisas nobres e, pela nobreza, está em pé.

9 Levantai-vos, mulheres que estais em repouso, e ouvi a minha voz; e vós, filhas que estais tão seguras, inclinai os ouvidos às minhas palavras.

10 Porque daqui a um ano e dias vireis a ser turbadas, ó mulheres que estais tão seguras; porque a vindima se acabará, e a colheita não virá.

You|strong="H5921" feel safe now, but|strong="H5921" you|strong="H5921" should be worried. Take|strong="H6584" off|strong="H6584" your|strong="H5921" nice clothes and|strong="H7264" put|strong="H0982" on|strong="H5921" sackcloth. Wrap it|strong="H5921" around|strong="H5921" your|strong="H5921" waist|strong="H2504".
11 Tremei, mulheres que estais em repouso, e turbai-vos, vós que estais tão seguras; despi-vos, e ponde-vos nuas, e cingi com panos de saco os vossos lombos.
12 Beat|strong="H5594" your|strong="H5921" breasts|strong="H7699" in|strong="H5921" sorrow|strong="H5921". Cry because|strong="H5921" your|strong="H5921" fields|strong="H7704" are empty. Your|strong="H5921" vineyards once gave grapes, but|strong="H5921" now they|strong="H5921" are empty.
12 Feri os peitos sobre os campos desejáveis e sobre as vides frutuosas.
13 Cry for|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3605" land|strong="H0127" of|strong="H1004" my|strong="H3605" people|strong="H5971". Cry because|strong="H3588" only|strong="H3605" thorns|strong="H6975" and|strong="H1004" weeds|strong="H6975" will|strong="H1004" grow|strong="H5927" there|strong="H5927". Cry for|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3605" city|strong="H7151" and|strong="H1004" for|strong="H3588" all|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" houses|strong="H1004" that|strong="H3588" were|strong="H1004" once filled with|strong="H1004" joy|strong="H4885".
13 Sobre a terra do meu povo virão espinheiros e sarças, como também sobre todas as casas de alegria, na cidade que anda pulando de prazer.

Wild|strong="H6501" donkeys|strong="H6501" and|strong="H5769" sheep will|strong="H1961" live in|strong="H1961" the|strong="H3588" city|strong="H5892"—animals|strong="H1961" will|strong="H1961" go|strong="H1961" there|strong="H1961" to|strong="H5704" eat grass.
14 Porque o palácio será abandonado, o ruído da cidade cessará; Ofel e as torres da guarda servirão de cavernas eternamente, para alegria dos jumentos monteses e para pasto dos gados,
15 This will|strong="H1961" continue|strong="H1961" until|strong="H5704" God gives us|strong="H5921" his|strong="H5921" Spirit|strong="H7307" from|strong="H5921" above|strong="H5921". Then|strong="H1961" the|strong="H5921" desert|strong="H4057" will|strong="H1961" become|strong="H1961" rich farmland and|strong="H7307" the|strong="H5921" farmland will|strong="H1961" be|strong="H1961" like|strong="H1961" thick forests.
15 até que se derrame sobre nós o Espírito lá do alto; então, o deserto se tornará em campo fértil, e o campo fértil será reputado por um bosque.

17 E o efeito da justiça será paz, e a operação da justiça, repouso e segurança, para sempre.
18 My|strong="H5971" people|strong="H5971" will|strong="H3427" be safe|strong="H7965" in|strong="H3427" their|strong="H3427" homes|strong="H4908" and|strong="H3427" in|strong="H3427" their|strong="H3427" calm, peaceful|strong="H7965" fields.
18 E o meu povo habitará em morada de paz, e em moradas bem seguras, e em lugares quietos de descanso,
19 But before this happens, the|strong="H3381" forest|strong="H3293" must fall|strong="H3381" and|strong="H3381" the|strong="H3381" city|strong="H5892" must be torn down|strong="H3381".
19 ainda que caia saraiva, e caia o bosque, e a cidade seja inteiramente abatida.
