1 Now|strong="G1161" in|strong="G1722" these|strong="G3778" days|strong="G2250", when|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1722" number|strong="G4129" of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G1722" disciples|strong="G3101" was|strong="G1096" multiplying|strong="G4129", there|strong="G1161" arose|strong="G1096" a|strong="G1096" murmuring|strong="G1112" of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G1722" Grecian Jews against|strong="G4314" the|strong="G1722" Hebrews|strong="G1445", because|strong="G3754" their|strong="G1722" widows|strong="G5503" were|strong="G3588" neglected|strong="G3865" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" daily|strong="G2250" ministration|strong="G1248".
1 Ora, naqueles dias, crescendo o número dos discípulos, houve uma murmuração dos gregos contra os hebreus, porque as suas viúvas eram desprezadas no ministério cotidiano.
2 And|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1161" twelve|strong="G1427" called|strong="G3004" the|strong="G1161" multitude|strong="G4128" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G1161" disciples|strong="G3101" unto|strong="G3004" them|strong="G3588", and|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", It|strong="G1161" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" fit that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" should|strong="G2316" forsake the|strong="G1161" word|strong="G3056" of|strong="G3056" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G1161" serve|strong="G1247" tables|strong="G5132".
2 E os doze, convocando a multidão dos discípulos, disseram: Não é razoável que nós deixemos a palavra de Deus e sirvamos às mesas.

3 Escolhei, pois, irmãos, dentre vós, sete varões de boa reputação, cheios do Espírito Santo e de sabedoria, aos quais constituamos sobre este importante negócio.
4 But|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" will|strong="G2532" continue|strong="G2532" steadfastly in|strong="G2532" prayer|strong="G4335", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" ministry|strong="G1248" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G2532" word|strong="G3056".
4 Mas nós perseveraremos na oração e no ministério da palavra.
5 And|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3056" pleased the|strong="G2532" whole|strong="G3956" multitude|strong="G4128": and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" chose|strong="G1586" Stephen|strong="G4736", a|strong="G2532" man|strong="G3956" full|strong="G4134" of|strong="G3056" faith|strong="G4102" and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G2532" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" Philip|strong="G5376", and|strong="G2532" Prochorus|strong="G4402", and|strong="G2532" Nicanor|strong="G3527", and|strong="G2532" Timon|strong="G5096", and|strong="G2532" Parmenas|strong="G3937", and|strong="G2532" Nicolaus a|strong="G2532" proselyte|strong="G4339" of|strong="G3056" Antioch;
5 E este parecer contentou a toda a multidão, e elegeram Estêvão, homem cheio de fé e do Espírito Santo, e Filipe, e Prócoro, e Nicanor, e Timão, e Pármenas e Nicolau, prosélito de Antioquia;
6 whom|strong="G3739" they|strong="G2532" set|strong="G2476" before|strong="G1799" the|strong="G2532" apostles: and|strong="G2532" when|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" prayed|strong="G4336", they|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G2007" their|strong="G2532" hands|strong="G5495" upon|strong="G5495" them|strong="G3588".
6 e os apresentaram ante os apóstolos, e estes, orando, lhes impuseram as mãos.

7 E crescia a palavra de Deus, e em Jerusalém se multiplicava muito o número dos discípulos, e grande parte dos sacerdotes obedecia à fé.
8 And|strong="G2532" Stephen|strong="G4736", full|strong="G4134" of|strong="G2532" faith and|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1411", wrought|strong="G4160" great|strong="G3173" wonders|strong="G5059" and|strong="G2532" signs|strong="G4592" among|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" people|strong="G2992".
8 E Estêvão, cheio de fé e de poder, fazia prodígios e grandes sinais entre o povo.

9 E levantaram-se alguns que eram da sinagoga chamada dos Libertos, e dos cireneus, e dos alexandrinos, e dos que eram da Cilícia e da Ásia, e disputavam com Estêvão.
10 And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" able|strong="G2480" to|strong="G2532" withstand the|strong="G2532" wisdom|strong="G4678" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Spirit|strong="G4151" by|strong="G2532" which|strong="G3739" he|strong="G2532" spake|strong="G2980".
10 E não podiam resistir à sabedoria e ao Espírito com que falava.
11 Then|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" suborned|strong="G5260" men|strong="G3588", who|strong="G3588" said|strong="G3004", We|strong="G3754" have|strong="G2532" heard him|strong="G3588" speak|strong="G2980" blasphemous words|strong="G4487" against|strong="G1519" Moses|strong="G3475", and|strong="G2532" against God|strong="G2316".
11 Então, subornaram uns homens para que dissessem: Ouvimos-lhe proferir palavras blasfemas contra Moisés e contra Deus.
12 And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" stirred|strong="G2532" up|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" elders|strong="G4245", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" scribes|strong="G1122", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2532" upon|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" seized|strong="G4884" him|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" council|strong="G4892",
12 E excitaram o povo, os anciãos e os escribas; e, investindo com ele, o arrebataram e o levaram ao conselho.
13 and|strong="G2532" set|strong="G2476" up|strong="G2476" false|strong="G5571" witnesses|strong="G3144", who|strong="G3588" said|strong="G3004", This|strong="G3778" man|strong="G3778" ceaseth|strong="G3973" not|strong="G3756" to|strong="G2532" speak|strong="G2980" blasphemous words|strong="G4487" against|strong="G2596" the|strong="G2532" holy place|strong="G5117", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" law|strong="G3551":
13 Apresentaram falsas testemunhas, que diziam: Este homem não cessa de proferir palavras blasfemas contra este santo lugar e a lei;
14 for|strong="G1063" we|strong="G2249" have|strong="G2532" heard him|strong="G3588" say|strong="G3004", that|strong="G3754" this|strong="G3778" Jesus|strong="G2424" of|strong="G2532" Nazareth|strong="G3480" shall|strong="G2532" destroy|strong="G2647" this|strong="G3778" place|strong="G5117", and|strong="G2532" shall|strong="G2532" change the|strong="G2532" customs|strong="G1485" which|strong="G3739" Moses|strong="G3475" delivered|strong="G3860" unto|strong="G3004" us|strong="G3004".
14 porque nós lhe ouvimos dizer que esse Jesus Nazareno há de destruir este lugar e mudar os costumes que Moisés nos deu.
15 And|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" sat|strong="G2516" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" council|strong="G4892", fastening their|strong="G2532" eyes on|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588", saw|strong="G3708" his|strong="G3956" face|strong="G4383" as|strong="G1519" it|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" been|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" face|strong="G4383" of|strong="G2532" an|strong="G2532" angel.
15 Então, todos os que estavam assentados no conselho, fixando os olhos nele, viram o seu rosto como o rosto de um anjo.
