1 “For the leader of the music. Of, or for, the sons of Korah. To be sung in the manner, or with the voice, of virgins.” God is our refuge and strength; An ever present help in trouble.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, para os filhos de Corá. Uma canção sobre Alamote. Deus é o nosso refúgio e força, um socorro bem presente na tribulação.
2 Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be changed; Though the mountains tremble in the heart of the sea;
2 Portanto, não temeremos, ainda que a terra seja removida, e ainda que os montes sejam transportados para o meio do mar.
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, And the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. [[Pause.]]
3 Ainda que suas águas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se sacudam com o seu inchar. Selá.
4 A river with its streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling-place of the Most High.

5 God is the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her, and that full early.

6 The nations raged; kingdoms were moved; He uttered his voice, the earth melted.
6 Os pagãos enraiveceram-se, os reinos foram movidos; ele proferiu sua voz, a terra derreteu.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. [[Pause.]]
7 O SENHOR dos Exércitos está conosco; o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio. Selá.
8 Come, behold the doings of the LORD; What desolations he hath made in the earth!
8 Vinde, contemplai as obras do SENHOR, que desolações ele causou na terra.
9 He causeth wars to cease to the end of the earth; He hath broken the bow, and snapped the spear asunder, And burned the chariots in fire.
9 Ele faz cessar as guerras até o fim da terra; ele quebra o arco e corta a lança pela metade. Ele queima a carruagem no fogo.
10 “Desist, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted throughout the earth!”
10 Aquietai-vos e sabei que eu sou Deus; serei exaltado entre os pagãos, serei exaltado na terra.
11 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.
