1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Out of the depths do I cry to thee, O LORD!
1 Das profundezas do desespero, S enhor , clamo a ti.
2 O Lord! listen to my voice, Let thine ears be attentive to my supplication!
2 Escuta minha voz, ó Senhor; dá ouvidos à minha oração.
3 If thou, LORD, shouldst treasure up transgressions, Lord, who could stand?
3 S enhor , se mantivesses um registro de nossos pecados, quem, ó Senhor, sobreviveria?
4 But with thee is forgiveness, That thou mayst be feared.
4 Tu, porém, ofereces perdão, para que aprendamos a te temer.
5 I trust in the LORD; my soul doth trust, And in his promise do I confide.
5 Espero no S enhor , sim, espero nele; em sua palavra, depositei minha esperança.
6 My soul waiteth for the LORD More than they who watch for the morning; Yea, more than they who watch for the morning!

7 O Israel! trust in the LORD! For with the LORD is mercy, And with him is plenteous redemption.

8 He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
8 Ele próprio resgatará Israel de todos os seus pecados.
