¹ “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Out of the depths do I cry to thee, O LORD!

¹ Canção gradual. Desde as profundezas clamei a ti, ó SENHOR.

² O Lord! listen to my voice, Let thine ears be attentive to my supplication!

² Senhor, ouve a minha voz; estejam atentos os teus ouvidos à voz das minhas súplicas.

³ If thou, LORD, shouldst treasure up transgressions, Lord, who could stand?

³ Se tu, SENHOR, marcares as iniquidades, ó Senhor, quem ficará de pé?

⁴ But with thee is forgiveness, That thou mayst be feared.

⁴ Mas há perdão contigo, para que sejas temido.

⁵ I trust in the LORD; my soul doth trust, And in his promise do I confide.

⁵ Eu espero pelo SENHOR; minha alma espera, e na sua palavra eu tenho esperança.

⁶ My soul waiteth for the LORD More than they who watch for the morning; Yea, more than they who watch for the morning!

⁶ A minha alma espera pelo Senhor, mais do que aqueles que vigiam pela manhã; eu digo: Mais do que aqueles que vigiam pela manhã.

⁷ O Israel! trust in the LORD! For with the LORD is mercy, And with him is plenteous redemption.

⁷ Espere Israel no SENHOR, pois no SENHOR há misericórdia, e com ele há plena redenção.

⁸ He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

⁸ E ele remirá a Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
